Starting on January 26, all travelers (including US citizens and transit passenger) must present a negative COVID-19 viral or antigen test result issued 72 hours prior to departure or have an evidence of having contracted and recovered from COVID-19 prior to boarding the plane.
US citizens and permanent residents arriving from the UK must present a medical certificate with a negative COVID-19 PCR or antigen test result issued within 72 hours prior to departure.
Travelers returning to the US are advised to stay home as much as possible, avoid being around people and consider getting tested for COVID-19 after returning from travel and participated in higher risk activities.

Pros: "I've only used United a handful of times between London and New York. They've been okay. The worst flight was on an older plane that felt like it'd been built in 1975, and the entertainment was rubbish. The staff however are always pleasant and accommodating. Their service was just as good on my heavily delayed return flight, and managed to handle the tired, short fused customers with aplomb. Hats off to them."
Cons: "My return flight from EWR to LHR was delayed by 4.5hours. Initially it was a 20minute delay; then we boarded the plane, only to sit still for an hour due to technical difficulties. Then we were delayed by another 30 minutes. Then we were asked to leave the plane as a replacement jet was required. It was meant to take 15 minutes, when it actually took at least 1.5 hours. It was a 6.10pm flight, and we boarded the new plane at 9.30pm. We eventually jetted off at 10.30pm. I'de received 10 text messages stating each each rescheduled/delayed departure time. Sadly, it's the worst flight I've ever had. I ended up 3.5 hours late for work, missed an important business meeting. Shame."

Cons: "You name it, I've flown it, but Air China takes the cake for all-around worst experience on a plane. For starters, the idea of customer service hasn't made it's way to Air China. The staff were cold, at best, and rude, at worst. The food is one step below prison food. In my opinion, it was inedible. Every Air China flight I took (and I took 4) were the most turbulent I've ever taken, almost as if the pilot was purposefully trying to rattle us. Finally, one of the most annoying things about Air China is not being able to check in via app. Their tech is from 1987, so you have to go to their airport counter and endure long lines. I will NEVER fly with them again."

I saved games and movies I wanted to play onto my phone for my 20hr flight and learned from the flight attendant that phones usage was not permitted. What a waste. Plus their movie selections were very limited and a complete joke compared to American, Delta, Virgin, or JetBlue. 2. Food: HORRIBLE TASTING FOOD. Air China should be ashamed of themselves to represent "Chinese food" in this way. I found 3 out of 4 of my meals completely inedible and absolutely disgusting. 3. Most cramped seats I've ever flew in: These seats are just tests to see how much you can put up with flying."

They say to turn off your cellphone for the whole flight. Airplane mode was not said to be okay and my husband is a rule follower and wouldnt let me use my phone in airplane mode. On flight, the crew was the same, when I was in the bathroom there was a large bang on the door..I assume to let me know to get out as we would be landing soon...which we didn't land for another 30 minutes. Food was gross, same as above with drinks. I could go on and on..needless to say I won't be flying Air China again."

Pros: "Food on PKG to JFK was very good, staff on planes were nice and efficient. Lounge in PKG was roomy and not overloaded, but food was weak. The 6 across lie flat worked good for me, not as roomy as the 4 across in some competitors but for the price was very good. I would do it all again gladly if I knew they fixed the airport - but how would you know and how could you believe them."
Cons: "Most important AVOID Beijing for transfer. 1.5 Hours on line, open unchanneled line with cut ins and it might be 2 hours if we were not a typical couple who walked past it not believing there could be sucha large line for merely doing and international transfer. This is of course after a long long walk with minimal signage. Good thing I scheduled a 4 hour layover - it became a 2 hour stand over. A horror. If I book that again I my wife may divorce me."
Pros: "My husband and I used Air China for the first time for our honeymoon to Asia. My biggest complaint is that many of the passengers on these flights cough and sneeze without covering their mouths. Speaking with a few natives from China, I learned that this was common in their culture. Please, PLEASE wear a mask if you decide to fly Air China. I got a throat infection and 103 degree fever from our flight to China. My husband got a sinus infection on the flight back. I personally will not take the risk again. The quality of the seats, service and entertainment are all mediocre at best. I'm use to seats a little bigger for international flights. The food also was very basic Asian dishes (rice or noodles and a protein in sauce). The service was just ok."

Chinese man beside me got numerous drinks/snack I got one glass of orange juice ife at my seat broken and garbled. My electrical outlet did not work no compensation for lost bag"

Pros: "Slept for most of the 14 hour flight, but there were 3 tasty meals, great legroom for a 6'1 guy, and okay entertainment."
Cons: "The flight attendants aren't rude, but they're not pleasant, a bit aggressive and forgetful, or they just don't care about what you ask for. They kind of treat you like you're stupid, and by the middle of the flight, you're intimidated to ask them for things."

Cons: "Crew very rigid and militant. Windows were ordered to be open regardless of glair since I was sick and my eyes were sensitive to the strong light. Drinks were only offered once in a 13 hour flight. I had to keep going to the back to ask for it as I was dehidrated due to a bad cold..not a kind crew. Will not fly in Air China again."
Cons: "Announcements in Chinese (OK) but when live and not the tape one could not tell wheather the stewardess was talking in Chinese or English until she would say....thank you Need to improve their English, little difficult to communicate with them, otherwise very polite, attentive and clean."
