The flight attendants were really nice and the food was surprisingly good!
The time frame. My flight was supposed to leave at 11:50pm. We left at almost 2am. In which case made me late to a layover I had in China which made me miss my last flight to Japan. BUT, luckily, a woman that worked for the airline in China was able to put me on an air China flight to japan, which again in very grateful for!!!!
When I arrived to the airport I was informed that my flight is cancelled. They found me a new flight instead, 40 minutes earlier than the original one. Which was fine. But I didn't get information in advance, and some not nice experience while not knowing if there would be another flight instead of the cancelled one.
The booking itinerary did not specify that there would be a layover in Jinan. Even though there was, it would have made more sense to allow the continuing passengers to stay on the plane rather than forcing everyone to go through customs at this point.
The flight attendants were awesome and the food was good.

No food or drinks? What the hell is that? Not even a snack. I've flown with companies all across the world and everyone of them except you offers something free to eat. Also you switched our flights until they were right after one another. We got on a flight at 12 pm right after we ate lunch. We fly for four hours with no food. We get to the terminal and have to run through to catch our next flight so no food. Then fly another two hours with no food and end at 2 am still hungry. Offer something to eat to your customers, don't be a shitty airline.
After boarding flight they took so long to provide food. Kids were literally crying of hunger.
$165usd for two 20kg (50lbs) bags on a 7hr flight for two passengers is ridiculous! Not being able to get free water on a 7hr flight is crazy! I can under short local flights having all these extra charges but long haul flights like most other carriers shld come With at least 1 free checked bag and at least free water or soft drinks on a flight.
I paid extra to sit at the quiet zone only to be disturbed all night by a crying baby. The stewardess are also not friendly and used fierce tone to ask us to turn off our phones. We ordered food for it to be our breakfast before arrival but the food was served at 1am. When asked if I could eat it later since I am really tired and wanted to rest, the stewardess just hush me to eat it now since later light will be off. It would be better if the food is served as breakfast before arrival.
The checkin counter experience was not good. I had business class tickets but was checkin at an Economy counter resulting in my boarding pass not being for business class so when I went in to immigration lines and throughout the rest of the process I did not receive priority that Business class should have received. In addition when I enquirer about TSA preaplroval at the counter I was told Chicago does not have preaplroval at Terminal 5 but in reality passengers with TSA-pre were being sent through the lines without having to take off their shoes and laptops etc. overall the checkin process should have been much more informative.

I did not like anything about this flight
The travellers were terrible. All Chinese travellers who had no respect for anyone. The had so much hand luggage that the flight left 30 minutes lates because the flight attendant had to rebook luggage. They literally screamed on the plane, movies playing loudly on their devices, no headphones. Seats were terrible, bathrooms stunk. Waited to get off plane 30 more minutes, baggage took forever. Horrible experience.
