The flight was mostly smooth and direct (although it was 2 hours late). The glow of the flight attendant’s phone was annoying as I tried to sleep on this midnight flight.
The plane was not clean. Vomit was removed from seat-back pocket right in front of me. The flight attendants were rude to one another. 3 children were seated together with their parents across the aisle. The children fought physically with one slamming another’s head into the plane wall at one point. The parents were aware, but took no action to intervene. Delays occurred in Atlanta after boarding before takeoff, in the air, and in Detroit after landing (no ground crew assigned). Flight attendants offered no support for connecting flights. There were weather conditions on each end of the flight, but I didn’t mark down my ratings for these.
MSY had lots of coffee/breakfast options for morning flights. Bathrooms were clean. Lots of filling stations for water bottles. Delta flight was on time. The plane was clean. The staff was friendly and efficient.
Horrible. Faucet in sink not working, wifi not working. Didn’t bring food or snacks
My flight out of Baton Rouge to Atlanta was delayed by a half hour. This got us into Atlanta airport 30 minutes late. I ran through the airport to get to my connecting flight. As I approached the boarding gate, I saw the boarding door was still open and a passenger was being checked in. But when I got to the gate, the boarding agent told me they had already given away my seat and there were no empty seats on that flight. So I had to take a later flight. That has never happened to me before. Very frustrating.
Lady Pilot was perfect in every way wheels up to wheels down communication, professionalism, excellent on time departure and on time arrival, excellent communication! Fantastic job with Superb attitude!!
On this flight I felt the food offering was not as complete as on previous flights. The tomato salad was a bit off and there was nothing additional such a bread or butter. The breakfast was only one option, so you either ate what they had or ate nothing. The crew was efficient, but most seemed frustrated throughout the flight. The flight arrived early and was obstacle-free, so I’m overall quite happy, but the shine in the rest of the experience just wasn’t there.
The plane was very warm upon entering. This was a bigger problem as the weather was cold so people were dressed accordingly.
Overall, the flight from Atlanta to Orlando was acceptable, albeit delayed and the typical temperature issue on the plane (hot) which has become somewhat expected. However, the staff at gate B22 for connecting flight DL1562 was disappointing. And to clarify, there were two gentlemen behind the counter — one pleasant and the other, Larry. Without question, Larry should not be in hospitality. My wife and I were first in line and when Larry walked in behind the desk, my wife greeted him with “Hiii Larrry”. And while she can be bubbly at times, and I get that it was late, the conversation morphed as Larry asked if she was drunk. At first I assumed he was joking (still not appropriate) but he was not. Clearly he was having a bad day or maybe just hates his job. In all cases, his behavior was unacceptable and offensive. The only saving grace is that he was equally rude and dismissive to all of the surrounding guests as well—although, I’m not sure if that is a good thing or not.
It feels like the seats are getting tighter. Was towards the back so maybe they’ve been like this for a while.
The gate got changed several times and the flight was delayed over an hour. Awful experience
It was an older plane. First Class was not especially roomy or comfortable. It was a short flight so there were no meal but they did offer mixed nuts which used to be normal but now is rare. Crew member was very polite and professional.
No Snacks or Entertainment. The flight was short, snacks should still be given.
The boarding process needs to be fixed. The zone don't work, especially when there is hardly anyone in zones 3, 4,and 5, leaving the majority of the passengers backed up in the aisle, especially because passengers seated near the front are blocking passengers who are seated in the rear of the plane. It would also help if the size of carry on bags was more strictly enforced.
My Internet did not work for Outlook email or basically anything. I paid for one hour of in-flight usage and it was terrible. I spent a lot of time on different sites and browsers with no luck and a lot of frustration. Other than that, the flight was on time, crew was nice, service was fine. Seat was OK even though I paid for the extra 6 inches. I cannot imagine how tight the seats in the back must be.
Everything was fine. Flight boarded and departed on time. Seating was spacious enough for my carryon to fit under the seat in front of me. No complaints at all. Flight even arrived early.
Boston ticket agent Cheryl Porter is WONDERFUL. Our Iberia flight to Barcelona was cancelled the morning we were scheduled to leave and Cheryl was our super hero - she found us seats on a flight to London and on to Barcelona. Truly a “can-do” attitude which we appreciated so much after the Iberia ticket agents told us there was “absolutely nothing they could do”. (As did the customer service agents at Iberia’s call center) Ms Porter is truly a wonderful person who genuinely cares about travelers!
I was not given the option to get on a different flight even though I was going to miss my connection due to weather delays (I did). When I called early in the morning, they said it wasn't delayed long enough; though I knew it would be by the time it was time for the flight ... it was and by that time it was too late. I wasn't given the option to pre-board with my toddler, and the food service was less than normal due to delays .... at least that's what the crew said.
American is a steady for me. I always get what I expect from them. Sincere effort to get me from one place to another.
No problems with flight. Even though I had a short layover in DFW, I was still able to easily make my connection.
