Our food choice was a ham sandwich, there were better choices but the crew took them for themselves so nothing left for the 1st class passengers. Similar situation on our eastbound flight the week earlier. I doubt if Delta knows or cares that this occurs. After paying more than twice the coach fare, we expect something better than a ham sandwich on a coast to coast flight.

Cons: My flight to PDX was quite bumpy so food and beverage service were impacted, which I totally understand. However, the fact that I was not served at all, does not sit well with me! They had to stop service with only a few rows left to go due to turbulence but rather it just being a delay in service, the flight attendants never came back to check on the customers they hadn’t served even when the seat belt lights turned off. I really enjoy flying Delta but not this time!

Cons: Change my seat when I was boarding. I already had my seat # assigned before boarding. Sat next to a man with a strong body odor. I came down with a sore throat last night so I was feeling pretty bad. Then to endure a long flight with that smell which made my trip very uncomfortable.

Pros: How does one describe spending 10+ hours in a metal tube approximately 18 feet wide at 30,000 feet with 300 of your closest friends breathing the same air while having the seat in front of you pushed back so you cannot adequately see the passenger monitor because it's too close to focus on as your knees are under your chin? Flying in "steerage" is not comfortable as humans get larger and airplane seats get squeezed smaller. Please unsqueeze! Cabin crew members were excellent. Other than that, Europe was great!

Pros: On the fight back I had enough space; good service; fine food. Great trip. On the way to Amsterdam, I sat next to a very overweight woman and her body hung over my seat. I couldn't move around enough and I ended up with a trigger point problem which immobilized me for 3 days and kept me from sleeping at night. It was very disappointing, since this was a family visit trip.

Cons: Boarding is ridiculous. Everyone who is not some kind of VIP is asked to line up and is treated like cattle. 5-feet tall woman holds above her head a sign with the zone currently boarding. Nobody can hear or see anything. Why not use the big LCD displays at the gate??? In the plane they had to restart the computer system as some TVs were not working and it took longer than they said. Toilets were kind of stinky and I could smell them from my seat on row 26. Blankets are way too thin for the blasting AC.

Cons: This was the fourth first class leg of our overall trip and the first three flights on Delta were great. The attendants were pleasant and even fun. I have allergies and requested a special meal on all legs. No problem on the first three flights. All attendants approached me to confirm my allergy and the special meal. They were very polite. But on this flight, the attendant didn't speak with me about it at all. She tried to give me the regular meal. When I explained I needed an allergy free meal (mind you this was first class), I was told I could not get it and got no apology or other accommodation. Her attitude was take it or leave it. I found this interesting since on two of the other flights an announcement was made about another passenger with an allergy to peanuts so no one could have them on the flights and the attendants were very concerned.

Cons: We were allowed to choose our seats from SFO to Amsterdam but not for the return flight. I like to be able to choise my seats when I book the flight. Choosing seats 24 hours before is not convenient when traveling for the return trip.

Cons: The fact that there are different airline carriers for one flight is hard. In my second flight they made me check a bag which was considered a carry on during my first flight

Ground staff in Marseiile great but gate crew didn't control carry on baggage and many of us could not use overhead bins because of passengers who stowed more than one and often oversized suitcases above, so we and many others had to place carry on suitcases under seat. Attendant on plane totally unhelpful and could have rearranged a few bags to make room but preferred to stay in back of plane and talk. To be fair, rest of flight was pleasant although late due in part to boarding issues.

Cons: Both ways up and down I struggled with over-head luggage space. We were allowed a cabin bag and a small hand-bag in the flight but as we were among the last half of the passengers to board the flight we couldn't find anywhere to keep our luggage and the crew had to take them away from us to store them somewhere at the back far away from our seats. As a result we had to wait until all the passengers got off the plane to get back our luggage and we were the last two passengers to get off. Unpleasant!

We lost 5 bags in the process but eventually got them 2 days after arrival. the bags did not show up when we originally were told they would.

Cons: - Schiphol airport (AMS) is small, crowded, noisy; no water fountains; toilets are dirty and insufficient in number; SFO is much better - KLM boarding process was chaotic (not by group or row number), boarding/security personnel (4 old guys) didn't have a clue - 787 is noisy, chairs are uncomfortable (my back still hurts) and very close together, they also recline way too much - food trays not collected promptly - noisy babies on all flights - clearly not enough cabin crew for a full flight - no or wrong info by pilots on timing (crew are always lying anyway) - gate is all around the back at SFO (long taxi to get there) - they inserted people in wheelchairs during deboarding thus holding everybody up.

Cons: SAS is a train wreck. everything they told us was misinformation from the first delay (there were 5 delays, one each hour, before they cancelled) The whole time they would not allow ticket changes while we watched available flights take off for 5 hours. We had no say in the rebooking - they just said wait you will get an email. The SAS workers need to be trained - how about putting up a sign that says "this line for parking vouchers ony'ly" when 300 people are lined up for assistance.

Pros: Flight left on time, plane was clean, the entertainment was good, and the food was good. The crew in this flight were polite and responsive.

Cons: Check-in was a disaster. Took almost one hour for a trainee to check us in. Printed 8 bag tickets (for 2 bags) and after we complained was told there was no line at immigration, so should be okay. Guess having a 3 year old wasn’t enough for us to get any compassion or expedited service. At gate. No early boarding for children.

Pros: The food and entertainment on board is great. I was very pleased with how they organized the checking of bags and the fact I picked it up at my final destination without any issues and right on time.
Cons: Some of the staff at the check in desks can be very rude. Also, on my initial flight, they closed the check-in early and left many of us stranded without knowing who to talk to and how to manage to get on the plane. When someone from SAS finally came, I was told I would be escorted through security and most into the plane but then the "manager" or whoever was in charge denied it. The plane did not leave for another our and instead of arguing with the costumers they could have just helped us get on the plane. It was unfair of them to close the check in desks early and on top of that to catch a plane the next day they wanted to charge and exorbitant fee. I Wii never fly SAS again.

Cons: since all tickets and passports are checked in advance and do not need to be scanned again when boarding, they really should start boarding from the back of the aircraft (after all the business, first-class, and priority folks) because it would really speed things up the main meal was good, but the snack was much smaller compared to my flight from Chicago to Stockholm

Cons: At self check-in, we received a message that we had been placed on standby and that our seats were no longer guaranteed (for the SECOND time this trip with no explanation despite our having purchased our tickets quite some time ago). We were directed to the gate for questions. No one manned the gate until right before boarding. We spent the entire time in a panic trying to figure out how else we could get to our destination in time for a wedding. When we finally talked to someone at the counter, he said this was just normal procedure to be able to shuffle seats. This is not normal. I have flown with many airlines, and I cannot imagine it is ever "normal" policy to tell people they have been downgraded to standby until just before the flight. So much anxiety. Also, the flight was delayed, and the crew had no communication about gates or any other information (within their OWN AIRLINE) for those with connecting flights.

Cons: Crew was rude. The bathrooms became disgusting halfway thru the foight w no toilet paper. For 6 hours we were down to one bathroom in coach. Unacceptable. My daughter never got her final meal and the flight attendant was rude when I asked her about it and never returned w food. Never fly SAS

Cons: We couldn't check in online because we had an infant in arms. So we tried to check in there. There were 3 different terrible queues. One to use the machines, one to check bags and another for special situations. We tried the machines, didn't work. A rep told us to go to the special situations line. There was a rep there that was trying to prevent people to getting into the line because it was sooo long (1+ hr). So we tied the machines again. Didn't work. So we convinced the guy to let us in the special line. It was nuts. We waited as our flight got closer and closer. Right when it looked like we might make the flight, one of the TWO reps left. When we finally made it, they said we wouldn't make the flight. We rebooked and had to pay extra. WORST travel experience ever.

Cons: Got delayed 13-hours in an airport with no SAS staff present to communicate anything to all of the passengers. We were not accommodated with hotel vouchers or provided with alternative travel options to our final destinations and missed flights. SAS did not cancel the flight after the first 4-hours of delay which is illegal by EU Standards. None of us were able to leave the airport as we were not told any information about potential flight departure times and it would have been $2000 to re-book with a different airline. No answers were given by SAS over the phone and their staff seemed unaware of any problems.

Cons: This is my first international flight that didn't include complimentary beverages. No free wine or alcohol, and only ONE complimentary beverage on the entire 9 hour flight! They only came around ONCE with the beverage cart! (and this was like an hour and a half before they served dinner, which didn't include a drink). They also only came around and offered water ONCE on the flight. Normally this would be every 1-2 hours. Also, the flight was delayed by about 2 hours, and they didn't make an announcement until we were about an hour late. Thankfully, I was getting updates from Kayak, or else I wouldn't have even known we were delayed.

Flight was delayed an I almost lost my connection in CPH. and it has the narrowest legroom of all Star alliance flights. my flight from stockholm was delayed and there was a massive queue at border control and no SAS or CPH airport staff to organise to get PAX through faster so they dont miss their connection I had to fight my way through the queue otherwise I would have lost my connection

Pros: It was a shorter ride with few frills but we arrived safely. The two young employees who rendered wheelchair assistance were very gracious and attentive to every detail.

Pros: The crew was knowledgeable, gracious and helpful for the entire flight. I enjoyed the mapping and camera feature of the plane. The selection of options for entertainment was a delight.
Cons: How do you say to close for comfort but then one gets what one pays for and the economics are understandable yet I did not care for the cramped space provided.

Cons: The crew forgot to start serving the final meal until 40 minutes before we landed which resulted in them nearly throwing food at people so that they could quickly get through the plane and sit again before descent. I was not able to choose my seat and was seated in the back of the plane. Consequently this meant that every parent on the plane with two-year-olds decided that the best place to let them stretch their little legs was back by me. I work with small children so I understand that when they reach that age all they want to do is kick and punch, but I didn't want to end my vacation by having half a dozen two-year-olds punch my leg or try to crawl under my chair as they wandered nearby. I still have bruises.

Pros: One of the best we've experienced--very comfortable very spacious seats , The crew is very attentive and accommodating. We were fed three times and was offered beverages frequently.

Cons: I had the same seat as I originally chose, but my husband's seat was changed without any consent and he had to change from the isle seat to the middle seat. Due to this, he could not sleep at all in 8-hour flight. I bought the ticket well in advance and chose the seats, and that was all in vain. I have no idea why it happened, and we are very disappointed.

Cons: There are two types of foot-rests, both are a nuisance for people with long legs. The one popping up from below one's seat is extremely hard to put back in place. The metallic one folding down from under the seat in front cannot be secured back and is always in the way if the passenger needs to stretch his/her legs. This seems to be a new appliance, and I jut wish they would do away with it altogether. More is not necessarily better.

Cons: I may be wrong but these days, the staff curtsy and overall well coming approach is lacking! Just a smile and a few cheerful words can transform passengers’ mood greatly!! This becomes particularly important when one is traveling for > 9 hours back to back flights!! One can extra charge for it!!

Cons: The boarding process was horrible and it involved climbing down steep stairs from the air tunnel to the tarmac to board a bus that took us to a far distance where the plane was parked. Had to new walk in the sweltering heat to the plane can climb up steep stairs in the heat! We were now kept in the plane for another hour with no aircondotion. It was boiling hot in there. We had to use the safety manuals to fan ourselves. We eventually left late and got to Lagos one and half hours we were meant to get there. Lastly not all the luggage arrived. Two days into my arrival and I am yet to get all my luggage. It was truly a horrible experience which was echoed by fellow passengers.

Pros: The crew was super friendly and always gave the feeling that they want the customers to feel comfortable and enjoy the flight. One of the crew members even offered me to move to an emergency exit seat (without me asking to move) because I am tall. Amazing!

Pros: Traveled fron SFO to CDG on AF in business class on an A 380. Lounge in SFO was smallish and not many choices in the food bar. Boarding was smooth. my second ride on A 380 in business and this trip reminded me quickly why I did not care for the A 380 on my previous trip. It is a huge plane with a huge sized business class which makes the cost less worth it compared to a Boeing. The crew were extremely helpful and caring. The food was acceptable. The seats on the plane were not comfortable in the lying position. Took a cab to our hotel in Paris (1st Arr) for a flat 50 euros. No meters.
Cons: Arriving in CDG and facing a slow immigration with the passengers of this huge plane. I didn't care for the baggage delivery system. We were waiting for an hour only to realize that the arrival port for our luggage was changed.

Cons: At one point during the flight I took a video out of my window with my camera, a member of the cabin crew barked at me in French. In bewilderment I asked her in English to repeat herself and she sarcastically repeated what she had said, in French, I asked for her to speak in English (which she had done to me previously on this Paris to London flight) yet again she scolded me in French. I was left absolutely none the wiser and it left a bad taste in my mouth.

Cons: Too many interruptions. Every time there's an announcement, it interrupts the movies and some of the announcements were completely unnecessary and there were so many of them, it was like constant interruptions, really annoying.

But when we tried to sleep, our fellow passengers came and stood at our feet and talked so loudly that we could not possibly sleep. They stayed there for more than an hour. Would have loved for the staff to maybe ask them to tone it down, if not move.

Cons: Airport handling is catastrophic. A lost bagage created the twins to be locked. Half an hour and we could not enter. Delays and huge mess in front of police checkpoint. No announcement and no care for passengers approaching departure time. And to top it all no announcement of any delays. Had to cheat my way through the priority line and run a sprint through security and beyond. Reached the gate to note that there was a delay of 5 minutes.... Grrrr

Pros: The service & food were excellent! Outstanding. Boarding was efficient, crew was polite & helpful. I've never utilized such high-tech entertainment. It was great to be able to select movies, tv, music etc. whenever I was ready.

Cons: I turned down a faster and cheaper flight because it was going to charge me for checked bags. It was only when I got to the airport that I was notified of the checked bag fee (which was hefty). This was never listed when I purchased these tickets, and I would not have bought from you if I had know this was your plan. I am expecting a refund for what I paid for the two checked bags round trip. If not, I will make it my life's hobby to let everyone know about your companies business practices.

Pros: On time - very important since we had an extremely tight connection. Crew was professional and efficient.

Cons: Delays in boarding. Ticket was bought 8 months ago with seat selected but when checking in found I was put on standby and had to wait until everyone else boarded. Assistance at gate to try and get seat assignment very poor as I was simply told to wait. On flight from Iceland to Portland the gate did not even start boarding until close to official departure time and plane left about 30 minutes late. Result I barely made my last connection in Portland but my luggage did not arrive because maybe customs checking took too long.

Cons: Over 2 hours late without an explanation and communication was minimal. During mid flight, the engines revved abnormally and it felt as if we were going to hurl sideways into the ocean. The noise came under control after about 30 seconds. The plane felt old and rickety.

Pros: I just want to give a particular shout out to Marta from flight FI655 REK to PDX on April 10th. I was extremely dehydrated and blacked out for a moment. Next thing I know, the crew is on me, asking me questions, trying to get me some help. They found a doctor on the flight and attended to me extremely calmly. They got me a nice seat where Marta checked on me for the rest of the flight, made sure I ate and drank something, got my things from my seat, and overall gave me far more attention than I could have ever asked for. Thanks, Marta! (Please give this woman a raise or a medal or something.)

Cons: The airport in Iceland is atrocious. The worst experience I have ever had in a terminal and boarding. It's hard to believe that there are so few seats at each gate and with several very large flights leaving from one small terminal and all within a few hours of each other it was extremely crowded and very hard to get to any amenities. We had to sit on the Floor!!! Then the boarding was a joke. The line was long and slow and we had to get on a bus and go out to the plane which was very awkward and slow. The bus was packed and very uncomfortable and the smell of diesel was nauseating. It seems like if they are going to accommodate so many large international flights that they would figure out that their infrastructure really needs some upgrades. Can't imagine what it would have been like if the weather had been poor which of course it often is in Iceland! Also, going to Europe, we received a couple of meals and on this flight no food was served. The food they did offer was over priced.

Cons: Why only two bathrooms at the tail of the plane? Makes for a long line of people and not much room to stretch out on an eight hour flight.

Pros: The complimentary service. The wonderful passenger lounge where we waited before going to the gate was a treat! We appreciated the free salad buffet and beverages. It was a quiet oasis!
Cons: Crowding and standing room only in Reykjavik terminal at the gate with no seating available was very difficult. There were several gates located in one small area very close together and no way to queue up for your particular gate. People were pushing through the crowd from the back to find their gate instead of being able to form an orderly line. If you are elderly or compromised in any way, this can be very stressful and uncomfortable. Our boarding was delayed and it was a miserable experience standing for so long with people pushing past us. Riding the buses and carrying our bags up several stairs to get on the plane was not easy and we were stressed and exhausted by the experience. The seats in this plane were not as comfortable as the flight from Helsinki. The seats were small and not deep enough, and had no foot rests. So the longest part of our flight to Portland was not as comfortable. Riding the bus from our arrival gate and baggage area in Portland and on to the main terminal was difficult. After getting our checked bags though customs and piled onto a cart along with our carry on bags, we had to unload them all into the bus and ride standing up holding on to everything while the driver went a little too fast, making it very hard to stay standing. Again, this makes it very stressful and difficult for anyone who is older or compromised physically. Iceland Air is not a friend of the elderly!

They also had a really nice selection of movies including fairly new blockbusters and old classics.
Cons: Food and snacks cost extra and weren't cheap, but it's to be expected from such an inexpensive ticket.

Cons: I felt very cramped on the flight over. The waiting area by the terminal gate in Iceland was crowded and there was no available seating. I got our seat assignments ahead of time but when we got to the airport they did not have a record so my daughter and I sat apart on the flight over. The staff declined to help figure it out. On the flight back my daughter was asked to give up her seat for another person so we didn't sit together again. We did not want to delay the boarding line and the attendant was not going to take no for an answer. Her seat was given to an adult who was traveling with their adult partner.

Cons: 1. Overly cramped seating in coach. In the 757, average-sized passengers (5'-8", 165#) are contacting shoulders with adjoining passengers. Arms are restrained tight to your torso for a 7 hour flight. Cannot reach beneath the seat in front of you due to close-pitch seating. And forget assuming the "crash position" anymore...the seat in front of you prevents that position unless you are 4'8" tall. God forbid the person in front of you reclines their seat...you can't even use your tray table or hold a book to read. 2. Food selection limited, but OK for the short flight.
