I used to every time get excited to fly with Thai. this time i had two Thai connections between Tokyo - Bankgkok and Bangkok-Delhi, both times my two young minor children were automatically seated away from me and each other also during checkin process. it took a lot of time and convincing the agent to get my own children seated with me on long international flights! Food service was worse than expect for name of Thai airways!"

Cons: "First, I did an online check-in and was able to secure a seat for the first leg of the flight, but was able to get any information on my second leg. So when I arrived at the Thai Airways counter to load in my bags I asked the Thai Airways representative about the missing information. His response was that he could not get into the ANA system and that I have to go to the ANA counter to ask for that information. Given that my layover in Narita was only about 45mins landing to going to the gate, I was not comfortable with not knowing if I would be on that flight or not. The Thai Airways representation at the boarding counter did help me a bit and got in touch with a guide in Narita to help me get my luggages and get to gate properly. I wanted to note that we did not arrive in Narita on time due to the high air traffic so the plane had to circle around for 15 mins. When we finally landed I had about 15 mins to get through the custom and ran to my gate. When I received my ticket I was shocked that I got a middle seat on a 13 hours flight! If I have known this earlier I would have paid for a better seat, but since I was not able to check-in online and didn't receive any info about this flight prior to boarding I was not allowed to change on this full flight. In addition, the plane ride was awful. The food was disgusting and the seat was very uncomfortable. The seat did not even recline back! I don't expect much from a short distance flight but for a 13 hour long flight, I at least expect the seat to be slightly better than sitting on a rock against a brick wall. All in all, this was a HORRIFIC EXPERIENCE I went through. The stress and the discomfort on the plane was an experience that no one should ever feel while traveling. It was an awful nightmare on an ANA flight. I would like a refund on this flight with no exceptions. Sincerely, Jessica Saesue"

When we went to the airport to checkin, there were NO gate agents at checkin. You had to check in on a computer and then drop our bag at the agriculture screening point. We went to guest services and they told us to go to the gate. We went to the gate and it was closed with no one there. We asked information and they sent us to guest services. Guest services then got snippy with us and told us to wait at the gate. So, we didn't even know if we would be able to sit together or if we'd be stuck with middle seats on the 5 hour flight until an hour before the flight left. Ultimately, our seats were fine, but the fact that no one could or would help us and the help that was there was completely useless and kind of nasty, convinced us to NEVER FLY HAWAIIAN AIRLINES AGAIN. Oh, and on the plane, they have an inflight entertainment screen on each seat, however, you have to pay for EVERY movie on it. This was not the case on Alaska Airlines, where entertainment was free."

They were accommodating and put us together, even though they moved us to the rear-most section of the plane and into the center section. Great free music stations."

Also, overhead bin area was limited, mostly due to passengers bringing larger and larger 'carry-ons' (which are not actually carry-on sized). Hawaiian needs to be more strict about their carry-on sizes for rolling bags. They should fit wheels-in, not wheels to the side. Finally, media is available for free, but only for advertisement and promotion, entertainment media is only available for purchase."

Confirmed with credit card of confirmed purchase after 48 hours of purchase. I also needed to physically go down to airport and inquire with desk clerk (who was very helpful) on the confirmation of flight info/code, next the desk clerk picked my seats which he chose window and seat next to (2 parties/traveling with child) not a problem considering I have cronic back issues. Weeks later, the Day before my flight as I checking in on line, my seats were moved to the worst possible place on the plane (2 center isle seats-again back issues would cause constant and periodic standing/sitting rotations at the very back of the plane-46 row, which prompted a second physical visit to airport front desk. Upon arrival first reservation code was not valid, desk clerks again helped out immensly. Desk clerk reassigned both parties to NEW seats (which were the handi-seats on reserve, advised by clerk that this was not "Guaranteed" seats). Later on at Check in time-Seats moved yet again, this time separated from my child (Very poor). After check in was advised to get past security checkpoint, go to gate & see desk clerk fronting gate to inquire about seat changes MAYBE they can help. AGAIN desk clerks very helpful & moved seats to accomidate my circumstances. High Stress & Unwanted anxiety FROM PURCHASE-RIGHT UP TO THE GATE. EXTREMELY POORLY EXECUTED COMMUNICATION, CONFIRMATION CODES WRONG, SEATS MOVED MULTIPLE TIMES & SEPARATED FROM MY CHILD TO TOP OFF. HOPE NOT ALL WAS AS "Stress Inducing" as my purchase. Maybe-BIG MAYBE......NEXT TIME."

My sister is lactose intolerant, and they didn't have a dairy-free option for her. They sold snacks, blankets, and headphones but no longer take cash for them. Also I thought blankets used to be free? If you wanted to watch a movie or TV, you had to pay something like $8."

It was the first time (though admittedly I don't travel oftenI I was told I had to print my own tags, using the kiosk. The person receiving the luggage was not very helpful when I explained I wasn't familiar with the kiosk. Though I was the only one in the luggage line at the time He made no attempt to give me instructions. Sent me to a "special services" line which, if I had stayed in it, I may have missed my flight. Fortunately, another airline rep came to my rescue at the kiosk and patiently and courteously completed the procedure for me. Would have liked to have some "free" movies offered as on other airlines I have taken. Fortunately I had a friendly seatmate who invited me to enjoy a movie she purchased, using one of her earphones."

One vomited before takeoff, so the plane smelled of vomit and dirty diapers. I would prefer to be either on a flight with no children, or where families with children were placed separately from folks without children. The food, while nice of Hawaiian to offer, is not great. I'd rather have some fresh fruit, cheese and crackers, if given a choice. But, having flown with Hawaiian before and knowing that they try to serve "local style" food, I just don't eat it and bring my own."

Pros: "Apparently Hawaiian is the last airline reminiscent of the 90s (minus the smoking). They have an included meal, complimentary glass of wine for 21+, complimentary non-alcoholic drinks, no extra charge for carry-ons and a non-standard somewhat fun safety video."

Upon arrival in China the 144 hour travel visa was granted with no problem within minutes, but the U.S. staff was completely befuddled by the possibility. The interrogation was completely stressful and resulted in a reschedule of the original flight and during the second attempt at flying even an email from the U.S. consulate with a link to the Shanghai/Chinese government immigration site was deemed "not official enough". i will be expecting proper compensation. I was once given an $850 travel voucher for voluntarily giving up my seat, and was flown first class to Hawaii, given 4 star accomodation and then flown first class on to China within 48 hours. This was an involuntary bump from our chosen flight time, all because of a lack of knowledge about current visa regulations and international law on the part of the check in staff. We have been loyal Delta users for over 15 years, and this was the biggest blunder ever. Also humiliating and extremely frustrating, stressful and a big problem with fulfilling our travel plans between son and father."

Pros: "I am 6'6" 300 pounds ... So I regularly book first class for trips over 2 hours in length ... Delta remains my #1 choice for both value and overall experience in first class. The difference between Delta and all other domestic carriers is just overwhelming. United and American/US Air could learn a lot from Delta. I could have flown this trip direct on United, but chose to fly through Atlanta on Delta for less money and a better experience from the baggage check to the gate to the in-flight experience."

When we boarded they said the pilots had landed. 60 minutes later they arrived, 30 minutes after that we took off. Missed connecting flight in Seattle. Poor communication during delay."

It was also difficult to find Delta at the Sydney airport. It was hidden in the back. We shouldn't have to wait 30 minutes for customs to open at LAX at 6 AM. I didn't like having to pay $2400 for a ticket when you dropped the price after the Paris incident & I found the same ticket would have cost me only $869. I should be reimbursed the difference. I also don't understand why we had to wait till 10:15 to sit inside the gate area. Directions for boarding should have been clearer."

Why did we pay $25 a bag if you don't enforce this? Food choices are funny, especially the "tapas". Whoever thinks THOSE are tapas should Google the word tapas. Delta reportedly earned 746 million in the first quarter and you charge for everything and still can't come up with decent food for us to BUY?"

They said that the TV issue that *some* of the people were experiencing wasn't able to be fixed by them and only by the company that provides it's service. So there wasn't anything that could be done. I know that at least the two guys that were traveling next to me had issues with the tv monitors as well. It was just driving it home that I will never fly on American Airlines again. I don't ask for much these days while flying, it's not like it's a luxury anymore. Her entertainment console wasn't working so they reset it but instead it reset mine (two seats over) they did this again and I let them know it was resetting mine. I was told that I was not in the seat they were resetting for ...I inquired if perhaps they should try to reset mine and see if it would, in fact, fix hers..it did. When she slipped off her shoes the carpet was soaking wet. This was a really crummy, crummy flight."

Cons: "Charlotte to Seattle flight: The food served in first class smelled awful. Seated in premium seating just behind first class was unfortunate due to the atrocious odor that lasted for 3+hours. There was no option for food service for the rest of the plane. Which was unfortunate as I was very hungry. Due to inconsistent notification that the plane was delayed / on-time (kept switching the notification) we opted to not get dinner in the airport..... To which the plane was was an hour late yet we were told to check in every ten minutes to see if we were boarding. There were no blankets. The plane was incredibly cold. The suggestion I received from the flight staff was to turn off the vent above my head (which I had already done.) I had brought a jacket and was wearing pants. On a 5.5 hour flight, the crew served beverages 45 minutes into the flight (per usual) and handed out a pretzel pack. They didn't come back through with water or beverages again. On other airlines, they promote water at least once an hour to keep swelling and dehydration down. Since I am a pretty frequent flier, I bring my own water. Still, coffee would have been nice. Suggestions: increase beverage service to at least twice / 5.5 hour flight and provide blankets upon request. Food choices and entertainment would also be good. Don't cook stinky dinners in first class and allow it to pollute the rest of the plane."

So our flight departed a whole day later and we missed a day of our vacation (we arrived at 7pm instead of 7am). I understand things happen but this was not weather related or a mechanical issue. This is simply poor personnel management. They should have a back-up plan if an employee falls ill. One that doesn't involve flying in an employee from another region of the country, let alone another state. The inefficiency continued on the return flight when it took a whole hour for the luggage to come out! Will avoid flying American again at any cost."

Normally this is not a big deal, but in Phoenix Sky Harbor Airport the two airlines are in different terminals which required a fair amount of time to travel from one to the other. Had I not arrived at the airport early, I may have missed my flight. The confirmation email I received was labeled as an American flight, but since I received it from Alaska, I assumed I had reserved an Alaska flight. Also, the confirmation email I received from Kayak had me listed as a passenger on an Alaska flight. I'm assuming I originally booked for an Alaska flight, but later on in the confirmation process I was somehow changed to an American flight via Alaska. While I don't see this as a problem for Kayak, I think this is a situation in which your feedback could be useful to help avoid confusion for passengers in the future."

On the flight back (during a layover) literaly 5 minutes till boarding the plane, the pilot is ready to go, the people are standing in line, United decides it wont make enough $ on the flight and gives it to an Ontario flight. We are canceled and now have to wait 4 additional hours in the airport. Was told it was air traffic control that messed up, not United, which was not even possible and an obvious untruth. Was offered a complimentary bottle of water for the trouble. Classic united."

I had a wedding to get to with many pre-wedding events, starting this evening. So, I looked for another flight, found one, booked it, and went to United customer service to request reimbursement for my ticket. I was told that United had just learned that another plane was coming for us and would arrive in 30 minutes, at 8:10. (My original flight had been at 6:35). The other flight I had booked was at 10:30 pm. So, United customer service changed canceled my new booking and put me back to my original flight, now arriving at 8:10 and boarding at 8:50. The plane did arrive, but we did not board until 10:50 pm. My flight left at 11:02 pm. Bottom line is that my flight was delayed 4.5 hours. I missed an important event that I was supposed to host. I missed my only opportunity to see a dear friend (and guest of honor) - this is someone I have not seen in person for ten years and was the guest of honor at tonight's celebration that I was supposed to host and missed. Furthermire, I could not carry on a bag that I have carried on for years, and that would have easiky fit. Having to check my bag left me without my phone charger. Of course, the fact that we were 4.5 hours delayed meant that I ran out of power shortly into our long flight from Washington. to Seattle. And the food was awful - stale nuts, . ;, b:;"

Cons: "I was seated next to a morbidly obese man that smelled of feces so bad people many seats away had to cover their noses, overflowed his seat, taking up half of mine, and was watching disgusting pornography on his phone for half the flight, not that I was looking, but it was a bit hard to not notice, he wasn't trying to hide it. The power outlet under my seat did not work, so my phone died, and my armrest(left) was missing it's headphone jack so I couldn't use the in-flight entertainment, not that it would have mattered anyway, the fat man beside me was so huge, his fat covered my armrest so I had no access to the remote. The guy on my right, in the window seat, while not fat, wasn't small either and hogged two armrests, leaving me with none. I had to hold my seatback with my left hand the entire flight because there was nowhere to put my left arm without either holding it straight out in front of me, or laying them on the fat mans stomach which was folded over the armrest to my left. At one point I called a flight attendant and asked if they had any kind of a pillow or something to help my situation because the position I was forced to sit in was horribly uncomfortable and did not support my back, she looked at me confused, said they have nothing like that, and immediately vanished without any suggestion of a seat change or anything, just confused stare and then bolted away. All in all a pretty traumatizing experience, worst flight of my life."

The flight was delayed until a tech could come in and service it. The flight was further delayed because there was a missing receptacle in one of the lavatories."

Cons: "Seats, no signs indicating to dl app b4 flight. No charging station to charge personal devices if using to watch entertainment on a long flight"

Pros: "The seating was way to tight, the leg room cramped absolutely most uncomfortable. It was over booked and people were left behind. It was also very bumpy ( I know not your fault) so therefore seatbelt lights were on for most of the flight"

Cons: "We are two active duty members flying to take our son to our parents for us to get ready to go on deployment. When we arrived there the line was almost an hour and a half just to check bags we almost missed our flight. When we got to the counter ans told him we were both military flying on orders and asked to be tsa checked he had no clue what we were talking about so this kind woman helped him do his job, needless to say he was a manager. Once we got out tickets the seat assignment said see agent so we did. He hands us our tickets and we are a plane length apart. Let me mind you we both just left our child for a 8 month deployment overseas. We asked the guy if it was possible to get seats together wouldnt even acknowledge we were speaking to him. So we tried again he held his hand in my face and told me he serviced me and to please step back. Ive been bawling 2 hours straight from having to leave our son. So we stepped back. Then in the line this couple comes up and they were looking for seats together, i kid you not he gave them seats together! I will NEVER EVER fly united every again. Thank goodness for this kind gentle to switch me seats on the plane because i was crying i had to leave my fiance after i just had to say goodbye to our son for 8 months!! I was so shocked!!! I will tell every single person i know to never use united! You guys should be ashamed of our company! I will inform every active duty member i come across!"

Cons: "The airplane was dirty. There was stuff on the window, the tray table. I get you run a tight schedule but if I didn't have Purell and a Kleenex I would have been really disgusted with the food and coffee or pop splatters all over the window and tray table."

Cons: "All my flights were delayed due to weather in airports that were not a part of either my destination or point of origin. Not a single United employee apologized. There was no one to talk to on the 800 number, no one in the airport. No offers for any sort of vouchers or compensation was offered. The United website did my give accurate updates for when the flights would be rescheduled and there were two representatives in the airport to handle several hundred customers. When I finally did get on a flight, the flight attendants pushes the beverage cart right past my seat without offering anything. I asked one of them if I could have a cup of water and her reply was a very curt 'no'. Rude flight attendants on top of everything else? And the final straw came when a mechanical error delayed my flight home and I missed my ride from the airport and had to pay for an expensive cab ride. The airline representative I spoke to once we landed told me "you should be grateful you even got home. I don't care if you have to spend money on a can, you look like you can afford it." There are no words for how absolutely unacceptable your employees behaved, and how unaccountable and disorganized your airline is. I don't care if it costs me hundreds of dollars more, I will NEVER give your company another dollar."

Cons: "Everything. United is the worst everytime. I will never fly them again!!"

Pros: "The ticket agent boarded military service men and women with priority. For the delayed flight, free in-flight entertainment and wifi was offered."
Cons: "The flight was delayed taking off two hours. Once boarded we sat for an additional amount of time. The flight attendant offered the option for those that wanted to deplane at some point and when asked how much longer we would be sitting she said it was another 30 minutes waiting on 15 people."

Pros: "Seats are small and cramped."

Pros: "Had a lot of leg room"
Cons: "I wasn't assigned a seat and the line to talk to the agents was long with only one guy and the he didn't help anyone til it was almost time to board. Probably one of the most stressful flights"

Pros: "Was in first class and food was good however I don't think the crew knew when to set the alcohol off to a few people"
Cons: "What I didn't like about the first class was the fact of the crew gave out a little bit too much alcohol to a few people and at which point they became belligerent and bumping into people and Isles just a little to satisfied with that and would hope that would change in future"

Cons: "Man at security made me check my bag even though it fit in the test structure. My suitcase handle was then ripped off and the fabric was ripped when I picked up at baggage claim. Additionally, another person on my flight had the same first and last name as me and we had been assigned the same seats. Luckily there was another seat but it was obviously a bit mistake on uniteds part. I really dislike united. Their employees are stressed, rude, and entitled. There's no need to say things like "hurry up" or make people check bags when they don't need to...I used to fly United a lot but I will now make every effort to not fly this airline again."

Cons: "Same as above. In the future I will be bringing my own snacks."

Pros: "I liked the distance between my seat the seat in front of me. Hands down, this is one of the most spacious planes to fly on in economy class. I also appreciated the attendant giving me the entire can of club soda rather than pouring it over ice. Staff was communicative, and the pilot provided us periodic updates on our speedy progress and early arrival. Cleanliness of the plane was also well appreciated. Even the bathroom towards the end of the flight was in satisfactory condition. Above all, I loved that there wasn't a television in my face the entire flight. Nice to have a break from seeing screens."
Cons: "There were signs on our tray tables indicating that charging stations were under our seats. They weren't working. Although the flight attendant came on the intercom with the pilot stating the charging happened in a wave around the cabin, this was a lie. Both my neighbors in my row had devices plugged in the entire 5+ hour flight and they didn't charge a bit. It's disappointing that a small half ounce bag of peanuts is too much of an expense for the airline nowadays. Given the amount of time in the air, I believe a full meal provided by the airline would have been closer to meeting basic needs of your average metabolism. United fell far from expectations on this aspect."

Cons: "I had a carry on but they said the over head compartments were too full. So they grabbed the bag from as I was boarding. They then lost my bag. Now United is refusing to send my bag even though it has been found by the airport lost and found police in a city that was not my destination."

Pros: "It was a modern plane"
Cons: "Very cramped. No snacks. Food cost money. Tv cost most. I'm a skinny person and I had very little room to be comfortable. I enjoying flying but this flight was very uncomfortable"

Cons: "While the tv on the plane is something that I could see people enjoying, the controls are located right where an arm rest is resulting in flipping channels changing contrast and all other things I had no idea what was going on, as nobody passed that information."

Pros: "Crew was great. Plane was clean. Pilots provided rapid updates"
Cons: "Waiting to leave because of engine problems"

Pros: "Nothing."
Cons: "United should have known the Sydney plane was overloaded with cargo and passages and took action before having passagers on board. I missed my UA connecting flight by 3 min. United should have provided support to connect to my next flight. They rebooked to another one 6 hours later even though they have flights leaving every 2 hours to Las Vegas."

Pros: "There was a really awesome guy flight attendant working this flight. I liked his personality. He actually talked to people."
Cons: "We never heard the reason for the delay, which I thought was odd because it was 30+ minutes of wondering what was going on. This flight had wi-fi, but I couldn't figure out how to log on, so I didn't use it."
