Cons: "Probably not an Air Canada issue but we went to departures and were well through the process when we were told that our bag would have to be checked (which was obvious). The lady acted like it was my fault that the other person had let me through with a cart and a full sized suitcase. A second young lady was a bit more sympathetic and helpful. Thankfully we arrived at the airport well in advance."
Pros: "Typical flight but trouble free, on time, professional crew."
Cons: "Garbage in see pocket and broken recline on seat 36k"
Pros: "The seating was good and the pilot was friendly."
Cons: "There was not a good movie selection and there was not a lot of information regarding the altitude and there was not very much warning during turbulence."
Cons: "crew was rude and unhelpful with delayed flight"
Cons: "My direct flight was cancelled and rebooked with a connecting flight."
Cons: "Signed up for txt notifications, but not informed of flight dep delays; told repeatedly of 'full flights at del gate but not the case, lots of empty seats; delayed again on arrival, waiting for 'assigned' berthing to open up, which was assigned to another plane; had to walk 'miles' to get to security once inside terminal - why doesn't AirCanada get decent treatment in assigned berthing at Pearson, especially after midnight when there must be hardly any flights arriving..."
Pros: "Easy breeze you flight and crew"
Cons: "Most crowded flight I'VE EVER experienced. Narrow seats and NO legroom! Servicing only complimentary room temp. Water a 3hr trip. Retired now but was flying weekly during my 30 years plus career I'm shocked at the very basic services. Soon you will probably consider and fee for toilet use!"
Cons: "One hour late"
Cons: "Flight was delayed"
Pros: "Very smooth"
Cons: "Gave us good seats"
Pros: "Flight was on time"
Cons: "Cramped seats"
Cons: "The flight was late."
Cons: "Return flight was delayed over 6 hours. Too many hours spent unnecessarily in airport. The delay in this flight cost me a day without work. We landed in Toronto @ 5:30 am. Out of security by 6 am. My shift at the hospital started at 7 am. I have never had a flight delayed to this extent, especially without an explanation. My nephew was on flight 1894 from Toronto. Everything was fine when they checked the ETD. They arrived at YYZ at 1300 only to finally board 12 hours later. Totally unacceptable."
Cons: "Having to download entertainment app beforehand isn't made clear"
Cons: "There were several delays before boarding. The communication was poor, the announcements inaudible and the terminal chaotic. The flight had a lot of young children on it. There was an incredible amount of crying and screaming in the last half hour of the flight."
Pros: "Very friendly assistants on the flight."
Cons: "Seats were not huge but on the cheapest flights it was sort of expected."
Cons: "The seats and the lack of leg room."
Pros: "It was okay, but I feel no one really cares anymore it is just a Job....... on my flight from Canada to Florida on Feb 8 th it was a horrible experience. We were almost 4 hours late due to no crew or pilots. This is my last time flying with Air Canada. Way to much stress for people who have so much stress in there everyday lives. This should be a no stress way to fly. Just sayin"
Pros: "This was my smoothest flight I have had. I was traveling alone which probably made it better."
Cons: "The fact that I never have this kind of experience when I have my family with me and we have special needs e.g. Stroller, baby, checked baggage, and kind of change to the itinerary."
Pros: "The flight was not cancelled and we got home"
Cons: "Flight was very delayed"
Pros: "Nothing. The only good thing was it was a direct flight."
Cons: "Why when the seats are so close do you allow the seats to recline. Maybe the flight attendants should be more interested in the passengers than selling stuff."
Pros: "Nice. Great way to return home and have wheels damaged on one piece and handle cracked on another one."
Pros: "Service was good, everything normal"
Cons: "Entertainment sucks.. You sit in a chair for however long and can't do anything. The planes for rouge are so old!"
Pros: "All was well. Thanks"
Pros: "I liked the overall experience of flying with air canada this was my first time using air canada before this I used westjet a lot a friend of my suggested air canada so I gave it a try and happy to have doNE it"
Cons: "The only issue that I have is the fact of the charge for the charge of the suitcase and the carryon as so much that when we get to the plane there is not enough room for all of the carryons"
Cons: "Not aconfortable plane"
Pros: "On time"
Cons: "Uncomfortable seats"
Pros: "Boarding process was good"
Cons: "No free snacks offered"
Pros: "The ONLY part of flying Air Canada that I used to like was your partnership with SAS, over the past ten years I have lost more airtravel points through Star Alliance troubles than I could have made in the decade before. Luckily when I fly from my birth place of St. John's NL, you're ground staff are the absolute best! I can give "shout outs" to each and every one of them. From those ready for retirement to the new staff just in from "who knows where", they get the whole "customer service" priority that your airline needs to focus on. Your management in Halifax "Sharon" is out of this world too, other than that whether through Lufthansa, Air Canada or anywhere I would travel, seeing that red leaf on your wing would make me ashamed to be Canadian."
Cons: "I paid extra for a seat to ensure leg room, all I got was ear ache! The flight - although half empty had no place for my briefcase, but I was "ordered" to push my sealskin bag under the dirty greasy seat in front of me. When I requested they store it upfront for take-off & landing - the french female steward started flirting with the man sitting next to me and didn't even offer a response. When drinks came around - I was handed a half empty glass with juice on it's exterior and borrowed a napkin from the next seat. Later I did get a napkin "thrown gently" over the person she enjoyed speaking with. I was happy to wait until connecting passengers disembarked before the local traffic, but was appalled when the more senior female steward stopped a local passenger who I know has anxiety about flying - to insist she let the other passengers off first. Air Canada needs to be educated on what human behaviour entails, before they can graduate to customer service. Together with my first name, you can know my last name is Floyd"
Pros: "everything went well."
Pros: "Seats are comfortable and I had plenty of leg room."
Cons: "No snacks offered with drink. Boarding wasn't well organized. Toronto airport is horrible... long lines at customs and security caused me to miss my connection for the second time in a row."
Pros: "New, clean plane. Well trained staff at the desk and on the plane. Left on time and arrived early. To keep cost down they have WiFi on board - you provide your own tablet or smartphone."
Cons: "This is Rouge the discount arm of Air Canada. As such the legroom is minimal. The announcements in both official languages were too fast. Get the announcer to slow down a bit!"
Pros: "Air canada needs a serious serious overhaul of the way they treat their customers especially those working at the Toronto airport I find their employees have an "entitlement" mentality that other carriers do not Customer service seems to be a priority not talking to your coworkers about the weekend while serving your customers"
Cons: "There was one employee who suggested to take an earlier flight and was very helpful Little things go along way"
Pros: "Flights were early."
Cons: "As usual with Air Canada, the flight attendants serve with disdain., and are never friendly."
Pros: "No entairtainment of any kind on an oversee flight ??? Flight attended had s bad attitude"
Cons: "No entairtainment of any kind on an oversee flight ??? Flight attended had s bad attitude"
Cons: "Staff was rude. And I was seated next to an alchoholic"
Pros: "Flight was good"
Cons: "No food and no snuks"
Pros: "Smooth flight and on time"
Cons: "No extras (free alcoholic beverages, movies, music. Kind of like flying in a military contract flight"
Pros: "Lots of leg room. Friendly and helpful staff. Smooth flight and comfortable seats."
Cons: "We didn't like all the walking to get to and from the plane in Terminal 2, Heathrow. Anywhere else in the world would transport people by bus if it was going to be a twenty minute walk to the departure gate."
Pros: "The Flight Attendants were excellent helpful and very pleasant"
Cons: "NOTHING !!!"
Pros: "We had a pretty uneventful flight from Tampa to Toronto using Air Canada. That is a good thing. The airline offers complementary juices and drinks of the nonalcoholic variety. No complaints."
Pros: "Hetti g home"
Cons: "Checking in terrible over two to get checked in and boarding. Cabin service very very slow and to top it all our luggage did now show at destination"
Pros: "Good crew , on time boarding."
Cons: "Entertainment system didn't work for a whole aisle. Crew didn't even acknowledge that it was not working."
Pros: "The crew were attentive and helpful."
Cons: "Small and cramped seats."
Pros: "This flight was good better than I thought it would be crew very nice."
Cons: "Seat didn't recline."
Cons: "Seat was broken and light didn’t work. Terrible response when I pointed it out."
Pros: "The crew were always really helpful and kind. They were happy to speak English or Japanese."
Cons: "Despite stitching when I could and as soon as I could. Lower back buttocks hurt pretty bad half way through the flight. This is a knock on the airline industry and not so much ANA. Comfort levels start diminish when you try to squeeze as many seats as you can into airplane. Especially, for people like me who are at least 6' tall. Also, the food was very meh. This was surprising because all my other experiences with ANA were quite the opposite."
Pros: "Cheap price"
Pros: "Crew was pleasant served a snack and drink, flight was good got us there on time pleasantly surprised thanks United ."
Cons: "Slow boarding process should use front and rear boarding but then again all airlines do it and flight boarded 30 minutes behind schedule"
Cons: "From the surly check in personnel, to the confused boarding. Even less charming than usual. The flight was scheduled to depart at 11:40 from Tampa to Newark. Twenty minute delay for boarding and then additional 40 minute ground delay. Flight scheduled from 11:40 to 2:20 p.m. Onboard the flight attendant came through with the food carte. Were any of the "lunch" items available? "No, we only have snack items on this flight." But it's during lunch time... "It's not a long enough flight." WHO COULD MAKE THIS UP? We declined to complain for fear we would be thrown from the plane. Oh yes, I have 1,800,000 miles on United."
Cons: "Seats so cramped. Fat person next to me invaded my space in my middle seat"
Cons: "horrible service representative in newark."
Pros: "Quick flight, good service"
Cons: "Delay on return flight."
Pros: "The crew , living on time"
Cons: "I had no dislikes"
Pros: "Able to change flights"
Cons: "Original flight had maintainence issue... Three hour wait. Hat to change flight to Huston instead of Chicago for connecting flight to Seattle."
Cons: "No food, no entertainment, uncomfortable seats. Like riding in a cattle car."
Pros: "Flight left on time"
Cons: "Late flight hour and 39 mins"
Cons: "Late arrival made gate connection close. Then we were delayed anyway - see next flight. notes."
Cons: "The delays appear to be more frequent and for longer periods than in the past. No apologies, no concessions - just high prices and jam-packed planes. I have tired of United's disregard for their customers."
Cons: "The crew was pretty rude on this flight for some reason."
Pros: "A 7 year old, flying for the first time was seated next to me in the middle seat. An older gentleman was in the window seat, me at the aisle. The stewardess asked me to take care of her. In light of what just happened where a parent paid $150 for the staff to watch his girl and she ended up getting molested by an older gentlemen, this is unacceptable. She was screaming and being a normal 7 year old, pushing the call button every 2 minutes, slamming her chair back and forth. I do not have kids for a reason. This should not be allowed. I was afraid if I said anything to her about her attitude that she could say I did something to her and My life would be ruined."
Cons: "Shame on you United. I was not given the opportunity to change seats due to a full flight."
Cons: "As a military spouse I was not allowed to check a bag free so I paid the fee. When I boarded I noticed many passengers bringing bags on that we're as big as the one I just paid for. They either checked for free or brought it on and managed to shove it in sideways taking up space that others needed. Some people brought three bags on!!! As a military spouse I feel cheated to have had to pay when others checked in for free at the gate. Not cool United, either let the spouse check in for free or make everyone abide by the so-called rules of one carry on that actually fits into that metal baggage guide. I would like a refund of 50.00 for the baggage fees I paid for this trip."
Pros: "So, glad that United has come full circle after some adjustment phases and flying changes that is back to being "The Friendly Skies""
Pros: "Flight is okay but may turn horrible when one is flying on an EMPTY stomach . At least they could add a few dollars to the ticket price and carry out this most needed thing --- FOOD"
Pros: "Clean airplane. Great crew. Happy with the trip from takeoff to landing. Our landing was very rough due to strong winds on runway. At one point, plane was a little sideways. But with the great crew in control of the plane...Safe landing. Scary...but lived to tell."
Cons: "That you don't at least get one show that is free on flight. A cooking show is what was the choice, but no control over the volume. And I can't read lips. So that really sucked."
Cons: "The wi fi did not work"
Pros: "No delays and on time arrivals, courteous staff"
Cons: "No complaints"
Pros: "Very friendly service"
Cons: "I specifically said the aisle seat and on both flights United put me on a middle seat and on a window seat. Both flights were late. I almost lost my connection flight. It was so late that I didn't have time to eat or use the bathroom in my layover. As soon as I got into the plane they closed the doing because my first flight was super late. Then on the food service I wanted to buy food and by the time they got to my aisle they didn't have anything ( just the horrible pretzels) I'm super disappointed with United."
Pros: "I was very happy with the crew and how efficient they were."
Cons: "I did not like that I had to upgrade to get a boarding pass."
Cons: "The snacks. Zesty ranch were not very good. No wifi available Delayed texts were not accurate"
Pros: "Flight was on time, clean aircraft and friendly crew."
Pros: "The pilot and crew responded very well to the delay. Very friendly on the intercom, offered the small things like a full drink and tv access. Good response to a tough situation."
Cons: "Pilot mentioned we would be delayed so we could de-ice, understandable because it was freezing and had snowed all day. his original estimate on the delay was 30 minutes, it took over an hour at least."
Pros: "CHANGE OF FLIGHT WARNINGS"
Cons: "United Airlines needed to repair plane caused a delay. But Safety First ;)"
Cons: "As an international traveler I find it annoying to have to pay for my bags on an internal domestic flight. There should be some reciprocation with partner airlines to cover baggage if coming from international to domestic flights"
Cons: "We boarded 40 minutes late, and there was no communication as to why or how long we would be waiting: Also, it was a full flight and there were no prior requests to check bags or how to board. Boarding took a very long time, once we finally started, because there was very little organization and they were taking bags to check once they didn't fit, while people were still getting on the plane. Also, crew members were holding up the line."
Pros: "Flight was on time leaving and was early landing"
Cons: "Leg room"
Pros: "It was a quick effiicient flight. Boarding and security was a breeze."
Cons: "Peanuts and a few movies should not kill their budget. Especially if you have acreens in every seat. Charging $7 for a 2 hour flight is very expensivey"
Cons: "Flight didn't actually take off. Terrible updates regarding flight status."
Pros: "United has become the top low service/high cost Airline. I'm 6'3" and Found myself in a position for hours on end where I could not move my legs. Even with the seat in front of me upright my knees would touch it while my butt was fully up against my seat. Offered is a single drink but not even a lousy bag of pretzels. The entertainment is down to direct tv with a menu that is hard to navigate, earplug connections that need you to hold the plug so it will work and no option to pause or start when you want."
Pros: "NOTHING!!!!!! the worst experience traveling!!!"
Cons: "I did not like the way I was treated AT ALLL!!!! THE UNITED AIRLINES STAFF was HORRIBLE!!!!! NEVER FLYING WITH THEM AGAIN!!!!!"
Pros: "The staff were friendly and very helpful when my family member became sick on the plane and required a wheelchair. They were very easygoing and accommodating about it."
Cons: "I paid for the tv package both ways, and the movies I had watched were all the same on the way back, which felt like I had wasted money."
Pros: "They tried. Booked on next day out of a different airport. No help with transport or hotel because not their fault."
Cons: "Last flight was deleyed and finally got in the air by 2 and ended up turning around and going back to the airport. Once I got there they told me they didn't have flights for the next 3 days so I was stuck in sanfransico airport by myself after paying over 700 on my ticket."
Pros: "The plane was roomy... The flight attendants were pleasant... The bag checkin was inexpensive... Quality and excellent custoner service. I have traveled many airlines... United is by far my favorite after this experience... Thank you!"
Pros: "The flight was delayed 38 minutes. Boarding was not pleasant. Never have a Stewart come by. No entertainment."
Pros: "No problems whatsoever...in fact, we arrived 10 minutes early."
Pros: "very comfortable ride, no bumps at all."
Cons: "no snacks, didnt have my debit card to pay for the ones for sale"
Pros: "We liked everything we HAD the BEST time!"
