Cons: "When I called to rebook my flight within the year and about 3 months in advance of the desired date, unfortunately Latam made multiple errors and also told me that rebooking flights only are eligible for more expensive flights. Even though there were other less expensive flights that I was able to find and see online, they insisted the only flight available had a price difference of $4,000+ dollars. the original ticket was around $550 so this was absurd. Not helpful at all, how frustrating."

Pre-Check was easy, I liked the "willing to take a voucher" option for full flights, the crew and planes were great, assigned seats and grouped boardings are good, menu selection was awesome, the entertainment tablets with free movie content and wifi options excellent, and power outlets at each seat PHENOMENAL. Plus active duty military gets up to five bags for free!?! Wow!!! I'm sold."
Cons: "Really? Flight from San Jose to Reno delayed 1 1/2 hours. Return flight delayed 1 hour, then canceled altogether. Both flights delayed or canceled due to mechanical problems. Yes, you did provide a $250 credit, but I lost a day's pay from work. Luckily, my family has a place in Truckee . Felt sorry for so many of the passengers whose travel plans were greatly changed by Alaska's mechanical problems."

Those of us with connecting flights are royally f*cked at that point, especially if your connection is short, as mine was. The so-called shuttle to the departure terminals, which are entire kilometers away, was to arrive in like half an hour. HALF AN HOUR. Who has this time to spare?? The alternative to the shuttle is paying a taxi that charges a hefty fare--and God help you if you don't have cash. The departures terminal was swamped and only thru begging assistance and line cuts did I make my connection...and then only by the skin of my teeth. It was a complete nightmare."

When we finally boarded at 5 we got peanuts in first class. That was worth the mileage upgrade. Upon landing there was a 1/2 wait on the tarmac to get a gate. That same plane, upon taking off back to DTW blew a tire upon take-off, had to do an emergency landing and everyone had to spend the night in NOLA after being delayed all day."
Cons: "1- 2 hour delay in Atlanta, 2- Missed my RJA international connection from JFK, 3- My luggage was not delivered to me by Delta in New York. 4- Had to spend one night in a NY hotel, and pay $185 for it, and I was told that Delta doesn't pay for the hotel because the delay was caused by New York Air Traffic Control. 5- After Delta re-booked me on Air France the next day, I made it to Amman, Jordan a day late without my luggage; which arrived another day late."

Pros: "Everything. I bought some souvenir magnets from the shop across from Starbucks near Gate C5(?). The gentleman working the register was very pleasant and was a welcome personality so early in the day. As a service member, I would like to thank him for his service. He was consistent in asking patrons whether they’d like to purchase a travel kit for the troops. A few patrons were abrupt and responded rudely but he maintained a level head and pressed on. Great attitude and professionalism. Thank you very much for your support! Also, I was able to get my Military discount applied towards my purchase which enabled me to purchase 1 travel kits for my fellow service members. A little goes a long way and when returning from deployments or coming home for R&R, it tends to be hectic and I, myself have often forgotten toiletries which I was able to get from the USO. The USO staff were also friendly and did an amazing job handling all of the personnel that funneled in, exhausted. Great attitudes and clean facilities. I would love to see an expansion to this USO location. They were full up this day, thank you for having this available to us! TSgt Angela Santiago Otero, USAF"

Each time was a delay of a couple of hours causing us to miss both of our original layover flights. As a result, we missed TWO very important business meetings that ended up costing us over $10,000! We were unable to provide paychecks to employees! After spending 2 entire days sitting in the airport waiting, we were offered a "food voucher" for $30, were advised to go pick up our luggage first, but they failed to mention we would be unable to get back through DFW airport security just to eat!! We had to take a taxi back to our hotel for over $100 and they didn't offer help with that or anything else. This airline is the worst!!! Unless there is significant compensation offered, I will do anything and everything to destroy their reputation further. I'm in the marketing industry and am very capable of getting the word out to millions. American Airlines... 9/11...Never Forget."

Cons: "I don't understand how a flight can be delayed and late by 40 minutes when it's the very first flight in the morning due to the plain not starting right. We have to be there early to check in why would pilot and attendants get there early to make sure plan is ready and everything checked before starting on boarding process. Heck drive the plane around to test everything. Also what's up with 1 small cookie when people pay hundred of dollars for a delayed flight. Treat everyone like first class. Better seats. Seats are way to small. And maybe lunch should come with the flight or a bottle of water and a full bag of chips. We pay a lot for those flights. After all it's so expensive to by food in the airport then you wait and find out the flight is delayed."

I was told by the App, the website, cust rep via phone, and their twitter account (I was persistent) that due to overbooking, I would not be assigned a actual seat until I arrived at the airport. Because of this, I arrived five hours early to be sure I could get home. Everything else was okay, but this really put a cramp on my day :("
Cons: "1st: the online check-in was unavailable and "buggy" every time I tried to select my seat and then tried to check-in, I was prompted to select my seat. 2nd: You would think that an airline called American would hire Americans to answer and service calls, but when I called to get help with the check-in process; my call was rerouted to India. The Indian lady was nice but she could not understand me very well, which made everything even more frustrating. 3rd: everything cost extra. You don't even get 1 checked bag. I traveled to bourbon country and brought back a souvenir. Had I known that I would have had to pay $25 extra I would've just shipped it home and it would've cost less and has less hassle at the airport. 4th: after using the self service kiosk to check in my bag, the service and ticketing crew would not take my bag when I placed my bag in the area that read "leave your checked bags here". They told me to get in line to drop off my bag. The woman at the counter, just needed saying, "Okay, you've checked in your bags. I'll take that." That's was ridiculous to stand in line only to have the woman take my bags. 5th: one of the ticketing women refused to help the customers trying to check-in and redirected them to use the self service kiosk. 6th: SEATS: the new seat were very uncomfortable, they were rock hard and even the main cabin (preferred seats: cost $53 extra) area had no leg room. The economy seats had about 4inches of room between the end of their seat and the back of the chair in front of them. Recline feature has been restricted to a minimum."

The plane we were supposed to be on was having mechanical issues and rather than waiting until we were boarded and sitting on the plane until the issues were resolved (which coincidentally happened on my earlier flight for 1.5 hrs) the stopped boarding, which made a bad situation a little less crummy."

On the flight home, I realized that they have bigger seats, your bags ( 1 personal, 1 carry-on, and 2 checked bags) are "free" and they give you a little snack to hold you for maybe and hour. Overall I prefer Southwest because of all the benefits you get while flying with them but it doesn't mean I will never fly United again."

My water bottle would not even fit on the tray nor did my Ipad. Both of which had to rest on my lap. The only thing that fit on the tray was the little plastic cup of purchased soda. The carry on charge still chaps me. I believe they would attempt to charge you for oxygen masks if they could. Frontier has simply become too bare bones for me. I can't tell you how sorry I am to say -- That will more than likely be my last trip on Frontier."

Then take a 2 hour trip back to the airport the next day to pick up my luggage, which Frontier wouldn't deliver to me because I "voluntarily separated" from them. I suppose that's technically true, but I think there's an argument there that Frontier's complete lack of competency forced to me do it."

Airfare was very reasonably inexpensive for a round-trip ticket from Atlanta to New Orleans (under $100), customer service and flight crew were friendly, and both departing and returning flights were on-time. I will definitely use them again. I didn't partake of in-flight meal, beverages or snacks due to short flight time and I brought my own with me which was a cheaper option. One checked bag did cost an additional $60 round-trip but considering the cost of airfare I didn't mind."
