First my flight from Oakland was delayed an hour, and while they did rebook me a flight (with a 3-hour layover in Seattle), they couldn't keep me in a first-class seat and didn't offer anything to compensate for that. This was my first time (and probably last time) treating myself to a first-class flight, and I was kind of looking forward to that seat...although I understand if flights are full.. When I arrived (an hour late) in Seattle, the gate was shown as N2, about ten thousand miles away from my debarking gate in the C section. After walking halfway there, I stopped at an Alaska desk to AGAIN verify info and ask if someone could PLEASE CHECK and see if I could keep my first-class seating, since I PAID for one originally and the delay was airline-based. They blandly told me the flights were full and everyone had checked in already, and then mentioned that the gate had been changed BACK to C section, so hike back another 5000 miles to where I started. Wait three hours. I did check in at the gate as well, yet again, to beg with my best smiley-face and see if the girls could find me a first class spot or put me on standby, since I PAID for it. They said, sadly, no it's all full and checked in. Wait and wait. When I finally did board, I noticed that the info board said that "two upgrade requests" had been filled. What? Seriously? Is that MY FIRST CLASS SEAT YOU JUST GAVE SOMEONE? *frowns slightly* Walked through the already-seated first-class cabin, noticing that TWO OF THEM are empty. I was seated in the middle between a regular dude and this woman who is apparently running her company and having a conference call loudly on her phone, right in my ear. So yes, we understand: She's important. After sitting for a few minutes, I finally buzzed an attendant, who finally arrived, and asked her AGAIN, if she could please check if there any first class seats open, because that is what I PAID FOR and I'd appreciate finishing my trip as it was origanally booked. She said she'd check. AND THEN DISAPPEARED FOREVER. Never did see her again. A few minutes later, yet another attendant walked down the aisle with a clipboard, checking for open seats and I'm thinking she's coming to tell me that yes, there's been an opening and one of those 2 empty seats is mine and please go ahead and move. But no. She walks on by and says something about adding more standby people to some empty seats. I'm literally biting my tongue. Then, before I can say anything, these TWO GUYS come flailing down the gangway and bail into the two lovely EMPTY first-class seats in front of me. *scowl* I'm sorry, but unless they were late getting to the plane, and those were actually their seats (could be true), this whole thing was handled very strangely. I never fly first class anyway, and I understand delays and full flights, but it would have been nice to have anyone even attempt to help me finish my trip in the class that I had PAID FOR."

Pros: "Alaska has a bit more leg room I feel than most carriers. Even the very back seats there's enough room to spread your legs and catch some rest. I live in Anchorage and travel to Tennessee often so I'm used to multiple 4-5hr flights. If you're not sleeping during them, Alaska has very nice tablets you can pay to use and catch up on a movie or two or tv shows. I really enjoy having this and makes those long flights zip by if I don't feel like sleeping. The staff has always been very approachable too specifically between meals or drink carts. I've never had a problem getting food or a drink at a random time."

Cons: "Far and away the most uncomfortable and worst value-for-money international flight I've experienced. This plane is so old it should be put in a museum. The warm food was terrible and the non-hot food was completely frozen so even if I wanted to eat it, this wouldn't be possible. Individual seat in-flight entertainment screens have been the norm for many years, yet this plane had the community-style in-flight entertainment. Half of the time, the screens weren't working, which just made matters worse. The total lack of legroom and chair ergonomics made getting comfortable nearly impossible. I was literally in pain sitting in these seats. I live in Prague and visit family in the US often. This was my first experience with American Airlines' newer direct flight option from Prague to Philadelphia; based on the extreme discomfort of the inflight features and to top it off it was the highest price I've paid for a flight back home...(total lack of value for the money! )I would go out of my way to make sure I never take this route again."

If I can help it, I will never fly with American Airlines again; they have lost my business!"

Pros: "I like that I was added to the upgrade list. I used to loathe flying with United because the staff and crew were simply terrible. They were rude, unhelpful and could care less about what you needed. However, since that unfortunate incident of dragging that poor man off the plane a while back, you all have been trying very hard to get your butts in gear and do better and I see it. Keep improving the training is employees and I’ll be proud to fly with you all again."
Cons: "However the list is so long and not realistic that anyone will ever actually get upgraded. Im usually number 40 or higher and there are often maybe 4-6 actual upgrade seats. Guess it’s just a way to let everyone one where they stand so I gets it snktball awful."

Cons: "I have a bag that I have travelled with as a very on for years and I know that it fits in the overhead compartments of this size plane, but on both outbound and inbound I was made to gate check. Upon boarding there was plenty of room in the bins. The waiting at the end of each flight made the gateway crowded and replanting inefficient. Either have all bags checked upon check in with stricter guidelines or put overhead items into a lottery system."

Cons: "Yeah, it was a bit frustrating trying to rush and hustle from gate to gate with how many times they changed the location!!"
Cons: "The flight got delayed and we were told it was "basically cancelled" so we got on a different flight out for the morning but were told we couldn't get a hotel voucher because we volunteered to get off the flight. Very disappointed, will never fly united again. The flight ended up getting cancelled 5 minutes after we "volunteered" to get a different flight too. Luckily we were able to get onto a different airline who helped us out. United dropped the ball big time."
Pros: "Delays seem to be frequent with united and the staff is always in a bad mood. Will not fly again with them, I flew one leg on a different airline so I wouldn't miss my international connection as they wanted to delay 6 hours!!!"
Pros: "Everything was perfect - the pretzel packs looked like they were from 2007 and stale but I don't care about that. The pilots landing there and back were like we landed on clouds - not a single bump or jolt. The flights left on time and arrived early. The staff at gate and plane were so helpful and happy and knew how to do their jobs and not opposed to doing it with a smile. I have flown over the world and these two flights on united were the best."

They wouldn't let me use overhead cabin for row one or 2 and said it was for row one passengers as they have no under seat storage. No reason to pay for a seat upgrade I now know. Never again on this airline."
Pros: "The man in the seat next to me decided he didn't want to sit by me, so I had more room to spread out."
Cons: "At the gate, after our flight had been delayed almost two hours, their was only one employee working. This extended our boarding time considerably. One of Frontier's main selling points is that they spend less time on the ground, allowing for them to charge less for airfare. Just not my best experience flying."
Cons: "They lost my baggage and I had to show up on set without any of my stands, tripods or steadicam which made for a terrible start to a busy week of filming."
Pros: "Flight was less than $200. There's not much to say here. Flight happened on time, crew did their thing. My knees nearly hit the seat in front of me, but didn't. It was a normal flight in coach on almost any airline. Nothing of note. The only reason it's not 5 stars is because it's not Emirates. That's the gold standard of flying coach. Frontier is a budget airline and I chose them because the flight time and the price both sang to me."

Cons: "This was my first trip on Frontier. I am not a nervous flyer at all, but except for the first take off, all the take offs and landings for my round-trip flight had an unusual and uncomfortable amount of lurching, bouncing, and shaking, despite the fact that there was good weather. I don't know if it was the pilots or the aircraft, but, for this reason, I doubt I will be flying Frontier again. Other minimal issues: (1) I know it's a no-frills airline, but I think the lack of any unpaid beverage service, even water, is ridiculous; (2) TSA pre-check shows on the boarding pass, but is not valid."

They do not provide even free water in-flight; everything, including even water, is for purchase. Water should really be free. The initial prices are therefore misleading since they tack on many additional fees that are not standard in the airline industry."
Pros: "No frills flight. The pilot was great in informing us about the storms and how he would avoid them. He did a good job. The boarding was great and the plane was clean."
Cons: "Seats are not the best in comfort terms. you have to pay even for a soft drink!. No water, no peanuts! How stingy. Also, I am totally confused about carry-on and check-in luggages. I saw whole lot of carry-on luggage which was much bigger than what the website said you'd allow. Were they all paid for? or just allowed without paying? Luggage policy should be changed because it is very difficult and misleading."

Cons: "I had to come into work the morning of my flight, so I was running late to the Nashville Airport. When I tried to print out my ticket from a Frontier kiosk, nothing happened. The attendant present was not working for Frontier and told me I could make my flight if I hurried, then she walked away. Too bad I didn't have my ticket and no one from Frontier was there to assist. Despondent and apathetic from the hellish events from this week, I resigned to paying $450 to book a one way flight on United from Nashville to Denver the same day. If I had booked a United or AA flight from the beginning, they would have assisted me in getting to my flight on time. Their planes have more legroom anyway. I hope my luck is better on the return flight, or I will be out a few more hundred dollars because Frontier doesn't have the resources to have a full-time staff (ostensibly). If you're not a gambler when it comes to whether or not you'll make your destination on time, or at all, then don't use Frontier. I'm not about that life."

They refunded everyone (apparently, I still haven't gotten my money) and offered discounts on nearby hotels but were not able to rebook anyone until 5 days later, so most if not all of us wound up driving or booking sooner flights on different airlines (for much more money than we had booked this flight)."

I will not go into details of my experience in while on the plane the person beside me was complaining about frontier. I got on the shuttle to go home and another couple wS pissed off over Frkntier and the person across from us chimed ion they would never fly again within Frontier. It was just bad from use of their website to the checkin process and the flight."

Cons: "Flight delayed hours from beginning; no explanation or accurate info on website. Second leg delayed 3 hrs on ground; no pilot!?"
Cons: "All of it. They cancelled my flight. Then I rented a car and started a 13 hour drive. 2 hours in I get an email saying the flight it back on and departing in 30 minutes. Call Frontier to get refund in flight and car rental. They only refund the flight. But now I'm still driving 10 hours. This is bull shot and I should be refunded my car rental. Unacceptable."
Cons: "This was the oldest plane I had been on in quite a while. The tray tables where half the size of the regular ones and metal. There was hardly any legroom. There was absolutely no entertainment options. No Wi-Fi on the plane. And you had to pay for any snacks and drinks. Although I did get a great amount for the cost, I would have paid a little extra to fly a different airline in order to have Wi-Fi and entertainment options."

Cons: "There is no warning from Frontier that customers will be charged for both checked and carry-on bags. Along with being charged extra depending on what seat the customer chooses (up to $30 additional charge). It's a good thing I went online 24 hours before my flight or I would have been very upset to get to the gate and have had to pay $60 for my bag. There seems to be an up charge for everything after the ticket is paid for, including food and drink. The seats in the airplane felt like glorified plastic lawn chairs."

Cons: "On a Friday night the flight was over 4 hours late. There was nobody at the gate the entire time and no notifications on the board we had to find it by calling customer service or notifications on our phone that were confusing. No apologies or explanations were ever offered. No refunds and to add insult to injury when we finally got on the flight they still insisted on charging for a soda. The seats are barely better than sitting on a bus, hard plastic with minimal cushion they are narrow but the leg room is adequate. They took away an entire day literally noon to 9 pm from everyone just wanting to get home or a get away weekend in Chicago and offered nothing, in 2 hours they could have sent another plane from the hub in Denver but felt it was better to ignore probably 150 customers for 6 hours. they could have rescheduled the flight for a later time allowing people to leave the airport and come back or given people food vouchers none of which they did. They could've done a lot of things but chose to be a low-cost airline which they must have felt somehow validated poor customer service."

Cons: "This is as much against kayak as Frontier. If you display a price that includes all fees and taxes then that's what you expect a particular airfare will cost. When shopping on Kayak most people are looking for the best deal. If upon the day I fly I effectively have to pay the equivalent of the original fare AGAIN just to carry on my bag then I feel deceived. If I had known the actual cost to fly Frontier the day I selected this fare I would never have chosen Frontier. And I never will again. The ticket counter employees are obviously tired of hearing such complaints as well. They are a surly bunch."

Cons: "Frontier doesn't participate in TSA PreCheck (at least not out of Nashville). Only at check-in did I find out I had to pay an additional $30 for my carry-on AND once on the plane I discovered I had to pay for water, soda ($1.99!) or coffee seemed like a bait & switch of sorts."
Cons: "You now pay for carry-ins with Frontier and we weren't told when we checked in. We ended up paying more at the gate and then also paying (for what we were later told was free) for our baby carrier backpack."

That happened twice. I went to the airport if I choose to rebook, the next available date was five days after my original departure. I would never again attempt to fly with frontier"
