The gentleman working the register was very pleasant and was a welcome personality so early in the day. As a service member, I would like to thank him for his service. He was consistent in asking patrons whether they’d like to purchase a travel kit for the troops. A few patrons were abrupt and responded rudely but he maintained a level head and pressed on. Great attitude and professionalism. Thank you very much for your support! Also, I was able to get my Military discount applied towards my purchase which enabled me to purchase 1 travel kits for my fellow service members. A little goes a long way and when returning from deployments or coming home for R&R, it tends to be hectic and I, myself have often forgotten toiletries which I was able to get from the USO. The USO staff were also friendly and did an amazing job handling all of the personnel that funneled in, exhausted. Great attitudes and clean facilities. Ridiculous to say the least, I had to pay for their mistake"

I will walk to my destination before ever flying with frontier again."

Cons: "When they have published on their website that a personal item sized 14 x 18 x 8 inches and fits under the seat in front of you flies free don’t believe them. I measured my bag and the dimensions published on their website were the EXACT measurements of my bag with all wheels and handles included they still charged me $45 to carry on the plane. The bag even fit into the luggage measuring thing they had at the gate. The only thing sticking out of it were my wheels by 1/2 of an inch. When I measured at home they were even within the measurements posted on their website so I think the luggage measuring tool they use was off. Even it it weren’t, this is a completely discretionary issue that is COMPLETELY up to the agent you deal with. I am an elite traveler with many different travel brands and I’ve had a bag weigh 53 pounds and the agent has let it slide and I’ve had others that were very “by the book” which is fine. A policy is a policy and I respect that completely but this was downright wrong because I know without a doubt that my measurements were correct and even the weight of less than 35 pounds was correct. They also didn’t let me see if it would fit underneath the seat in front of me before charging me. Had they offered that and then if it didn’t made me pay I would have been ok with that but none of this was allowed. My suggestion is not to get caught in their dirt cheap airfare because they will find a way to screw you in the end. They lost a customer for life over $45 dollars. I went all the way to customer service management over the phone and all they did was credit me $15 for the issue which wasn’t fair in my opinion because of all the hoops I had to jump through to get that done was exhausting. Think before you click “BOOK NOW”! The airline overall was less than mediocre as well. Definitely nothing worth flying again even if I hadn’t had the issue I had. I’d pay more for more next time."

The best they could do was a full refund or a flight the next day (this happened to everyone on our flight). I opted for the full refund ($246) since I needed to be at my destination that day. However, that didn't help much since I bought the ticket months in advance to save money, and subsequently had to buy a ticket with another airline ($700). This was the first and last time I will choose to fly with frontier."

The flight attendants were nowhere to be found (they stayed out of sight in their seats.) The Captain did announce the reason for the delay (repair work being done to the plane in the gate we were assigned) as well as the anticipated amount of time it would take. Flight attendants on OTHER AIRLINES have a much better attitude and engage with the passengers when this type of thing happens. When I had dinner in an airport restaurant and mentioned the situation (with the airline remaining anonymous), the waiter immediately knew which airline I was talking about and said they are known for providing lousy customer service."

Also we landed something like 20 minutes early but sat waiting on a gate - nearly an hour, until we were late. There were some people missing their connections. The cabin airflow was not running while we were sitting waiting on a gate all that time. I was gasping for air by that point. Then we were asked to remain seated while those missing connections could de-plane. I understand and empathize but I was desperate to get off that plane -'it was stifling! No food or even a glass of tap water unless you wanted to whip out your credit card. Lots of hidden fees, not really that cheap after you pay for a seat assignment, a carry on bag, a checked bag.... Boarding was chaos, they did not adhere to the zones in the Memphis boarding. No food, no entertainment - nothing to rank there."

Structuring the fees that way (not seeing them up front, being on smaller items, etc.) just doesn't make me a loyal customer. As of right now, I'll only fly Frontier again if the prices are WAY lower, because in my mind I remember the fees...even over the amazingly wonderful flight attendants!"

Cons: "They cancelled our flight and left us stranded in St Thomas! After waiting 4 hours in line at the airport they told us they would refund the money for the return trip only. No hotel, no food and no flight home. I will NEVER fly Spirit again! I can not believe they would treat people the way they did us!!"

Cons: "After 7-8 hours of delay after delay they boarded everyone onto the plane, let us sit there for 5-10 minutes and then asked us get off the plane. They then proceeded to tell us due to weather our flight would be cancelled. I stood in line for 2 hours for them to tell me the next flight our was not for another 5 days. They also did not place me in a hotel, thankfully I had a friend that lived close to the airport and I was able to crash there. I asked for my money back and rebooked my trip with Deta airlines. I guess I learned my lesson the hard way."

Cons: "Other than the usual Spirit surprise up charges for basic services included in other airlines (which should be factored into the Kayak search engines more clearly from the start), the seats did not recline and minimal leg room made for a very uncomfortable flight from FL to CA. The topping on the cake was a cancelled flight getting home Ft. Lauderdale to St. Thomas. The 1250pm flight was delayed to 6pm due to weather even though several other flights were flying that same route at that time. Then the 6pm flight was cancelled due to weather. It was the lack of professionalism, accommodations and communications that followed that were horrendous. They would not address the group directly so we had to find out from the people at the front of the line trying to rebook that there were no seats available until Saturday and Sunday. It was Weds. They were not going to accommodate us in any way with the exception of refunding us for that leg. In my case that would have been a little over $100. Flights on other airlines were over $700. Families who could not afford that cancelled their vacations to St. Thomas. People, like myself, that were simply trying to get home got booked on Sunday flights. They put us on stand by but were unwilling to give us seats that were available. Finally, on Friday with making enough fuss and talking to the right people they reluctantly gave us seats. It appeared that because we had seats on Sunday that we were in no way a priority. Very disappointed, mostly for everyone who was trying to visit my island and said they will never come here. Thanks Spirits."

Cons: "I did not like the fact that my original flight from St Thomas to Ft Lauderdale was cancelled. Which essentially changed all of my travel plans. I do however understand that Spirit is a sub par airline. Therefore, I will no longer book any flights through them."
Cons: "This flight was cancelled, Spirit was unable/unwilling to book me on a flight on a different airline and I had to pay $344 out of pocket for a Jet Blue flight the next day. This was on Thursday, Spirit offered to get me to my destination on SUNDAY! They also did not pay for my hotel room so I had to pay for that out of pocket as well. Will never fly Spirit again. Spend the extra money and go with someone else - you'll probably end up having to spend it anyway!"

Pros: "I was especially thankful for the assistance with the wheelchair at both terminals. Knowing that I may travel more often."
Pros: "Not unlike any other flight on major airlines in the US. In fact, I had a better experience on this airline than on AA and US Airways. Compareable to the budget airline Easy Jet in Europe and Jetstar in New Zealand. On time and efficient."
Cons: "Seats were a little close, so if you have long legs get the big front seat. Carry on is limited to ONE bag with non-standard sizing of 16x14x12, (changing 4/17 to 18x14x8). For girls this includes purses. Don't forget to bring your food or snacks with you. If not you can buy it onboard. No cash, just cards."

I figured I would give it another shot because they are extremely inexpensive. NEVER EVER EVER EVER again! I would rather pay 3x more to fly with any other airline. They were so disorganized. They overbooked the flight, they ran late. The fees are ridiculous. It's not worth it even if it is cheaper"

Cons: "I didn't like the seating. I was in a middle seat with no armrest. I didn't like how the third party put the purchaser down for the flight instead of the actual person flying. However, Spirit fixed that with no problem. I didn't like not being able to take my very small luggage on the plane."
