Pros: "Hey, domestic U.S. flights aren't all bad! I was pleasantly surprised by the kind service and amenities on this Delta flight. There's a plethora of free movies to watch, and the crew continually checked on us to make sure we were hydrated. I think Delta may become my new prefered carrier for domestic flights."

I’m never flying spirit again!! This was a horrible experience and it sucked because it was 5 other people going through what we experienced"

Also, they nickel and dime you for everything, the flights appear cheap in searches, but then you have to pay to carry on a bag, you have to pay for your individual seat, if you want any snacks or water on the plane you have to pay for that."

When people ask the customer reps what they could do all they said was that the flights were non refundable and we had to wait in line to find out our options. This pissed off a lot of people one lady punched someone and was arrested. The crowed was justifiably getting very hostel. I have never seen anything like this ever, please do not fly this airline it's not worth the savings which aren't that much when you consider you h e to pay 55 dollars for a carry on."

Cons: "After a 3 hour delay, the flight was cancelled due to mechanical problems. The gate attendants announced that they were going to hand out cards with contact information to get re-scheduled on another airline. Spirit did not have another flight available to Baltimore until Tuesday (this happened on a Sunday). The agents on the phone number we were told to call, could not book us on another airline and told us to talk to the the gate attendant. The gate attendants told us to talk to the agents on the phone and around in circles we went. Finally the gate attendants started booking us on other airlines. That took an hour. We had to stay an extra night and we got out the next day on American. Spirit did comp the hotel room and the flight but I forgot to ask for compensation for the bag check on American. A word to the wise. The next day we received 2 $50 vouchers from Spirit for a future flight. Not sure I'll be using them."

Food prices were a rip off."

Then there was a flight delay of a minimum 2 hours due to a bad windshield? Great keep us safe, but good luck with finding someone at the gate or a service counter to give you an explanation of why it's delayed. Instead just wander aimlessly around the terminal looking for a Spirit employee. I then went to the Spirit website and it shows the flight as "on time", really?? At least give me an app or website that's accurate so I don't have to sit in front of the gate for 2 hours. When booking through Kayak there is no mention of pre-purchasing checked baggage so I was stuck with a $50 fee at the ticket counter! This is definitely not the "low price" airline unless you truly "travel naked". Save yourself some grief and ignore Spirit as a flight option."

And the amount of leg room provided is just absolutely ridiculous for anything longer than an hour flight! I'm certain the CEO of the company that runs Spirit Airlinesflies first class on another airline and never flies crappy old Spirit!"

But since this was my first flight with spirit, I wanted to make sure. After many threatening announcements of a $100 charge if your ONE allowable item is too big, I went to counter to see if my backpack was of appropriate size, When I approached the podium to verify I was ok, the two gate agents were talking so I stood and waited to be helped. After several minutes, one finally looked over, with a very annoyed expression and asked, " Do you need something?" (Actual quote) I asked my question, which was answered with equal distain and then I was dismissed and the agent returned to her conversation. Throughout the entire trip, it felt as if the ground crew were there to herd you on and off the aircraft... That's it... They were completely unapproachable. My recommendation? Spend the few dollars more and go with another carrier... If you do choose to fly Spirit, set your expectations very low and then you'll only be slightly disappointed."
Pros: "Consistent notifications on your itinerary, and there seem to know knowledge of my trip guided me smoothly to And from destinations. I was reminded and updated on flight time and whether or not it was on time. Like as if the pilots themselves were in direct contact with me."
