She was much more upset about it than we were and it made me uncomfortable refusing the food that I knew I couldn't eat. Other passengers even asked us if we had eaten anything. It was almost embarrassing."

It is super confusing where you need to go, drop bags, etc. the weird part is Check in was in terminal 3 and gate at terminal 2. That is a long walk back and forth. There is probably a more efficient way of doing this. Besides that, they need to do a better job communicating that seats are changing and not Reggy before boarding. Though I can understand it can get crazy because people will panic but it’s not great heading up to enter in not knowing if you are sitting in window when you picked it for a reason. Otherwise, everything went smoothly."

Cons: "where should i start? my flight was delayed leaving NC to ATL. after standing in line for over an hr trying to speak to someone about the issue. i was notified on my phone i could keep my current flight or rebook of course i wanted to keep my current flight since it was my birthday weekend. i then called delta (in nc) for help since they told us we wouldnt make our 1030 flight and we might have to stay in a hotel that night until we could rebook the flight. not cool! i was told by a person (in nc)about what i should do once landed in ATL. they were beyond rude. they turned their backs or gave half answers. when asked about the hotel for the night they told me they werent going to handle that and i had to pay for a hotel AFTER i was just told by a delta agent that if i had to stay overnight my hotel was going to be covered. i then again called a delta agent in ATL after being informed that my status on the stand by list wasnt activated and i had less than 10 mins to make it to the next terminal and try to get activated and i would probably not get onto that flight to leave ATL. we were told that we had to stay in the terminal that night. my whole trip could have been ruined from the start from the flight being delayed in NC to talking to rude delta agents in NC and ATL. my flight status being one thing and then finding out it was something else. i never had to deal with something like this."

I checked in my one bag and found out I had pre-checked so my security check went so smooth at the new terminal 2 at LAX. Looking forward to my flight back on June 15."

This is embarrassing at the gate especially since it looks like we are cutting the line. What good is this "privilege" if you have to assert it every time or hold a credit card in hand with your carryon and boarding pass. This should be included in our ticketing at the time of purchase and upgraded on our boarding pass if we use the damn card for the purchase. It is now not a "privilege" but an inconvenience."

I also did not appreciate the 4hr layover flight-change that was made for me. And don't even get me started on the rest of the reasons why Spirit Airlines sucks!"

No attempts to get anyone home the same day or additional refund for the difficult spot we were all left in because of their equipment failure."

I don't wan't to blanket criticize all of them because I didn't come into contact with everyone of them as much as others, but I was put off by the flight attendants attitudes. They don't help as much as on other airlines and don't pass out food to everyone like on other airlines, so when I do order and pay for it, I expect a pleasant reaction, not to made feel like a burden."

Cons: "I was not pleased to find that the weight for a bag was 40 lbs and was charged $25 on top of the $40 bag fee for an overweight bag. This must have been in the fine print for I did not see it and packed my bag to be less than 50 lbs. The seats have no leg room and I found them to be restrictive for my 5'2" frame. They do not recline due to the space "saving" efforts of the airline. If you are looking for "cheap" remember to add on all the fees charged for bags, select seats, beverages before comparing to other airlines."

Finally one lady came and had to help two flights worth of people rebook. Was in line for almost an hour. When I returned the next day they made me repay for all my overweight checked bags."

The customer service department for Spirit is absolutely horrible and very unaccomodating and completely rude."

Their website and kiosks never work, which leads me to believe they want you to pay for everything "extra" at the highest cost when trying to make your flight. Seats do not recline which is super uncomfortable. Overall, Spirit is not worth the headache even for the initial cheap flight purchase."

We found out just a couple of hours before departure and sprit did nothing to accommodate us with alternatives although there were several flights flying this route. No explanation was given for the cancellation apart from 'weather' which for all practical purposes could have been the weather on the planet Mars. other airlines were flying flights on this route just fine. Feel so cheated that an airline can throw your flight away at the last minute, for no apparent reason beyond their own convenience and greedy network planning, not rebook you into reasonable alternatives, and get away with it. It's not about the flight money. There were 8 of us meeting in LAS from different cities, those friends had to cacel their perfectly good tickets. And then the cost of hotels, show fickets, reservations made, not to mention the effort and anguish to recover from loosing all this at the last minute. Folks, ITS NOT WORTH IT!! It's not even that cheap once you add expensive bag and seat fees. STAY AWAY FROM SPIRIT. I guaruntee you, you will get burned. Remember what they say about when it looks too good to be true, it likely is. Spirit is a lie as a concept. They are only out to get your money and will never have your back. One more anecdote: the customer service rep tried to sell us a credit card after our 1 hour long call to try and process ticket cancelations. A CREDIT CARD WITH SPIRT AFTER THEY RUINED OUR TRIP! That's how insensitive and out for your money they are. Also, we tried to cancel online with the link they provided on their CRAPPY website and they would only allow travel vouchers as refund. Why would I want worthless spirt vouchers after a flight cancellation when I never want to fly you again?"

Cons: "It's sad you only want my review from my return flight. If I had a choice not to fly back on Spirit I wouldn't have. The first flight seats were horrible. The passenger in front of me reclined and the seats rested on my knees and hurt the entire flight. Paying for carry on was absolutely ridiculous. Having to pay for a glass or cup of water, not bottle, was beyond horrific. Flight attendants were not friendly. This experience is so far the worst flight experience I've ever had. It was my first on Spirit and I pray I don't have to give you my money ever again."
Cons: "Horrible experience. Flight was delayed and then was left waited on the plane for an 1 hour to find out our plane was canceled. Employees could not assure that we would get a flight the next day. Had to cancel/refund our flight. They did not even offer to pay for our hotel that I had already paid for in new orleans, horrible customer service!"

Cons: "My outbound flight was delayed 4 times. I got to my destination at 2 a.m. to begin my 2 1/2 hour drive for an early morning meeting. I was not allowed to board my inbound flight despite being their 1 hour early and already being checked in. I couldn't print my boarding pass online nor at the airport kiosk due to Spirit Airline issues. When I got in line to see a ticketing agent I had 45 minutes to get to my flight. When I finally was able to speak to an agent she refused to print me a boarding pass. In spite of still having 35 minutes to get to my gate and having already checked in and purchased a seat. After trying for a week to contact someone at Spirit with no response I've reached out to the department of transportation to file a complaint."

Cons: "On our way back from Houston to L they charged me $25. They can't let me slide the first time and then pay the second. I would have thrown things away in Houston! Never using spirit again."
