My seat had zero leg room. I thought I was flying Japan Airlines, a company I picked based solely on the legroom... When I got to the airport on my first flight, they informed me that I was in fact flying J.A.L VIA American Airlines... What a bait and switch. I will never fly AA on an international flight ever again.
put me in front row, screen was tiny, movie slection wasnt very good will be flying back on another airlines
Excellent flight. Check in experience was a breeze. Smooth and on time flight. Friendly and attentive attendants. Premium economy seating was very spacious. The lounges in both SEATAC and Narita were first rate. The only negative was the inflight food and entertainment options, which were limited, and Wi-Fi was not working. We would definitely fly JAL again.
Not good. The flight from LAX to Tokyo was delayed 15 hours.
My luggage is missing and waiting to hear back about it. 3 of my 6 checked bags didn’t make it to DFW.
Boarding, crew, and seating were great. The food needs to improve.
JAL is an exceptional airline that shows the true heart of Japanese omotenashi service. If the option is available I’ll always chose it
I avoid American Airlines for a reason. Our flight was delayed at LAX. The situation at the gate was chaotic. The woman making announcements wasn't being clear or transparent regarding why there were delays. There was a lot of confusion regarding flight and gate status. Other passengers were pretty rude. I was elbowed in the eye by someone who was in a hurry to get their bags from the overhead bin immediately after the flight landed. Ultimately, I will avoid AA as much as possible in the future.
I love Japan Airlines! I go out of my way to book with them. It is regrettable that the One World Alliance includes American Airlines though. The last leg of my flight from LAX to Austin was easily the worst, most disorganized part of the trip. Next time I will plan to fly directly from DFW to Haneda to avoid American Airlines as much as possible.
Issue 1: We had a 2 hour delay to repair a windshield wiper, during which we sat on board on the runway. Issue 2: it was VERY HOT in the cabin for most of the flight, we were sweating. We asked to make it cooler. They didn’t succeed in doing so. Other than that, it was great. Fantastic food, and extremely pleasant, accommodating flight crew.
Great flight. Only complaint is it took over an hour for my luggage to get to the carousel on the return to LAX That was irritating
I knew I was going to fall asleep unsettlingly from exhaustion so I warned the guy next to me in advance. The attendant took to checking on me frequently and even insisted I take my snack because I said no while sleep hazed and then absolutely wanted it about 5 minutes later. He was So caring and kind to my situation!!
The flight was very smooth and good. Boarding was fast, but the staff was just decently friendly.

No food to provide, they forgot that, in some cases, people stay at the airport for hours without food. Now, to provide them with food, they have to ask them to pay, because some don't have money. That way, they can't eat.
Flight was cancelled last minute. Had to scramble and purchase a $2000 flight through a separate airlines. Stuck in Toronto two extra days. Missed my first two days on a new job. Had to rent a car for an additional two days. Scrambled to fins a place to live those extra two days. Spent a ton of extra money and lost a lot of money, as well as made a poor impression at work. Terrible, return flight was cancelled a night before the flight was scheduled to depart and I was notified by an email and an automated message on their phone line. I’ll never book Air Canada again
I paid for comfort plus seats but did not get the extra leg room. When I told the stewardess, she just ignored me.
Good flight, friendly crew and overall - good service on United Airlines.
Somebody either kayak or Air Canada booked my flight under my preferred name Betty instead of my legal name and I almost was denied boarding my flight
