Cons: "Flight was rescheduled for 4 times ... Every time standing in a line for the new boarding pass"
Pros: "Very happy with my trip"
Cons: "My lineup in USA entry line was ridiculous and I missed my boarding time because it was as hard to get the air Canada attendants attention so I ended up waiting 40 minutes anxious about missing my plane. Their kiosks weren’t working proper hence the longer line."
Pros: "Many airlines have code share flights but it is better to buy ticket directly from the original airline as they keep on ignoring the code share flight bookings"
Cons: "Till last moment we were kept hanging if we will board or not as no seat number was allocated. I believe it was as we were from the code share airline not the real one"
Pros: "Nothing"
Cons: "7:05am Flight got cancelled and they saw fit to rebook us on a 20:30pm flight.. decided to reroute us to anotjer city in canada and down to a different airport in DC Lost my luggage from time i checked it it at 0500am yo time dflight was cancelled and rebooked at 0700. And to fike claim and travrl without jt. Worst experience ever."
Pros: "On time Nice crew Smooth flight"
Cons: "Air Canada is always late in my experience. I always end up waiting at the gate for the inbound flight which happens to be late. It is so annoyingly dishonest, considering that the flight is announced as on-time up until minutes before the departure time. When all along they know the incoming flight is late. After we boarded the plane at origin, we spent 15 minutes at the gate and quite a bit on the runway. When nearing the DCA, the plane took a complete detour went near Baltimore and then Annapolis and then flew back to near Gaithersburg as if it was intentionally wasting time on the air. Upon landing in DCA we had to wait 15 minutes on the taxiway waiting for the gate to clear. The (one hour long) flight that was scheduled to land at 10:20pm landed just before midnight. Air Canada is awful. This happens every time I fly with Air Canada and their conduct is just cheap and dishonest."
Pros: "The food and the crew"
Cons: "Nothing"
Pros: "Nice staff on board and in the airport. Left on time."
Cons: "Small plane not alot of storage space. Can carry small bags on board."
Pros: "put us up in decent hotels gave food vouchers the crew didn't do anything to make it horrible Large selection of movies/tv on board comfiest seats out of all the major airlines I've flown"
Cons: "The flight kept getting delayed bc of mechanical problems, and then eventually cancelled. They rebooked everyone on new flights, but it took an extra stop in Toronto before getting us to Montreal. Once it was rebooked for the morning, it took off a little late. Plus the pretzels they gave us were stale. This was the first of two flights I took this trip that had mechanical issues, so they obviously need to fix their planes better or get new ones, because two Air Canada flights in one day that have mechanical problems leaves me worried that the planes aren't in optimal condition. It took me over 24 hours to get from Tucson, AZ to Montreal, Canada when normal travel takes less than 8 hours including layovers."
Pros: "Nothing"
Cons: "I didn't travel with children, but if I had done they would have needed entertaining. The crew offered iPads (to rent) for the entertainment of children and adults alike. Why can these not just be given to passengers, better still BRING BACK SCREENS IN SEATBACKS!!!"
Pros: "Brand new aircraft"
Cons: "Not gourmet not even fast food. A lot of area for improvement."
Pros: "Empty seat between us"
Cons: "No movies. Had to load app for entertainment. Then WiFi never worked"
Cons: "I did not fly to Montreal and I did not catch flight to Barcelona I am fling again tonight Toronto - Barcelona direct"
Pros: "On time clean"
Pros: "Food ..the air hostess had a fake smile"
Cons: "The staff is old school and very hard on single travelers who are not white Very rude when I asked some questions ,,.. They seem to think low bout the bout their Indian customers .. They need to be educated some of the Indians can be law abiding and decent people who Can be citiEns of Europe or the US Their thinkng is very racial or prehistoric Only reason I didn't make a scene of it is because I was jet lagged Be careful next time or just don't give me a ticket !!"
Pros: "They afford a civil and enhanced trip on an Express flight. Something AA and other airlines consistently fail to do."
Pros: "Boarding was smooth, considering there were just over two hundred passengers to manage. The crew was excellent: responsive, courteous and proactive. Entertainment: Overall plenty of options though some were dated. Food: surprisingly good, and COMPLIMENTARY. Didn't have to pay extra."
Cons: "Coach is CRAMPED. And on a 14-hour flight, that's important.."
Pros: "In attempt to recover the failure, they gave one complimentary drink."
Cons: "Planes got messed up which caused groups to get separated. Plane went from a two aisle plane to a single aisle. They had some sort of excuse but I am sure it was primarily to save money since the flight was not full. In flight entertainment kept restarting and the head jack hardly worked. Flight was delayed over an hour due to the plane switch. Also, to top it off they had one attendant that was dutied out so we had to wait longer for another flight attendant. This should have already been figured out before. I have flown Air Canada a lot and this was just not like them. Quite disappointed."
Cons: "The post office lost my passport and I was unable to go on this flight. Customer service was unwilling to provide a solution that did not cost thousands of dollars to rebook and see my family for Christmas."
Pros: "the service was excellent"
Pros: "The plane was clean and fairly comfortable."
Cons: "Our flight from Toronto to Washington DC was delayed for no apparent reason. We were not told of this delay until 45 minutes after boarding time was supposed to begin. Good communication would have helped with this issue."
Cons: "There was only one snack option and I couldn't eat it because it contained gluten."
Cons: "Flight was delayed. Announcement was made at the last minute. There wasn't enough space for carry-on luggage, mostly because the flight crew let people hog space leaving less for everybody else."
Pros: "Easy flight to DC."
Cons: "First time at Pearson Airport needed some help finding my way around the airport"
Pros: "Decent everywhere options, leg room, and seat comfort."
Cons: "Delays with no adequate explanation and very few updates. Boarding process was chaos."
Pros: "they had many movies. I enjoyed watching two of them."
Cons: "Food was just okay."
Cons: "I was supposed to be home on a Sunday. That I didn't arrive until the follow Tuesday should tell you something. My adventure included: 2 cancelled flights, one drastically oversold flight, being given a hotel room without a working toilet, hours spent waiting at the airport for information from gate agents who never showed up, and being curtly told that, as a passenger who didn't arrive on a connecting flight, on my second night I would not be given a hotel room, but instead a mat to sleep on in the airport. I did finally get a hotel room—this time with a working toilet"
Cons: "It was cancelled."
Pros: "Once I actually got on the rebooked flight, everything went great."
Cons: "I get it, weather happens, but airlines should have figured out by now how to make any issues that come from that as painless as possible. Air Canada did not have it together. There was little communication and coordination. People had to wait multiple times in ungodly long lines while agents spent way too much time with each customer. There was misinformation and lack of information given by agents and at times no one to help at all. When there's weather it should be all hands on deck until the effected customers get to where they need to be. Otherwise it's an aggravating and nearly intolerable experience. Commercial airlines have been around for 60+ years - figure it out already."
Pros: "Flight attendant's were friendly amid the circumstances."
Cons: "Our first flight was cancelled 15 minutes before scheduled take-off. upon being bumped to another flight two hours later, that flight was delayed two hours after an issue during take-off. We remained on the plane while mechanic/engineering staff rectified the problem. We booked a flight to save time on driving. We would have arrived earlier had we drove. I understand things happen, but the airline eneds to take responsibility and show some good customer service. Aside from the pilot, no apology given, no reimbursement offered. Disappinting. Air Canada is now a last-resort option for a frequent flyer like myself."
Pros: "The pilots were EXTREMELY polite, informing us through the intercom why everything is delayed. SUPER flight through the rain!!! FANTASTIC PILOTS!"
Cons: "We were Stuck INSIDE the plane for an hour. If there is a delay either offer a refreshments or let us go back inside the air port and get a refreshments. The crew were unprofessional, i travel enough and this crew was the worst I have seen. On top they offered No hot beverages. Upon my request of a simple cup Of coffee the flight attendant said, NO, ask if I wanted a coke. It is great that he is giving me an alternative but he can simply appogize that he has not made any coffee and be sincere about it. TERRIBLE service all together. We all in the plane have appointments that now we are late to, crew showed no concern."
Cons: "Delayed flight from Toronto to washington"
Pros: "Seats were okay, crew was friendly."
Cons: "They served us one of the least appealing snacks I have ever received on an airplane 9which is obviously saying a lot)-it was some gooey hot pocket chicken creation. No provided entertainment (you can use your own or rent ipads)."
Cons: "The flight from Toronto to Washington DC was delayed for more than 3 hours and there was not even a drink offered for the inconvenience."
Pros: "Quick boarding. Great with children."
Cons: "Multiple confusing security processes at airport. Huge lines. Flight delayed twice."
Pros: "The crew and their sincere attitude to be of help. Wonderful team of professionals."
Cons: "One hour delay, which was very tiring for someone who already had gone through the 9 hour flight torture from Athens. The Global Entry for US bound passengers procedure is very confusing. Maybe it would help if the steps were communicated on the US bound passengers before disembarking. First the passport process (easy) then there is this confusing process where we need to see our names in green on the screen, with some staff telling us to move on while others insist that we need to stay back and wait for our names to go green on screens that keep changing. Good idea and intentions to help clear bags, and can be improved. Overall the Montreal to DC flight (with the exception of the awful Montreal airport and the long delay) was excellent."
Pros: "Billy Bishop airport is awesome!"
Cons: "Flight was delayed and crew didn't accommodate a rebooking despite availability .. Although original flight did board soon after."
Pros: "I arrived early and was able to change my flight to an earlier one."
Cons: "The air hostess/stewardess was surly...and looked like she hadn't slept.."
Pros: "Nothing in particular. Just the staff was very welcoming and nice"
Cons: "No complimentary entertainment at all, I was bored the entire flight. Not even an overhead TVs. Little to no room at the seat. I felt very crammed and I was sitting near the window."
Cons: "I arrived at the airport and attempted to check in at 11:17, 58 minutes before my flight was schedule to depart, having just rushed to the airport from my father's bedside in the hospital. I purchased a ticket on this flight because I absolutely needed to be back in New York City by 2:30 pm today - otherwise, I wouldn't have left. When I attempted to use the kiosk to check in, my booking reference number couldn't be found, despite repeated attempts. When I approached a customer service agent to check in manually, I was simply told that I could not - I was not offered any reason other than that I was "too late" and not offered any alternative. I asked to speak with a supervisor who attempted to clear me for check in seeing as I had no bags to check and have a Global Entry card, but was told by the agent that I spoke with that the flight was over booked and so there were now no longer any seats available. I asked to speak with the supervisor in person, and was told she was on her way, but 15 minutes later she was nowhere to be seen and time was ticking. While the first agent was completely unhelpful, and never offered to rebook me on another flight, another agent helped me by giving me a boarding pass for the next flight and told me she was putting me on standby for the flight I originally purchased the ticket for. I got to the gate in plenty of time to board my original flight, but was told that I wasn't on the standby list and there were simply no seats left on the flight - even though I purchased one which should have been held for me until 10 minutes before departure as is the policy for every other airline as far as I am aware. I am beyond frustrated that due to Air Canada's overbooking the airline used the excuse that I arrived 58 minutes before my flight to give the ticket I purchased away to someone else, with no consideration for me as a customer. The extremely poor customer service I received only added insult to injury. I am completely stumped as to how Air Canada could possibly be the only airline in North America with a 4 star rating when I have consistently experienced overbooking, flight cancellations, and abysmal customer service, including 30 minute wait times to speak to an agent, an inability to check in online for international travel, topped off by poor in flight service, when traveling Air Canada. I have never before complained but am doing so in this case because today's experience truly put me over the top when the airline's blatant disregard for my circumstances and needs as a customer and overbooking practices went beyond causing annoyance and inconvenience. I am therefore requesting a full refund of the ticket I purchased only to be bumped off the flight I paid for."
Pros: "Nothing"
Cons: "first flight cancelled, second flight delayed so impossible to get the connection. Nobody called me about it, I had to go to ask."
Pros: "The sits were comfortable. More space between sits."
Pros: "Terrible, only one spot open, long lines. We missed boarding and were forced to wait 4 hours after already 10 hours travel. No help and no mercy at the custom area."
Cons: "Use all airport customs agent's desks after a large plane arrivals."
Pros: "Love Air Canada"
Pros: "Crew was pleasant and efficient. The entertainment consoles were nice, having games and movies and flight tracking."
Cons: "Not notified about long flight delay until 5 mins before scheduled boarding. Happened once with my flight and twice with my daughter's."
Pros: "Same as first flight."
