Exemptions or waiver to the testing requirements may be granted by the CDC on an extremely limited basis when emergency travel (like an emergency medical evacuation) must occur to preserve someone’s life, health against a serious danger, or physical safety and testing cannot be completed before travel.
US citizens and permanent residents arriving from the UK must present a medical certificate with a negative COVID-19 PCR or antigen test result issued within 72 hours prior to departure.

However, when I got into the plane, the lady that was going to be seating next to me asked me if I could change my seat with her husband; which was a regular seat. In order to avoid an awkward 12 hour flight, I agreed to change my bigger seat for a smaller seat. I felt disappointment that Air New Zealand separates parties and leaves room for uncomfortable situations. I really did not know what to do in this scenario, I paid for that seat but was in a way forced to give it a away without any refund in order to avoid 12 hours seating with some stranger's wife."

Cons: "My returning flights were not correct. I ended up having 2 returning flights back to Halifax which made me have to overnight in Toronto unexpectedly."
Cons: "When landing on final approach close to the ground, the pilot pulled up and passed the airport. It was almost 10 minutes before he got on the intercom and told us what was going on. Apparently traffic control told him there was a backup and to circle around. Not knowing what the situation was, was very nerve racking. It would have been nice to hear an announcement of the situation sooner."
Pros: "It was overall ok , but over all disappointing that west jest became such a budget airline."
Cons: "I’m disappointed that west jet became such a budget airline, it used to be my favourite. Now there’s no monitors, you got to use up your own power from devices. I prefer to save my battery when travelling."

On that trip I did a review and gave the whole trip a 1 out of 5 stars. That trip was the trip from hell, with delays, waiting on the Tarmac, deplaning, almost cancelled, more waiting on the Tarmac, wheels up in Reagan, wheels down in ORD, and then more Tarmac waiting for a gate. So I was already more than perturbed when this trip had similar outcomes."
