The seat was visibly dirty, had not been cleaned. I used my own wipes and they were dark after wiping down the chair and tray table.

Flight left 2 hours late as it had to wait for luggage from American to be loaded. This cause me to miss my flight to Athens. The USB ports were broken so by the time I arrived in London my phone was out of battery.

Both of the first class flight attendants were rude, to everyone, not just us. Not acceptable!

Appalling customer service by both airline and agent. Planning to report to the Better Business Bureau and travel authorities."

Cons: "When I arrived in Columbus Airport, I was met with a sign that read “Desk closed. Call ______ for rebooking flights.” It wasn’t until I found a worker for another airline that I found out that meant the desk didn’t open until two hours before the flight. Then, the agent printed out my luggage tags 8 or 9 times before she finally sent me to another agent to print it correctly. I paid extra to sit in the legroom seats (1F). When I boarded, it turns out I was reassigned to 5F with no explaination. Cramped seating with my knees against the seat in front of me and the seats do not recline. I will be requesting a refund for the extra fee paid. I understand, you get what you pay for, but I was disappointed."

Pros: "The shining spot of this flight was the witty flight attendant who cracked jokes during the preflight safety announcements. It got the whole cabin laughing."
Cons: "To start the flight was overbooked and they needed several volunteers to stay behind for an alternate flight and there were many passengers upset with this. After we finally boarded we were already 30 minutes late, then sat at the gate another 20 minutes before being pushed back. We then sat in line almost 1 1/2 hours for our turn for deicing and it looked like several other flights got to jump in front of us. After that was done there was a malfunction with some navigation equipment and we had to restart the plane. This did not solve the problem so we had to go back to the gate for a technician to come look at it. We sat there another hour until the problem was resolved. We then had to go through deicing again and finally got to take off over 3 hours late. We should have already landed in our destination by the time we finally took off. At least the captain decided to let us all have complimentary snacks and drinks (which normally don’t come with the flight) because of the long delay. While the flight was less expensive than others, the expensive checked bag fees ($52 each) almost negates the savings compared to other airlines. I’m not sure I will fly this airline again."

Cons: "No type of entertainment on the flight, no wifi was available, really hard and uncomfortable seats, food selection wasn't great except for the alcohol to help make your flight go by quicker."
Pros: "I didn't realize how they nickel and dime you for everything- we knew that luggage was extra sweet bought extra small carry-ons but because they had wheels we had to pay for them. If they have been a backpack they wouldn't have charged us even though our luggage with wheels were smaller and could fit in the overhead."
Cons: "Plane left without me and the next spirit flight was three days later."
Pros: "The convenience of buying - for a reasonable price early zone 2 boarding. I don't mind paying for carry on or checked luggage but I thought the prices were a little high and ultimately it just is misleading because your 'cheap' advertised fair isn't really cheap with all the upcharges."
Cons: "The arm of my chair was broken. That you don't get told that you don't need to buy security expedite if you have toss precheck already. But customer service totally made good and credited me back. I rated Food and entertainment only one star because you either needed to pay and I didn't participate or it wasn't available - you need a N/a category."

Cons: "Seats were terrible. I did not get any sleep on either cross country leg. I can usually sleep fine on planes, but the seats were plastic and had no head stabilizer, and did not recline. It was impossible to sleep. I had a "donut" pillow for my neck, but the seats really made it impossible. I won't fly Spirit again until I hear they have better seats."

And even after being charged for a checked bag, I had to wait an hour and a half at baggage claim for my bag and missed the last shuttle of the night to get where I was going. Flight attendants weren't friendly and I couldn't even get a drink without being charged. Will not fly Spirit again."
