Pros: "My flight from Chicago to Doha was late to come in and there was a gate agent waiting for us and two other passengers with a sign when we got off the plane. He told us that our flight had already left but he would get us on the next one. We ended up getting seats on the next flight but then were also given the option to get a temporary visa and explore Doha for the night. We opted for the comped night which included a very nice hotel and $100 in meal vouchers. We absolutely LOVED Doha and the hotel and food was fantastic! I don't think I have ever received better service from an airline or a hotel. We ended up walking around Souq Waquif and the downtown until 1am (we are two young females!) with no issue and just used Uber to get to and from the hotel. Everything was so well laid out for us! No complaints whatsoever!"

I paid more to get on emirates since I was travelling with my wife and child and heard that they had good service, it turned out nothing short of a nightmare.I had just flown ethihad recently and loved their service. If any body is choosing emirates vs ethihad, please choose ethihad especially when travelling with family."

We were promised that she have to claim the baggage at her final decision, but she have to claim it in Mumbai and then check in again in Mumbai(False promise by Emirates). The worst part was, while she did her checking from O'Hara airport, the "EMIRATES EMOLOYEE" allowed her to check in her carry on "WITHOUT OUR REQUEST". But at the Dubai airport she was asked to pay $150 for the carry on. Since she did not have the cash, she couldn't pay and they "CANCELLED" that bag. And at the Mumbai airport she only received one bag and was told her other bag will be delivered to our house but the third bag is "CANCELLED". I don't know from whom should"

I had my face mask on displaying the side that states "please wake me up for meals" and of course I was not. Hours later, I woke up starving and had to go to back of the cabin to pick up a food tray since no one bothered to answer the call light. After finishing my meal, I pushed the call button 5x and no one came to collect the tray. I waved at an attendant 2x and she replied, "I'll pick it up on my way back" but she never came back. 3 HOURS LATER!!! My food tray full of waste was still sitting in front of me. At that point, the gentleman sitting in the aisle seat woke up, saw the tray still in front and he got very upset. He stopped a random attendant walking down the aisle and requested tray must picked right now! The attendant then apologize and was shocked herself that the tray sat on my table for 3 HOURS! In addition to this, the seats in the economy class were so tightly compacted and uncomfortable for a 13 hours flight. One could barely move."

I asked for water three times and got a glass water once only. While taking the trolley from hallway she never used soft skills like excuse me, sorry...thank you. Seats were like too congested and un comfortable. Try to improve this otherwise people have other options. In flight of Abudhabi to Delhi we got the meal after a 15 minutes of discussion on regular available meal on flight."

The staff there just took my existing boarding pass inside a room and came back with new passes rerouting me via JFK. No options were given or further delays/wait times considered. This meant an extra 9 hours of wait time and final arrival time past midnight inconveniencing pick up at destination airport. A pathetic meal ticket was given for use at Abu Dhabi airport and I was told it was valid anywhere for any food. once you go to the food court, you are told you can only avail at certain places and only for a basic food item. Not much food choice was available at 3am at an international airport. The staff would not accomodate a request to provide access to the Premium lounge as compensation for all of the issues."

Even though we had confirmed veg meals multiple times with the airline prior to boarding, they still did not know that we had a specially requested Meal. After notifying the crew of this, one member gave us an extra meal. Another extremely rude staff member then proceeded to yell at us for eating meal. This was extremely uncalled for and has severly ruined the reputation of this airline in our eyes. I requested them that I can buy a bag and can divide the stuff in two bags. But supervisor who seemed Indian was really racist and he kept insisting that we are flying in 5 minutes. Either you have to pay penalty for this hand carry or you can cancel your flight. I have never ever seen this kind of behavior from anyone specially from a supervisor. I ended up paying $300 extra for only 2 kg extra weight in my hand carry. I would recommend my whole family and friends not to choose this airline anymore."

For the next flight (1 am), we waited for the wheelchair after getting the ticket to get to the TSA clearance area before boarding the aircraft. After 2 hours wait, one of the airport staff asked to walk to the security area (several senior passengers had difficulty walking) because it was too close to the boarding time, and no one came with the wheelchair. Very disappointing experience with Air India!"

I somehow managed to play a movie by pounding on screen since I had nothing to do on a 16 hr flight from SFO to Delhi. I am a very frequent international traveler and have never seen a similar problem or issue with any other airline."
