The entertainment is still via a screen on the plane so wired headphones are needed (no bluetooth connect like united). The snacks were very generous.

Much time was wasted and I had to reschedule my flight. The staff members that booked my hotel and my new flight were short and brief and not very helpful or accommodating or informative. Overall I didn’t not feel like a welcomed guest and I do not feel enough compensation was offered for such an inconvenience. Not being able to have my bag overnight was a hassle. I had no clean clothes and had to throw out my contacts because I had no solution. I also couldn’t use the meal voucher they gave me because everywhere in the airport was closed by that time. No stipend was given for toiletries or food delivery. Very unimpressed."
Pros: "A crew member saw me struggling to walk and offered a wheelchair, explained to me that I would be met with one throughout my trip. Her name was Donna!! Problem occurred when we got to Dallas."
Cons: "Instead of circling in the sky, they could have had the pilot take the alternate route he eventually took anyway, in the first place. My family and I still don’t know if we’re going to get a flight to El Paso/ stand by. So much 4 seeing my armyson before he deploys, recipient time waisted over bad decisions on to of everything else, entitled woman on the plane insults me on the lane for no reason. The crew was amazing though."

Cons: "My flight was delayed on the way to Puerto Plata on 9/9 which made me miss an entire day and I was billed for a stay at the resort. I was booked to a crappy room in MIA that I had to get changed to another hotel. THEN my departing flight from Puerto Plata back to the US was delayed 2 plus hours (as was the first flight) due to a flat tire that had to be replaced. I missed my connecting flight and had to be placed on the next flight to DCA which was the last flight. This experience was the worst. I do not have a favorable opinion of American, of which I have flown this airline for years."

Cons: "First flight was delayed causing us to miss the 2nd flight and we ended sleeping on a chair at the airport waiting for a morning flight. AMERICAN AIRLINES didn't even have the decency to put us in a hotel for the night due to their delay. Then they added a 2nd lay over which was delayed for hours also. Traveling was to visit my mother who had cancer and I was sick so this made the trip even more distasteful."
Cons: "The WiFi did not work the entire flight (4 hours from Chicago to Seattle) and despite passengers inquiring multiple times, we were never informed whether to expect it to start working or not. Streaming TV was also poor quality on the United app."

Take off I thought no big deal, but when it was time to land the flight attendant actually looked right at him and said nothing.. When I put my tray down, there was sugar and coffee stains on it. Luckily, I had a wet wipe to wipe it off. The attendants were not very friendly and I was disappointed with them. It just seemed like they were in a hurry. Note this was my flight from Omaha to Chicago. NOT the connecting flight Ord-DCA."

Cons: "On my trip back, my checked baggage was lost. I find it ridiculous that i had to pay a seat fee when it should be included in the airfare, on top of paying extra for a checked and carry-on bag. Also, there was no complimentary drinks or snacks."
Cons: "Worst experience flying. I was the first passenger to board the plane, at 2:22pm, and the flight was supposed to leave at 2:30. We ended up leaving more than an hour later, which made at least 5 passengers including myselft miss our connecting flight to Chicago. They placed ous on the next available flight, which was at 7:30am the next day, but without any hotel accommodations, only a 21-dollar meal voucher. It was their fault we missed our flight and they should have accommodated us."

Pros: "Spirit airlines was late leaving, waiting for fuel. Upon landing, no one was available to bring the jet bridge up to the aircraft, so another delay. Experience tells me the airline has serious gaps in operational planning and execution. These frequently occur with Spirit, and rarely with other “non-discount”, more established airlines."
Cons: "Upon the flight arriving in Asheville, an announcement was made that one of the flight attendants had "bumped her wrist" on the flight and she needed to get it examined before we could board. An hour later, an announcement was made that they were calling in their backup flight attendant who was on vacation. Two hours after that, we were told the flight was being delayed by 20 hours, and we would be put into a hotel room for the night. After another two hours of waiting in line, a voucher for a hotel was issued, along with two $7 vouchers to be spent on food- only food that could be purchased in the airport. Upon arriving by shuttle to the hotel, we found out the hotel did not know we were arriving, and it was another 2 hours until we finally were able to be checked into the hotel. The airline offered no apology, were incredibly rude throughout the process, and did not provide adequate updates in what was going on. In all, I wound up loosing a lot of money for additional parking time at the airport, food costs, transportation costs, and loss of wages from missing an entire extra day of work."

It was comfortable but the seat was broken and did not recline. For a red eye flight it was a bit uncomfortable to sit straight up ."

Not only that but they don’t provide free snacks. Plus they don’t have WiFi, they also didn’t not provide me with an email regarding terminals they were located. I am probably not ever booking a flight again with Spirit airline ."
