Don't EVER book a flight with this company. If you do you are taking a huge risk."

Pros: "I flew executive class. The staff was very friendly and professional on the ground and on the air. seats are comfortable and there's a lot of storage space. The plane left on time and entertainment option aboard is great. What I did not like is that being seated in row 3, for four flights, I never got to eat the meal I wanted. It's seems the option always dies in row 2, just after less than half of the passengers flying executive class have ordered they meal. The rest was great and I would fly copa again!"

Pros: "Total failure deception! I was denied access to the flight because of going into Peru they said I had to have a round-trip ticket and Copa would not let me on board. I was told this and after standing in line for over an hour waiting to check in at almost midnight in LAX. I spent hours on line I spent hours on the phone trying to recoup the situation. they wanted to charge me $325 to make changes plus other expenses of the airfare. I missed important connections in Peru. I am applying for a retirement visa there I should've been allowed to deal with immigration in Peru . However if it is the regulation of that airline that I'm not allowed in there without a round-trip ticket why did kayak sell it to me? Kayak cost me $539 and change not to mention a week and a half late getting to Peru! Customer service was just pretty much ridiculous I spent a lot of time on hold so somebody could go ask somebody who Ask somebody else a question. I could understand no refund however that was just downright not fair kayak and Copa airline basically screwed me over."

Cons: "This is the letter I wrote to the airline My sister in law and I rode your airline for the first time on July 2, 2016 to fly to Bogota from the United States. We first couldn't download our boarding passes on our phones so we were forced to wait for 1.5 hrs in line. (45 min of that which had no one behind the desk working and hundreds of people just standing in lines.) Finally after we checked in we went to the gate and we saw on our tickets that she and I were not sitting together even though I booked the flights for us together and chose our seats to be right next to each other months in advance. I went to the guy at the counter and he said that "it's a full flight, nothing they could do and you will just have to write a letter." My sister is diabetic and needs insulin medicine and to check her blood sugar and since we were unable to sit next to each other we were forced to go do this in the bathroom. Not only that, but to be on a 7 hr flight not sitting with each other when we were supposed to be is very unprofessional. The whole ordeal didn't bode well for your future repeat business of your passengers. Just very unhappy all around regarding using Copa Airlines."

Cons: "We got to the airport 2 hours early and they had us line up in a Very slow moving line. When we finally reached the front an hour had gone by and the customer service rep then said we must have an exit flight from Guyana to get our boarding pass. This is the first we'd heard of this although we had researched visa requirements, etc for Guyana. We stepped out of line and quickly booked a flight on our phone, but when we tried to jump back in again the attendant made us wait in line again (a shorter one, but not smart considering the time crunch at that point. Finally we got to the front again and the attendant was very slow about entering our information. Then suddenly she calmly noted, "oh, it's too late to check you in, you can't make this flight." ... We were upset to say the least and after pestering her further about a reimbursement she said we would have to wait until she dealt with all the other customers (a long line of an hour or more) and that she couldn't put us on the next few flights because they were full. Finally she let us borrow her phone so that WE could call customer service and try to deal with it. They of course gave us the run around and we still don't have a reimbursement and will likely never book with Copa airlines again. Hopefully after a few more phone calls we can eventually get reimbursed. :("

Pros: "fFlight attendants provided excellent service, in fact even the check-in crew was great; friendly, great. Too bad their entertainment system sucks, if the display could be turned off then it would be ok. Caution: flight to Montevideo was delayed 5 hrs because fog shut down Carrasco airport and we had to divert."

Useless, tried this on 2 copa flights, 4 seats, same results, will never fly copa. Layover in Panama too short."

Cons: "We were delayed an hour and a half, which was my entire layover time. Many of the people on our flight had connections, but they handled our arrival poorly, so we (all?) missed our connections. First, Prior to landing, I asked a flight attendant if they would make an announcement asking people without connections to wait for those with connections to deplane first, and he said they would, but they didn't. Second, I arrived at my connecting gate 10 min after scheduled departure, and they had left. If they had waited for a tiny bit, the other people on my flight making that connection would have made it. Instead, I lost an entire DAY of my short trip when my next two flights were rebooked. They did an okay job of rebooking people who had missed flights, if you are patient enough for it. We all got put up in a nice hotel (Hard Rock Hotel), with transportation and food (16$ at the hotel and a voucher at the airport the next morning for me). But it would have been so much easier if they had just held the flights a little bit. Also, a quick kayak search for flights showed there was an earlier flight (so I wouldn't have had to miss a day of my trip), so I don't know why told me the next flight available was 24 hours after my original one.. Many times I felt that they were telling me false information either because they were ignorant or trying to get me to go away. (One person at the desk at the gate tried to tell me that because my flight was only 6.5 hours, and my itinerary showed me arriving 8 and a half hours after departure, I had a longer layover than I thought. Of course, nothing was wrong, there was just a time zone change. Took a while to get him to understand that though...) Also, their default meal was chicken (on a later flight, the ONLY option was beef). This flight had a second option of cheese sandwich. As a vegetarian, this was frustrating. I can't believe that in this day and age, vegetarian options don't automatically come onto the flight. They kept telling me that I could have requested one online before my flight, but since I had patched-together flights, 2 with Copa and 1 with Tame, they didn't let me check in online, let alone request meal options. I felt pretty shut out of the online system. I called before my flight to confirm I had the right departure times (I did) and next time, I'll try asking for vegetarian on the phone (although I would prefer vegan, but I doubt they are even capable of that)."

Cons: "I used kayak to book with airfare.com. I tried 5 times to cancel my flight. Finally they told me I could cancel it and gave me a cancellation quote. When it came time to confirm my cancellation after I had made other arrangements, the agent told me "you havent received the letter you need to confirm your cancellation because you havent confirmed the cancellation....but dont worry we already cancelled your flight....but you might want to call the airline to make sure its cancelled". Then he told me that if I wanted to work out the refund/penalty, I would have to speak with the exact same agent who gave me the original quote. I wasnt able to get into contact with that agent. I just got an e-mail saying "I hope you enjoyed your trip" from copa airlines which proves my flight was never cancelled like the agent from airfare.com told me. I travel frequently using all sorts of services. Ive never had such terrible customer service like I experienced with airfare.com."

They asked that we remove our headphones for landing. This was very strange as we have traveled numerous times and kept our headphones on during flight."

I had to join the customs line again and nothing was offered for my inconvenience."

Cons: "Travel information and history is not linked. I traveled from Kgn and went through great hassle to physically carry my son through Airport to Aircraft. I had to take his booster seat with me because the airline does not provide one. My take is children travel with the airline frequently and I think the airline could invest in a child seat especially for a child with special needs who has to be supported when seated."

Cons: "- pushy flight crew and not responsive - the pilot missed the landing at Cheddi Jagan airport twice because of bad weather and then told us that he would have to land in Piarco if he didn't make the landing on the third attempt. What pilot does that? I thought it was a joke at first but it was real. I have been traveling back and forth to Guyana for over 20 years and this was a first. Pilots have said in the past that there is bad weather but not attempt to land. Startling customers saying that you missed the landing is the completely not the way to go."

There was no web-check available and manager claimed her didn't know it didn't work while the person combing the line told me that it was not working since December. Pilots also didn't communicate on a timely manner. They were told of a 1hr delay after pushback but neglected to tell pax. I was not happy to say the least. How could I forget having to stand in a second line to pay for my additional bag after the 1hr wait to be checked in"
