I was expecting to fly in a Japanese airline because that what I bought, very disappointed finding out the change of airline without any explanation.
Excellent. There were setbacks, but it had nothing to do with the crew. Mostly, mechanical which delayed our flight.
The flights with ANA were great. The flights with United, not so much.
It was so disappointed trip by unexpected company's fault delay. It had taken 3 hours delay for mechanical maintenance plus another 3 hours for bad weather.
SEA HND sector internet only worked for the last 2.5hrs of flight….. never had this kind of incident with other airlines
12 of the 14 hours were in the dark, all during daylight. Didn’t use my light because it disturbed other people it was illuminating. 14 hours sitting upright in a cramped space was horrible.
I’ve always had pleasant experiences with ANA and that has made me a loyal customer.
UA discouraged people to choose seat on economy class by charging about three times of another airlines. For example, ANA will charge USD60 to choose an aisle seat but UA is charging USD 219.
Roomy airlines. Friendly staff. Timely service. Temp was warm during the flight.
As usual the flight from AUS in Austin to SFO was late because they didn’t have adequate staffing to board the plane on time creating a 1 hour delay, which resulted in me missing my flight to Osaka due to a missed connection. When I got to the gate 10 minutes late after landing exactly the time the connecting flight was taking off, I saw my flight to Osaka sitting at the gate and that gates had closed. I attempted to contact United Via chat on the United App and was given the runaround and passed between 2 separate “agents” who after saying they could rebook me, told me I needed to go to ANA even though they’re partners and all of my ticketing was through United. After going to ANA’s gate at SFO to try and get help I was told I would need to leave and go to United’s ticket counter in order to get help. The ANA agents said that it was United’s issue. An hour after running to try to make my flight I got to the United counter. I showed the agent my itinerary and she helped as much as she could. I was booked on a flight that would occur 13 hours after my original flight to Osaka and given $45 in vouchers which doesn’t cover much at SFO. I had also spent 30000 miles with United to get an upgrade with more legroom. And that was not refunded to this point. Ultimately I lost 1 whole day of vacation in with my wife and kids and, the 30000 airline miles and I’m out the money and time I spent. In these situations United and their partners should go out of their way to communicate and accommodate but I was left to my own devices to find the right resources. The only option was to fly to Seoul 12 hours and take a connecting flight to Osaka: I am a United Skyniles member and would not recommend booking a flight with them unless you thoroughly understand the routes as it is likely you will be left to your own devices to resolve the situation.
I purchased my two tickets on February 2025. Tickets were by each other, aisle and window. However, when we were boarded the assigned seats were one by the window and the other one in the middle of the four seated row. It was a horrible experience and we had to tolerate 17 hours of flight seating by different people. If the airline changes the seat arrangement, it should have the decency to notify the passengers in advance. I have checked my return tickets to Los Angeles, and I have noticed that they are not by each other and I don’t know what to do. I hope someone contacts me and rectify this mistake.
I had selected seats together for my family of three when I first booked my tickets in February. However, I realized only when I checked in at the airport that the seats I had selected were no longer assigned to us and we were completely scattered across three different middle seats instead of being seated together! After requesting the Singapore staff to have us seated together on a full flight, they managed to find something but it was right next to the rest rooms and the whole journey of 15+ hours was really unpleasant. They said that the seat selection isn't locked and the airline can reallocate the seats anytime. No one ever told us this and it was a terribly unpleasant surprise. Will avoid Kayak/underpricer and Singapore in future

Wish the seat don’t have restrictions, can’t fully insert backpack all the way inside.
I have difficulties to book wheelchair for my parents returned flight
Flight was delayed by baggage loading onto the plane. This was attributed to "inclement weather" (some moderate rain) which could be said to be beyond the airline's control, but the problematic part was that the plane was boarded and doors shut so that passengers sat in a cramped plane with rising temperature (full flight) for an hour. The airline was aware of the status of baggage loading, they could have deferred boarding to keep passengers comfortable.
Good flight. Fiod was ready a bit late hence a hurry to finish before landing. Excellent crew and service
A pc of cake or biscuit at least. The airport was like a maze need to take another bus to the main terminal to immigration.
Flight was delayed by 2 hours. No entertainment on the 737-800NG. Somewhat squeezy.
For a 17hr economy flight it wasn’t bad at all, thankfully it wasn’t a narrow body plane.
Simplicity of boarding and corporate interactions were all totally positive and simple, brief, organized and clear. No regrets at all. I will favor flights with Cathay Pacific in the future.
Big selection and great food and beverages in business class with good service. Full recline but less privacy compared with Qatar.
Really impressed with the Airline and much with the Crew. The crew was amazingggg, changed seats very easily, provided a lot of snacks on demand, the plane is nice and clean, the menu is well presented; unfortunately, the food is not fantastic, but it's not bad either but nothing to rave about. I am still rating it as excellent because I loved everything else; food improvement will be great!
My flight was delayed by 8 hours I arrived at airport 4hrs earlier but to see if they can reroute me to get my connecting flt to Hong Kong. They auto rebooked my flt. With no chance. Which I missed this entire reservation through kayak. My next flt they got me on was at 6 am. Misses an entire day of my trip abroad all my accommodations seat assignments were missed and missed adding my TSA precheck to my ticket as well as my vegan meal request so I didnt have meals on any of the flight....so not a comfortable experience. Please help me with accommodations upon my return.
Previous flight with Cathay from LAX was delayed thus missing this flight to KL by 12 hours. This in turn missed other travel arrangements from KL. They did provide overnight accommodation in Hong Kong.
The plane was dirty, the seats were torn and broken, the service was the most terrible ever, the bathroom dirty, they will not even serve water you had to request it, the meals were terrible, overall less than Zero, I will never fly Cathay Pacific again.
Despite the crew's rough day, they were all very focused and friendly. The flight was too short for a meal, so no rating on that. Re. the AA app. It still isn't ready for prime time. AA works with Cathy Pacific for international flights to LA and the Aa jump to PHX. But the AA app can't find my trip and this can be problematic with flight delays and regatings at LAX.
Was not able to board flight because boarding pass name did not match passport name and no one caught it.
Cathay much better than other options Imigration was a total mess on arrival in KL but not Cathay s fault
They’ve got everything right. What a wonderful Airline. Their business class lounges superb. Qantas could learn a lot from them.
The taxi drivers are very rude. Didn’t wait. They said you come in 5minutes or I leave. Did not leave any messages on front desk and they left. We have to hire new cabs in turkey.
Everything was good except for the seating arrangements. We could not get seats to be seated together with my wife. We’re unfortunately.
My first time in business class The in flt staff was outstanding in every aspect of service, the food was amazing, the business seat space made the 11 hour journey easy peazy

I always travel on Turkish Airlines but seriously I am I am considering to change because this is not the first time that the flight attendant are rude and they dont help. I asked for cold water with ice 5 times and I got water with no ice and this is not the first time to ask for something and you dont get it. Also I noticed this behavior only towards people who are not turkish.
There were not enough extra leg room options to purchase. Also the seat Infront of mine was broken and the gentleman literally laid back into my lap for the whole trip. This was the most uncomfortable trip I have ever been on
A lot of things can be done to improve in flight experience
Average at every level . Poor entertainment selection. Boarding was very poor and disorganized. Flight was late by one hour .

My flight got cancelled. Couldn’t get my luggage. It arrived at my destination ahead of me. I didn’t get my preordered meal. Had to spend the night in the airport.
The crew was good, the WiFi was amazing, but the plane was meh. Uncomfortable first class, not enough room for baggage. My stuff ended up being behind my seat, so I had to sit on the plane for 20 minutes before I could get to it after landing.
food /beverage service was limited to one time which was unexpected for a flight that long. food wasn't very good.
United did nit provide any updated on flight crew not bein available until boarding time started. It was bad. Itws alate night flight and there no proactive communication and iha d an important meeting that i missed due to thus
From the boarding crew to the FAs was such a good team. All with smiles and positive energy. The pilots made an announcement of us waiting on some passengers who were late landing and I didn’t hear one person feel like it was an inconvenience which was wonderful. Massive kudos to all that worked that flight. Everyone was united. 😊💙
Smooth flight, easy boarding process. Made up time in the air with initial delay due to weather pass through
Flight was over two hours late, but they notified us early in the morning. They ended up changing planes the food on board that was extremely mediocre and we were in premier class.
Provide some Asian movies.....Chinese or Taiwan or some of the International films winners and better documentaries
