Cons: "My flight from Seattle to spokane was cancelled and then reinstalled but I had no boarding pass and had to get the ticket at the main desk before catching my connection. By the time I got through the line the flight was already gone"

Pros: "Everything was smoothe from the time I got to the airport from check in to boarding. Flight was short and pilot warned us about a possible bit of rough air before we ever took off."

First my flight from Oakland was delayed an hour, and while they did rebook me a flight (with a 3-hour layover in Seattle), they couldn't keep me in a first-class seat and didn't offer anything to compensate for that. This was my first time (and probably last time) treating myself to a first-class flight, and I was kind of looking forward to that seat...although I understand if flights are full.. When I arrived (an hour late) in Seattle, the gate was shown as N2, about ten thousand miles away from my debarking gate in the C section. After walking halfway there, I stopped at an Alaska desk to AGAIN verify info and ask if someone could PLEASE CHECK and see if I could keep my first-class seating, since I PAID for one originally and the delay was airline-based. They blandly told me the flights were full and everyone had checked in already, and then mentioned that the gate had been changed BACK to C section, so hike back another 5000 miles to where I started. Wait three hours. I did check in at the gate as well, yet again, to beg with my best smiley-face and see if the girls could find me a first class spot or put me on standby, since I PAID for it. They said, sadly, no it's all full and checked in. Wait and wait. When I finally did board, I noticed that the info board said that "two upgrade requests" had been filled. What? Seriously? Is that MY FIRST CLASS SEAT YOU JUST GAVE SOMEONE? *frowns slightly* Walked through the already-seated first-class cabin, noticing that TWO OF THEM are empty. I was seated in the middle between a regular dude and this woman who is apparently running her company and having a conference call loudly on her phone, right in my ear. So yes, we understand: She's important. After sitting for a few minutes, I finally buzzed an attendant, who finally arrived, and asked her AGAIN, if she could please check if there any first class seats open, because that is what I PAID FOR and I'd appreciate finishing my trip as it was origanally booked. She said she'd check. AND THEN DISAPPEARED FOREVER. Never did see her again. A few minutes later, yet another attendant walked down the aisle with a clipboard, checking for open seats and I'm thinking she's coming to tell me that yes, there's been an opening and one of those 2 empty seats is mine and please go ahead and move. But no. She walks on by and says something about adding more standby people to some empty seats. I'm literally biting my tongue. Then, before I can say anything, these TWO GUYS come flailing down the gangway and bail into the two lovely EMPTY first-class seats in front of me. *scowl* I'm sorry, but unless they were late getting to the plane, and those were actually their seats (could be true), this whole thing was handled very strangely. I never fly first class anyway, and I understand delays and full flights, but it would have been nice to have anyone even attempt to help me finish my trip in the class that I had PAID FOR."

Cons: "Flight was delayed from GEG -> PDX Before departure, the pilot announced that the flight would be "very bumpy" and so they weren't going to have drink service at all and the flight attendants would stay seated for the duration of the flight. This made me very nervous for the whole flight. However, it was hardly bumpy at all. I arrived tired from getting all worked up over nothing. On the way back to Spokane, the pilot announced before departure that the takeoff and landing would be bumpy, but once we got up to altitude it would be smooth. The reality was totally the opposite. During takeoff it was quite smooth, but then there was so much turbulence at cruising altitude that the pilot came on to say they were cancelling the beverage service halfway through for safety reasons. And then it smoothed out before landing. I thought it was a bad experience on both counts. Why even bother making a prediction about flight conditions if they are so changeable? It only sets people's expectations and then they are disappointed or unsettled."

Cons: "I have never been asked to leave a plane. They made some outrageous claims with no real reason. Saying I smelled like acohol so that was reason enough to remove me from the plane. I was happy smiling and talking with other people in the row about families. I gave no reason for them to remove me from the flight. Not one time during boarding or waiting at the gate was I talked to about behavior or anything that might be reasons for removal off the plane. Crappy customer services I don't think they handled this very well at all."

By the time I got to Spokane they had restored my faith that , there are people who work on the airlines that are kind not grumpy! And know how to make you feel welcome. I am an auctioneer and travel doing sales , and when you only cater to your (FIRST CLASS) people as on the first leg of this flight it is pretty sad!"

Pros: "I don’t know what Delta could have done better on this two leg flight from Albuqueque to Miami via Atlanta . Yes we were in First Class and it was a (groan) 6:05 AM flight which meant that we were probably on time. But Delta’s 737-900 (to Atlanta) was very comfortable, the crew did everything well and the breakfast was quite good. (Make sure you try the quiche). We had the same crew on the next leg to Miam, who were surprised and gave us a warm welcome. There were only snacks in 1st for that short segment, but they were all we wanted."

Cons: "I booked through kayak and received an e-mail saying "you're booked!" with a flight itinerary and everything and then I got to the airport and they told me I had no ticket to get on the flight and no payment had ever been made and that to get on the flight I would have to pay over $1000 for a seat !!!! The original ticket I bought was under $400. I was NOT happy with this at all - Kayak screwed me over and I expect compensation."

They had real almonds instead of the usual 1/3 ounce peanuts, isn't that wonderful? Lights went off early and stayed that way so that the passengers could easily sleep through the flight. Uneventful flight, and therefore enjoyable."
Cons: "I had chosen 10C in the Comfort+ section of this MD90 plane. I did get my knee bumped more than once. I still like the seat because I can stretch my legs, but people should be aware of the bumping issue; it can be rather painful, and you do not get an apology."

Cons: "Food was cold and mediocre. After flying 6 hours I got up and walked to the galley to see if there was any food and also to get my blood flowing through my body. It was approximately 5 a.m. After standing in the galley for about 5 minutes eating a small sandwich and while drinking my second glass of water, I was told I needed to sit down that I was in the galley too long. Older adults need to move around and get the blood flowing to prevent getting a blood clot. the 3 women stewardesses were busy talking in the galley I guess they felt their privacy and as being invaded."

Cons: "The information in the web site it's confusing. I check in online, and still had to wait 30 minutes to check in my baggage. The seat I was assigned, it's the worst seat I ever had. It doesn't make sense to check in 3 hours early and get 30C in an airplane with 30 been the highest number. In top of it, your staff receving the baggage needs better training and more help. They get overworked and discharge their frustration with the customers."

Now we are having to pay for a second hotel and second flight from BOGOTA to Barranquilla. There are a lot of very angry and disappointed travelers today. Boarding crew (not on flight but in the terminal) was NOT nice-- I had a garment bag that in past experience does not count as an additional carry on since it can be placed on top of carry-on in overhead bin. Boarding crew member insisted I was over the limit (when though at check-in, the staffer saw how many pieces I had and made no comment) and she insisted I had to check one item AND pay the baggage fee. But this was a problem only because it was a full flight, and I was being punished just because my seat was in a tow closer to the front and boarded later, therefore there was less room left in the overhead bins. Also seemed ridiculous to charge for the first checked bag, with most other reputable airlines, there is no fee for the first checked bag for international flights."

Cons: "I am young but I am in heart failure and have an artificial heart. I had requested wheelchair service so I didn't overexert myself at the airport and was wheeled right up to the gate. There were two other older passengers in wheelchairs, one on either side of me. When it came time to pre-board flight attendants came up to both men and helped them on board. They ignored me. Then they announced regular boarding. I had to remove my bags from my lap and get up out of the chair and go to the gate to say I needed to preboard. The man looked annoyd and said they had announced it. When I explained how no one came to me but they did the others he said I could go now. I said I needed help with my bags and he acted VERY surly and put out. He did help me but I felt like they assumed because I was young I couldn't possibly be sick and treated me like a liar."

I was told they couldn't find me In the system anywhere and when they finally did find me they told me they had booked my seat onto another flight that didn't leave u til 6 pm and I would arrive home in San Diego at 10:40 pm. They refused to check my luggage because they said I had arrived too early. I wasn't too early for my originally scheduled flight! I now had to sit in the airport for 5 hours. I had to call home, arrange a sitter for my children whom I was suppose to see at 8:55 pm. They said there was nothing they could do about it."

Cons: "If I would make ANY suggestion, it would be to load people from the back of the plane to expedite loading. Your current 'zone' approach results in lots of waiting for passengers lo sitting in the back....as the front passenger's mess around, trying to get themselves situated...CLUELESS that there are a hundred others WAITING in the aisle, as they tussle with their sweaters, purses, tech equipment, etc. (if you get my gist!). Just something to consider....."

Cons: "We booked with Air Canada but it was actually United. The flight was delayed five hours. This always happens with United and they seldom provide explanations or updates."

Cons: "Purchased tickets 4 months before this flight for a departure time of 6:05pm. Tried to check in and check baggage at 9:30am but was turned away saying I could only check in 3 hrs prior to my flight. Came back at 3:00pm to check-in and they could not find my information. An hour later they find out that they cancelled the flight and moved my departure time to 8:25am for that day. They say they emailed 3 times in May but I never got it (I'm a bit crazy about my email staying clean) so they say it might have went in to my spam folder due to they types of emails they send to customers. They only kept repeating that they notified me so there is nothing they could do. I ended up going to Air Canada to get a flight to PHX the next day. No apology, no help, no hotel for the night...Terrible experience by United. They gave me a customer relations group contact information to follow up with for complaint but since they sent me the 3 emails in May about the change, they have no liability to fix the situation."

Because they were loud and obnoxious they got all the service on the flight. The way they acted, very inappropriately to another passenger, and sneaking booze from their carry on-Wished there was an air marshal on the flight. Won't be flying United again."

Cons: "The snacks were a waste of time. The charge for the entertainment system is based on the published flying time but since those are overstated to improve on time performance, the entertainment charge was excessive."
