Pros: "Check in and crew were friendly and helpful. Was in first class so of course was comfortable. Deplaning was quick and efficient."
Cons: "This flight required taking a shuttle from the gate to an offsite location. The distance to the offside was rather far and we were packed in a shuttle. We had to wait for two more shuttles for passengers that were in delayed connections. Additionally, someone apparently filled the plane with too much fuel, throwing off the balance of the plane and we had to wait for some of the fuel to be removed. During this wait, in first class we were only offered orange juice or coffee. I realize it was a very short flight, but a snack might have been a good idea."

So, had to pack up all our baby stuff, grab our gate checked car seat and stroller, go to another gate, and board again. After taxiing for about 40 min, we finally took off (when we should have been landing). Definitely prepped bottles and diaper bag for a one hour flight and had an antsy baby by the time we landed. Totally understand that mechanical issues come up and am glad we were safe, but would have been much appreciated if we didn't have to board, deplane, and then board again."

First my flight from Oakland was delayed an hour, and while they did rebook me a flight (with a 3-hour layover in Seattle), they couldn't keep me in a first-class seat and didn't offer anything to compensate for that. This was my first time (and probably last time) treating myself to a first-class flight, and I was kind of looking forward to that seat...although I understand if flights are full.. When I arrived (an hour late) in Seattle, the gate was shown as N2, about ten thousand miles away from my debarking gate in the C section. After walking halfway there, I stopped at an Alaska desk to AGAIN verify info and ask if someone could PLEASE CHECK and see if I could keep my first-class seating, since I PAID for one originally and the delay was airline-based. They blandly told me the flights were full and everyone had checked in already, and then mentioned that the gate had been changed BACK to C section, so hike back another 5000 miles to where I started. Wait three hours. I did check in at the gate as well, yet again, to beg with my best smiley-face and see if the girls could find me a first class spot or put me on standby, since I PAID for it. They said, sadly, no it's all full and checked in. Wait and wait. When I finally did board, I noticed that the info board said that "two upgrade requests" had been filled. What? Seriously? Is that MY FIRST CLASS SEAT YOU JUST GAVE SOMEONE? *frowns slightly* Walked through the already-seated first-class cabin, noticing that TWO OF THEM are empty. I was seated in the middle between a regular dude and this woman who is apparently running her company and having a conference call loudly on her phone, right in my ear. So yes, we understand: She's important. After sitting for a few minutes, I finally buzzed an attendant, who finally arrived, and asked her AGAIN, if she could please check if there any first class seats open, because that is what I PAID FOR and I'd appreciate finishing my trip as it was origanally booked. She said she'd check. AND THEN DISAPPEARED FOREVER. Never did see her again. A few minutes later, yet another attendant walked down the aisle with a clipboard, checking for open seats and I'm thinking she's coming to tell me that yes, there's been an opening and one of those 2 empty seats is mine and please go ahead and move. But no. She walks on by and says something about adding more standby people to some empty seats. I'm literally biting my tongue. Then, before I can say anything, these TWO GUYS come flailing down the gangway and bail into the two lovely EMPTY first-class seats in front of me. *scowl* I'm sorry, but unless they were late getting to the plane, and those were actually their seats (could be true), this whole thing was handled very strangely. I never fly first class anyway, and I understand delays and full flights, but it would have been nice to have anyone even attempt to help me finish my trip in the class that I had PAID FOR."

But they tried very hard to make thing up to us, which goes a long way to making us feel like we are valued customers!"

I went to a kayak help desk to have a ticket printed that showed my TSA precheck because it wasn’t showing on my mobile ticket, and no one was there to help. I waisted for 10 mins. It then took me nearly 2 hours to get through security. I asked if I could get through quicker and was told I could not, despite it being passed my boarding time. I then ran to my gate where I waited for another 10 mins (no one was there, again) and then an employee came out and said they couldn’t let anyone board once the door was shut. He then directed me to the delta help desk (there was at least 20 people behind me who missed their flight). I then had to pay an additional $75 to get a later flight. The whole experience was awful and I’m disappointed with Kayak and the gate confusion, but mostly Delta and the lack of customer service."

They tried to request ppl to take next day flight by giving away 300 gift card etc. the ppl who were told there are no seats upset and arguing at the gate. Flight was delayed for one hour. Once we are on airplane, they are still shuffling seats around, so ppl cannot move forward. Just standing there for 10mins waiting for things to settle. Flight attendants did not give us a headphone. (I have a headphone for iPhone X so I could not connect it to their entertaiment system.)"

A surprise for us was being asked if we would like to move seats from the back of the aircraft to Comfort Economy (we think it was to do with weight balance! but appreciated very much none the less). The flight attendants were very professional and helpful, as you would hope all attendants on all airlines would be. We'd gladly fly Delta again anytime."

Cons: "The flight attendants were uniformly rude and nasty to passengers from start to finish. As I boarded, I asked for a piece of art to be stored in the wardrobe compartment. This was treated as an inconvenience. During and after boarding, flight attendants addressed passengers rudely when encouraging them to take their seats in a timely fashion. Later, when my seat mate politely asked a FA to repeat the food options, she asked, "Excuse me?" several times and seemed very irritated to have to repeat the choices for him. Also, near the end of the flight, a pillow was on the ground and a FA asked those seated in my row to pick it up. We responded that it wasn't ours and she said something to the effect of, "Oh yeah? So how did it get there?" (Maybe because someone else dropped it and we didn't notice?) The FAs seemed irritated to serve passengers at all. Each time they passed through for beverage or meal service, I felt like I was imposing on them. I have never witnessed anything quite like it. Makes me wonder why they were all so upset and and felt it appropriate to speak and act disrespectfully toward customers. (Delta, do you have any insights?) I hope they all got a good night's rest after that haul."

A shared intercom system between two gates (b7 and b7a), boarding flights around the same time and our flight beginning portions of pre boarding with no announcements caused mass confusion. Passengers lining up to go before they should, bumping into each other, no info or corrections over the intercom. The gate agent yelling at people to move aside. Overall terrible gate agents and terrible set up. Flight crew was great though."

Cons: "Since it was a flight from Seoul, Korea to Seattle; it would've been nicer if all the movies had Korean subtitles-- my 4-yo boy who only speaks Korean, couldn't make it through more than 15 mins of a movie because he couldn't understand (of course, some of that is due to age & short attention-span). But he kept saying, "I hate English" in Korean while trying to pick a movie. Also, I'm 6'2"; so while it was nice having the whole row for my kids to lay down in-- I was cramped and uncomfortable the whole flight, even moreso with Delta's seats being closer together than on other international carriers I've flown."

Cons: "We arrived early at recommended time. The line was so long that by the time our family of 6 reached the front, they had put us on standby for 8 hours later, then that flight was delayed. SunCountry owes me not only what I paid for tickets, but also for my PTO used, my spouse’s PTO and the expenses incurred which include food and the UBer because the car rental will be closed by the time we arrive. This may include the extra expense now of a hotel night at our destination. I could not be more disgusted."

Luggage is checked luggage is $25; on my flight to Minneapolis, my luggage was lost for 30 hrs and wet on the inside when my daughter picked it up the next afternoon. It was not raining when our flight took off from NYC. The seats seem thinner on the cushion and if someone puts their seat in front of you, even slightly, it is very cramped. The flight was about 1/2 hour late taking off with what I counted as at least 10 planes ahead of us - most domestic - SW, other SunCountry and Delta. I have flown Sun Country periodically for the last 10 years. Now, I am done for all the reasons listed above. I have flown on other airlines this year and other than Alaska this was the least comfortable - actually it occured to me in an emergency it would have been very difficult to get out of my row. I understand this is a business - just not interested in buying from it."

Cons: "On July 7th, I was flying from JFK to MSP and then from MSP to PDX. Somewhere on the way, Sun Country Airlines lost my bag and they don't seem to have any idea where it might be. I was forced to spend my entire vacation without my bag. It's been 16 days, we called the baggage services office several times, wrote e-mails, even talked to someone in person in the MSP office and yet nobody's able to help. All we got were promises for a call back about the status of the claim, but nobody ever calls or responds to e-mails. I'm extremely disappointed and will call DOT and FAA if I don't get a response very soon."

Cons: ""Lowest fairs!!" and then on check in they nickel and dime you with extra costs for even a carry on AND to choose a seat that you already bought!! I mean, you don't have to. You could always just wait until check in at the airport and get thrown into a middle seat. Saving extra money was what pushed me over the edge here, but after all the fees after booking was paid for and experience, I would have gladly paid the extra money to fly Alaska Airlines. Also, you would think on a 5.5 hr flight that occurs over/near dinner time there would be more food options than just snack packs. Even that was mediocre."

Cons: "I paid for my ticket, but when I went to check in the day before my flight there were fees I had to pay that I was not aware of and had no choice but to do so. They do not offer and free carryon bag. If you pay online you have to pay an extra $30 for a carryon item or $20 for a checked bag. These fees apply to your destination and your flight home as well. On top of that, you have to pay for your seat. All in all I was not happy with my experience with sun country. I am normally not someone who writes poor reviews, but this was definitely the worst airline I’ve ever used."

The only good thing was they gave me an exit row, which was comfortable and allowed me to get on the plane first. But that was just luck. Probably not flying Sun Country again."

The middle seats were free but the aisle seats cost $15. I'm a big guy so I paid the $15. When I got on the flight I learned the flight wasn't full and there were plenty of seats available. I thought there must be a mistake so I tested it on the way back to L.A. from Minneapolis. I got the same email encouraging me to get my seat early and check in online. The seating chart indicated that the flight was full and only a few middle seats and aisle seats were available. So instead of checking in online I waited to do it at the counter. Sure enough the lady at checkin told me there was plenty of seats and even offered me and my travel companions a whole row so we could sit together. I feel like Sun Country is misleading their customers in order to make a few extra bucks. Lame!"

Cons: "A new mom was in the aisle walking to keep her baby quiet and to stretch her legs (after the drink, snack, and trash carts had gone by) and had her back to a flight attendant also coming down the aisle. She was talking to another parent on the flight when the attendant came behind her and told the woman, "Excuse me. Some of us are still working." Her tone was suuuuper rude and uncalled for. A friendly "excuse me, please" would have been just fine and would have gotten the job done. I went to the bathroom a couple minutes later and the attendant was on her break and eating, so maybe she was hangry, but still! Seats were uncomfortable on both flights, but not as bad as Spirit Airlines. I had bad low back pain afterwards, even after getting up to walk partway through the flight. This is something I've experienced on a couple other airlines too, but the legroom on planes has gotten worse. For those of us with long legs, it's a huge pain. I'm 5'9", so I can't imagine how it is for someone taller. The legroom on Sun Country was just as bad as other flights. Probably a strange complaint, but the seat back pocket had a bar running in the hem, so when I put my water bottle inside, the entire pocket stuck out as far as my water bottle. This meant I had to choose between having the pocket rub against my knees or hold my water bottle between my thighs. Neither were ideal. The check-in in San Diego was painfully slow. There were three people standing there, but only one person seemed to be checking people in. The staff was friendly here. A Sun Country employee at MSP told a man he had to check his carry-on suitcase because the wheels stuck out of Sun Country's tiny metal carry-on test box a CENTIMETER. I kid you not. Absolutely ridiculous. I saw much larger luggage come onto the flight. The woman who checked me in was quick but I wasn't able to ask any questions before being sent away. No free snacks or entertainment which seem to be included on most other similarly priced airlines. The food for purchase (burgers and Jimmy Johns or something) made the plane smell bad. I asked for coffee with cream and sugar as my complimentary drink and was given the powdered creamer packets. Fine, okay, I understand if that's all they have, but then I saw them walking through the aisle later offering coffee and they had creamer cups in their aprons! No one asked me which kind I wanted. :("

This was my first experience on Sun Country and the flight attendants allowed people to use the bathroom in the front of the aircraft, but at hour 3.00 when i walked up to use it - i was then told to go to the back. After I watched many people for HOURS freely use it. Not just when the cart was in the aisle either. Just not consistent in their directions and follow through making it confusing for passengers. There was no wifi, so I couldn't work and there was no entertainment on board. I won't be flying Sun country again."

The head of the guy sitting in front of me was almost in my lap. I couldn't even lower my tray table all the way down to a flat position to set my beverage upon because his seat was so close to mine. When the flight was almost to its destination, we had to circle the airport for awhile because Obama was landing at this time too. We were never told of this possibility until it actually happened. Why not ? We arrived about an hour and a half later than our scheduled time. With all these inconveniences to us, absolutely nothing complimentary was given to us passengers to make up for their incompetence and how our travel plans may have been disrupted. This was a bad experience and my last with Sun Country."

However, upon arrival, we were stuck on the runway for 3 hours!!!! Our flight landed at 1, we did not exit plane until 3:40. They were not curtious enough to give us accurate time frames on when we would be allowed off. They told us 40 minutes initially, obviously was a lie. We did not receive updates whatsoever. We had to stay seated the entire time with seat belts even though we were not moving!! I got up to use the restroom and was instructed to sit back down even though attendants were aware that we were not moving and were not getting off any time soon. A 2 hour flight turned into 5 hours on the plane instead so of course many passengers needed to use the restroom. Flight attendants offered no avail with extra attention, drinks, snacks or even by allowing fussy babies to be strolled down the aisle as the aircraft was completely still until the last 3-5 minutes when we FINALLY pulled to a terminal. We had to have a terminal when southwest would have gladly brought stairs to our flight so we could at least wait inside a less compact space, such as the airport, for luggage. I know of many people on our flight who missed connecting flights, which I'm sure AA did nothing to accommodate. By the end of it all, my family member who originally was going to pick us up from airport went home as he waited over 3 hours for me to get off the plane. I had to pay a taxi cab to bring me home and did not make it home until 6am when it was all said and done. To add insult to injury, the flight attendants did not even thank us for our patience or have the decency to address said issue. Never flying AA again."

The United Airline staff in San Francisco told me to pick up my luggage when I get to Seattle despite of the fact that my final destination was Vancouver. I questioned the staff about this ata this seemed odd, but he insisted that I pick up my luggage in Seattle. Upon arrival to Seattle I went to the baggage claim area to find out that my luggage was already put through to the connecting airline to Vancouver. This resulted in me having to go through a long line of passengers to do all of the security checks again to enter the international airport gates. This almost resulted in me missing my connecting flight to Vancouver. The only saving grace was that the flight was delayed by another hour. 3. Changes made on my connecting flights were only given to me during my check in at Auckland. My previous booking was Auckland -San Francisco - Portland - Vancouver. The boarding pass I was given in Auckland omitted Portland and was changed to Seattle. I was never informed about this by United Airlines. 4. United Airlines website NOT allowing me to log in using my e-mail."

Cons: "OK, United, I understand and fully support "no more seat monitor" policy to reduce costs (even though it seems very backward); however, there's one problem--if you still want to enjoy onboard entertainments, you need to download the United application above 10,000 feet where you can never find your 4G connection. Oh wait, but there's still Wi-Fi service, right? Sure, if you are willing to pay $17 just to download application!! United, I understand how you want to make little money out of a customer's pocket, but this is not how you should do it. You should at least allow internet connection before departure or let the customer aware they need to download application beforehand."

Cons: "What is Kayak anyway? Check your records Kayak in no way helped my travels. Kayak was not able to book my lame flights with the lame and soon to be bankrupt again airlines. Kayak has done nothing but waste my time. Thanks. Is Kayak publicly traded? I'll have to look that up. Great short sale right there."
Pros: "Getting off the plane"
Cons: "The guy puked halfway through the flt and not one single flt attendant came even though they were serving drinks repeatedly to the dr sitting in the row in front of me. Also the flt was delayed as we waited almost an hour for people trying to connect which made me more upset since I was rebooked on that later flt because although my previous flt was there half hour before departure, we didn't have a gate to use which caused me to be 15 mins late for my original flt. Did they wait for me?! NO! I was rebooked. It's unfair that they stole an hour of life from every other passenger to accommodate a few. Back to the guy who puked, an hour after that he started shaking and grabbing his head and asking me why am I hurting his heart. Then incoherent blathering and then his last episode 20 minutes before we land in which he started hitting himself in the head saying he would die right now for his wife and how he's made mistakes. It was three separate incidents from this one passenger and not one flt attendant noticed? Yeah it was bad piled on worse stacked on top of never United ever again."

Cons: "The united staff kept skipping the lines to drop off the bags. They didn't care when multiple people in line said they were skipping people. After paying once for my checked bag they tried to make me pay again. Asked to see in writing what they were trying to explain and the manager couldn't do it. They never gave me my ticket stub for my checked bag. So if it hadn't arrived I wouldn't have had anyway to find it. Very disappointing staff in SFO. Seemed aa if no one at SFO was happy to be working there or even worse didnt know what to do most of the time. VERY different than the DEN united experience."
Pros: "Friendly staff, easy boarding. They got me where I needed to go, and on time!"
Cons: "I'm disappointed in their in-flight entertainment system. Download the app and check out all of the amazing options they have, then try to use it & good luck. It took me 5 hours to watch 20 min of the movie I chose. It just kept cutting out, then would say entertainment service isn't offered, etc. Why are airlines going away from personal TVs & instead having you bring your own device which may or may not work with the service up there? There was also NO room. I'm not a big person, but I didn't even have space to put my bad under the seat in front of me & sit comfortably. I flew back on JetBlue with the same amount of stuff and had ample room. It was interesting to see the difference."

Cons: "Never got to do this flight because of the previous flight which is reviewed below: My seat was broken and wouldn't stay in upright position. This really pissed off the passenger behind me. Crew kept telling me to put my seat upright, I kept having to tell them the seat was broken. Old airplane with no in-seat entertainment. they advertise on the seat that you can watch all their entertainment content for free, but then you have to pay for wifi to watch so it's not free then, is it? Every movie or show requires "additional software" so you have to purchase internet to do the download. This is an 11 hour flight, I would have appreciated being able to watch a movie or something without forking out $30. Flight was delayed, so we were low on time to make our connection. I asked a flight attendant twice if we could get help deplaning early or at least get moved up some rows since we were in the very back of a 747 (there were plenty of vacant seats). They said no, and told us that customs would only take a minute and that the other united flight knew we'd be coming and would wait. I don't usually fly united; other airlines typically will actively take steps to help (like moving connecting passengers to the front shortly before landing) if they are the cause of the delay. Customs had only one agent working and we were pretty much last in line so that process took over an hour. Just moving us 10 rows forward before landing would have made all the difference because our connecting flight closed its doors and taxied for takeoff less than 5 minutes before we arrived. They had some united employees guiding and directing a couple of passengers that were going to be late for a connection to LAX, but no help for those of us connecting to portland. Customer service didn't even offer a verbal apology. Last time I flew with united, I also had a terrible experience for different reasons. I did not intend to fly united for this flight, but I purchased tickets through and for Lufthansa, and this flight was regrettably operated by united. Another thing I don't like - the food was horrendous. It was a breakfast sandwich that was advertised as "hot and fresh" on the packaging but was served straight from the refrigerator. I was in the middle seats with one person to my left and two people to my right. Everyone took only one bite and threw away the rest. Just don't bother serving the food if it's going to be that bad, it's very wasteful. I always appreciate a hot towelette after a long overnight flight. United offered no such thing which was a first for me. Regarding boarding: they called us all up to line up in boarding groups and then we had to stand in line for 65 minutes. I have a bad back and had to sit on the carpet to avoid being last in line and not having space for my carry on bag. Would have been nicer if they would have just let us sit in the chairs at the gate in comfort until they were ready to board."

Cons: "After much concerns and inquiries made bag did NOT make the plane! There is as no one to h love me to n white Planes for 45 minutes! No one at the counter? Wow! Finally supervisor Jill was able to track it down in Chicago where th y took it off the he plane as my carry on because they had no room l ft from the h limited space. After working very hard to get my bag of o White Plains that evening, supervisor Jill hung out an hour past her shift ended to get it on the last transport to my hotel. The transport blew herself by ft and never showed up or called the o say he wasn't coming back! I got my bag on he next morning just in tim for my event! I also was not credited my frequent flyer miles. Some glitch in the system. Overall I must rate my experience as a one star simply because the pilots got us there safely."
Pros: "No entertainment unless you pay, but you can't turn the tv off, so it's playing bright ads in your face all night. Awesome."
Cons: "If you want to feel like you're riding the most cramped Greyhound bus, definitely ride with united."
Cons: "Because of a delay in SFO to Chicago O'Hare airport I missed my connecting flight back home. My connecting flight left early without me. While boarding the plane in SFO, the people at the gate made me check my carry on bag. Which I thought was very weird. When we finally got to Chicago I stood in line for two and a half hours to talk to one of the worst customer service lady of my life. She swore at me many times over me trying to be polite and wait for her to call me up to find another flight. Instead she looked at me and said "what are you waiting for?" She said to me "Oh here's a flight. But oh wait it's already sold out or gone" and she would laugh. Finally she found a flight close to where I live. My baggage had got lost from my connecting flight leaving without me. I got all of my luggage 2 days after. My carry on bag that got checked at my gate was in a clear trash bag. I took it out of the bag to find that it was completely trashed. My handles were ripped off which put a huge whole revealing all of my personal items. My carry on bag has only been used once and can never be used again. I unpacked my bag and noticed $300 worth of my stuff was missing. I have called to make many complaints to talk to corporate office but no one would give me the correct number. I will NEVER fly United Airlines again. I am so disappointed."
Pros: "Flight left on time. Arrived in DC 15 minutes early. Did not use entertainment so no comment there but overall I had no complaints."

Cons: "We boarded our plane and during preflight check on the runway the captain learned there was mechanical error (in the right engine fuel something). The issue could not be solved and we had to change planes. On the second plane, the captain shared with travelers that "and two loose wires were found, so it's good we caught that and changed planes". What the heck? Shouldn't basic functions be checked before a plane is boarded? What was supposed to be a 1030 red eye, turned out to be a 1 AM bloodshot eye."
Cons: "I was on a super late flight to Chicago and for some reason was placed in Boarding Group 5 (I have a United cc, so I thought that came with the perks). I got over that part. But then they made me check my roller-board claiming they were full up. When I boarded, there was PLENTY of overhead bin space. So I had to go to baggage claim after midnight for no reason. Bummer."
Cons: "Somehow I ended up with a middle seat all three flights I took. I would have upgraded if offered. Plane wasn't all that comfortable. All and all, you guys got me where I needed to go, so I can't really complain. Thank you"
Pros: "They helped me boarded the next plane when I was late for my trip because of traffic problem."
Cons: "None"
Cons: "We got on board, waited 20 minutes. Capt said it was a bad reverser, and we were waiting on paperwork for 15 minutes. Long story short, they make us leave the plane after 2.5 hours. Then we wait in the airport for another 2.5 hours. I missed my connection and spent 10 hours in Chicago."
