NO Emails, not calls, no messages, no voice mesagges left by the company! -called the client service, located in Philipine apparently, the lady confirms that all our flights were canceled (3), then she hangs off the phone. -called the second time, another lady is rebooking me on a different flight, but she informs me that my husband is not on the same reservation as me, so basically he is in another flight. Eventualy she is changing his reservation as well and puts him on the same flight as me. -waiting for the confirmation email, of course the reservation is just for me, no husband anywere. -called the third time, a nice canadian gentelman informs us that the second flights was canceled so he will redirect us via NJ instead of Washington. -we are rushing to the Richmond airport to catch the NY flight, at the counter they let us know that this flights was canceled and we are back on the DC flight. -when ready to board in the DC flight they are announcing the this flights is delayed from 1:30 pm to 7:30 pm due to weather conditions. -waiting in the line to be rebooked in another flight, after 3 h of waiting they decide they can fly to DC at 4:45 pm, with about 15 people on board."

If you drag your bag to the gate , which slows down boarding, you get it checked for free, if you check it yourself at the counter you get to pay 25$ ... Since older people generally do not want to be carrying luggage up the 'stairs and through the Chicago airport', it means they get to pay extra! I think it is age discrimination that all the airlines are doing. Only the young can fly the cheapest."

During my return trip I ran to make my connecting flight just barely on time and once boarded we sat on the plan for an hour before taking off. Flight to get to Richmond on united was a major problem. I work up with a notification that my flight time had been moved up 2.5 hours ( a problem as I live 2.5 hours away from the airport) I called and they said it was a mistake that I was good to take the origional flight. A few hours later I get a phone call from united asking if I could be at the airport 2.5 hours early. I said unfortunately no because I had already spoken to someone from united and they had reassumed me that the origional flight was still good. She then said if I couldn't make it early it was no problem. So I get to the airport at the origional time after speaking to two different agents who told me this was ok to find the plane delayed and causing me to miss my missed connection."

Cons: "I was in the center bulkhead seat with an very oversized man on the aisle seat with a "service dog". It was not a service dog in the sense that it was all over the place--on my feet and in the aisle where it tripped a stewardess more than once and she told him it couldn't be in the aisle. So it pushed over to my seat because the guy was just to big to share his legroom. It shredded napkins the man dropped which a trained dog would not do. it bounced his tray table up causing him to drop his two vodkas. I had to have the stewardess tell him to move his arm and body out of my seat so I could stow my tray for landing. When waiting for my ride outside the dog was off lease and ran into the pickup lanes where the man had to chase him down. A true service dog would never behave like that."

Cons: "United rerouted us and added another leg to our trip. We never flew Richmond to Denver. We ended up going Richmond -> Chicago -> Denver -> Santa Barbara. This caused us to miss a post-wedding brunch with family that we're only able to see about once every three years. All this after changing our flight out to the east coast the day of the flight (my 8:55pm flight was changed to 5:23pm, and I was notified after 3pm - meaning I had to run out of work early, costing me money, run home to pack, and rush to the airport, only to wait 3 hours for a now delayed flight). The also added another leg to that trip as well (at 3pm, day of). This was a red-eye flight and the last thing we wanted to do was get on and off the plane all night. I will not be flying with United after this trip."

I attempted this to see if it could be done and my head stopped at the top of the seat in front of me. So the travelers safety and comfort have knowingly been compromised for the company's greed"

The wose airline I'd ever used SPIRIT AIRLINE"

Food is all for sale with good sellections but, price is a little high for what you get even on a plane. The biggest problem other than comfort is, the price of checked bag. Even if you buy ahead it will be $80 for a round trip. That washes away any saving then bring a large carry on at $30 go thing a different airline."

Cons: "No free water and the plane was fairly disgusting and they charge for absolutely everything which, in the end, doesn't actually make the flight cheaper for most, I'm guessing. That wasn't the worst of it, however. They forgot to email the passengers the night before to let them know that my flight which was already delayed about two hours required passengers to still get there before 10:30 PM or they would not be able to print a boarding pass. The employee in the office of Laguardia, where I was advised to go, was rude and incompetant, refusing to print a boarding pass for a flight that did not leave for another hour and a half, anyway. Finally, they gave us tickets for the next flight, but it was the next day--over 12 hours later than my original flight. I had to miss work because of this. I was advised originally by the employee at the desk downstairs to call the phone number on the back of the useless kiosk "boarding pass" and, this sent me through over an hour of back and forth between the incompetent phone employees and the incompetent desk worker. The desk worker kept making excuses, saying "TSA is closed anyway," although, when I went up the stairs to TSA, they advised me that they were not closed and just needed the woman at the office to print a boarding pass, which apparently they do all the time. Overall, a terrible experience both ways with a disgusting plane and a majority of useless and rude airport employees. They really do mean it when they say "below average leg room," too. Ended up paying what I would have paid in the end for a much better flight. Never take Spirit Airlines."
