One crew member cut in line at the restroom when there was 3 of us waiting to go. Another told me my husband couldn’t receive his meal because he was napping and then he quickly walked away— Yet i received mine on the flight coming to Australia when my husband asked for me? Sanitation between flights should be more strict-my headphones were opened which lead me to believe my pillow wasn’t changed either, since one had a case and one didn’t."

Pros: "The flight crew was phenomenal, especially Daniella. Somehow we wound up with seats right next to the bathroom door, which would have been a pretty uncomfortable situation for a variety of reasons, but the flight wasn't full, and she helped us find a suitable place to sit. Also, my wife and I usually take our tea with honey vs. milk and sugar. Even though honey is usually one of the options for tea, she found a way to accommodate our request. The lunch meals were the best I can remember in a long time on an airline flight. They might have been the best I've ever had. The chicken curry was authentic, flavorful and spicy. Frankly my outbound flight had problems. My luggage got damaged. The transfer experience in Manchester left a LOT to be desired. I wasn't planning to use Virgin Atlantic again, but this flight crew (Daniella especially) redeemed Virgin Atlantic. They were attentive, pleasant, diligent."
Cons: "Only thing I didn't like about this flight was the boarding area. Once you get into that the area, you don't really have access to appetizing food (only vending machines) or even restrooms. That's one thing that could be improved."
Pros: "Everything about my flights on Virgin Atlantic was amazing. The plane was new and comfortable, the seats seemed to recline more than in other airplane I have been. The entertainment was good with a wide selection of movies and TV shows. The crew was incredibly nice and helpful and I had a really pleasant time talking with them. On the airport team side I can also say they were extremely helpful as I missed my flight and they promptly rebooked me on the next one 3h later, free of charge. I think the stress of missing a flight was completely deflected by the help of the Virgin Atlantic crew at the desk so thank you for that!"

Pros: "I was selected for additional screening at the gate. I have no problem with this at all. From the start I told them I am traveling with my fiancee. They tried to hold me back in a separate area after the screening and I once again told them my fiancee was waiting for me. One staff memeber walked with me half way back to get her and then disappeared. By the time I found her and came back, the staff memeber was no where to be found. Now we had lost are spot in the line and had to go to the back of the line. We spoke to 3 different staff people about what was going on and everyone said, oh the guy over there will help you. But no one did. The staff had No idea how to run a security check or handle paople. There was No working wifi! There was no tvs in the seats, only the old style in the aisle. The staff told me the plan was going to retire at the end of the month. The food was more for animals then for humans! We got updates by txt 10 mins before the staff updated the gate on our flight out from SFO. I have traveled all over the world with a lot of airlines and Never had such a poor service, but what is it to expect. It was United after all!"

Inadequate lighting for,boarding, unable to activate reading lights until AFTER TAKEOFF = groping in semi darkness, BAD! No window blinds = woken up by blazing sun in middle of 11 hr night flight, even with sleeping pills my sleep was wrecked, even with eyemask. Passengers penned in on narrow aisles by trolleys, unable to walk around plane & risk of DVT. Passengers disempowered by restricted space, lighting, mobility. I want more control over my personal mobility &, lighting. Horrible headsets (bring my own). This flight departed 2.5 HRs LATE from JHB & the crew & cavin service was SLOW. NO requested second cup of tea brought - I waited 20 mins & climbed over trolleys to get another one, even though it was requested of cabin crew. Do they just ignore us? Or forget?"

Cons: "I found the seats on this Virgin Atlantic A340 flight from LHR (London Heathrow) to LAX (Los Angeles), an eleven hour flight, to be unacceptable. The seats were very crowded. I am six feet tall, and was very uncomfortable all during the flight. I could not sit with my knees together. I had to spread my knees to sit comfortably. Holding that position for eleven hours was very uncomfortable. Anyone taller than me would have even more trouble. Also, every seat has a very large box underneath, I presume for the audio/video system. This is a terrible location. There is very little room to stow anything. But much worse, I couldn't straighten my right leg. All-in-all, I found the seat situation totally unacceptable. I will likely never fly Virgin Atlantic again because of this."
Cons: "My ticket was cancelled at the time I was standing in front of the airline counter to check my bag. I was so furious. The airline did not help me at ALL. In fact, they offer me to buy a brand new ticket at a new price!!!!!! I ended up re-bought the ticket from United airline as my husband has United card (chase) and we ended up paying over 1900 for the ticket that should have been about $911. The priceline number is not helping. I have trip insurance but no. nothing worked. I will never fly Virgin Atlantic again."

Pros: "The flight started with a visit in the recently renovated KLM crown lounge in Amsterdam airport. I liked the various seating options and of course the upstairs bar. The service on board was attentive and efficient, the food options I really liked (especially the Chinese dish) but also the little touches like the nuts & gouda cheese which were served in small porcelain bowls. The seat itself was very comfortable when sitting and the structure gives a lot of privacy. However for couples or friends travelling it's a bit cumbersome to have a conversation even when sitting in seats next to each other. Overall my expectations were fulfilled."
Cons: "This seat is not ideal for sleeping for taller persons (I'm 185cm tall) as the space to put the feet is very narrow and it's uncomfortable when lying on the back (as one cannot put them in the natural resting position). Cabin temperature could have been a bit lower for my taste. Crew needs better training with regards to transfer procedure in Chengdu."

When they arrived on Amsterdam Netherlands Airport they were dropped to the gate assigned first and once the gate changed on the fly no body came to help them moving to the new gate assigned which was far away to walk. Nobody even came to tell them that the gate has been changed. It was because of my father's alertness they didn't miss the connecting flight and when my father asked help to members on airport none of them helped my parents and other 4 co passengers which also were on wheel chairs. It was so scary experience for them that they asked me not to book any more flights with Jet Airways. I won't recommend Jet Airways to any of my friends for their parents to travel to USA. I strongly recommend you guys to take a strict action against this. This is so unacceptable."

Being given a 10 Euro voucher for food at the airport when most food and a drink will cost you 12 to 15 euros."

The worst part was when a female flight attendant wouldn't move her feet over a few inches while sitting in her chair, so that I (a pregnant woman) could use the closest bathroom to my seat in the back cabin. I had to ask her twice and both times she confirmed "She was on her break and would not move her feet" so that I could use the bathroom. Also note, the seatbelt sign was off but that wasn't even her excuse. The bathrooms were dirty and the toilet seats need to be replaced to be asked to sit on those is degrading!"

This was my second transatlantic flight with Aer Lingus - booked 6 months in advance- where I was assigned a seat in a row in the back, row 43 and row 46 - definitely not my preference for seating."

There seems to be a disconnect / confusion between airline and booking company regarding this matter."

Cons: "Upon arriving in Iceland 3 hours late, when asked what we needed to do about our connecting flights and were told to check with the airline's service desk. They didn't bother letting those of us continuing on to Glasgow know we needn't disembark since the plane we were on was the aircraft for that flight. Every passenger disembarked and then had to be paged. That connecting flight was to have left over 3 hours before and yet no one could tell us why the schedule had the connecting flight still listed as "Final Call." We were paged and then told we had to run to catch the plane. We literally sprinted through the terminal. The attendant who scanned our boarding passes was just this side of rude. And everyone on the airplane was mad at us. The flight attendants wouldn't even answer our call button when we needed to ask a question about the UK Landing Form. The flight was already delayed. Had the airlines made any effort to be helpful or attend to their customers needs, they would have announced we needn't leave the aircraft. Worse flight I've been on. I wish I hadn't already paid for or I'd not take the return flights home."

The airline stewardess kept running into me without acknowledging that she did, even though I wasn't in the aisle. This happened three or four times. I tried to ask her to stop and she didn't seem to hear me. The sound for my seat's audio entertainment system didn't work. It didn't work for my brother who was sitting next to me. They did not serve complimentary snacks or a meal for a 7.5 hour flight that started at 4:30pm."

Glasgow airport staff fantastic - a lady staff member noticed my daughter and I were loaded down with luggage (daughter had her and toddler son's things in two big stow cases and some carry-ons since moving there for at least 1 year) and had a stroller and busy toddler to get from baggage claim to taxi area. She was an angel and got a luggage trolley, loaded it and even took the trolley to the taxi area while daughter and I took stroller, toddler and a couple carry ons."

Cons: "There was no way to reserve seats for the flight. I made our reservations eight months in advance and there was no way via kayak or Icelandair to choose seats. When we tried calling the airline, they told us we needed to call back 36 hours before the flight. When we called 36 hours before the flight they told us all of the seats were alr day taken and we needed to speak to the agent when we checked in. When we were given seat assignments at checkin and asked why we'd had no input into the seat selection, they said we should have called in advance. It was really frustrating, especially because we ended up in th back of the plane. I was in a middle seat, winch don't have any space for a bag under the seats in front of them. Then there were no meals served on the overnight flight. I bought a small salad for 12 euros. I have never in my life taken an overnight flight where they don't serve at least dinner, if not both dinner and breakfast. The flight was on time and the attendants were friendly, but I wasn't terribly impressed otherwise."

After another 60 minutes on hold IcelandAir said there was nothing they could do except rebook us on a new ticket. $2000 later we finally got to go on our honeymoon. Long story short we had to buy all new tickets. JustFly.com only refunded $200 of our original ticket cost after assessing numerous cancellation fees (over $700 in cancel fees). We won't be booming JustFly again. Happy Honeymoon to us, once we finally got there."

Upon arrival the flight that was due to leave in 45 minutes (if on schedule), wasn't even shown on the board, causing panic and confusion. When we did learn that the flight was delayed and it showed up on the departure board, we settled in for a long wait. As what should have been boarding time arrived, no announcements were made, and we ended up queuing for almost an hour before the flight finally departed 30 minutes later than the delayed time. Biggest gripe? No announcements were made acknowledging the delay, providing realistic expectations, or giving us updates regarding new departure times."

First it took a long time for the bus to reach the waiting area where there were no seats for people to sit. Then the flight itself was delayed because they were waiting for another plane with connecting passengers from New York. There was a lot of sitting on the tarmac and we were delayed getting to our final destination. This is also the first transatlantic flight I have taken with any Airline where there was not at least one complimentary meal on board. Apparently they are reserving that now only for economy Comfort class and up."
Cons: "My flight from ORD to Reykjavik was delayed and so I missed my connection to Glasgow. I was rerouted to Amsterdam and got to Glasgow 7 hours after my original flight. Needless to say my luggage did not make it to Glasgow. I arrived in Glasgow on June 14th and did not receive my luggage until the evening of June 17th only because I went to the airport to pick it up myself instead of waiting for it to be delivered on the 18th. Four days of my 12 days of vacation were spent on the phone tracking down my luggage and worrying about whether I'd ever see it again."

The airline staff helped me store these items in a closet without hesitation; and even checked back in with me upon landing to ensure that I wouldn't forget them while exiting the aircraft."

There were no gate assignments posted when we landed until 30 minutes out while we were running back to E gates. There is no excuse for that, except we didn't know til the last minute where we were supposed to go after asking 2 people. Why the second check for security after the states on connecting flights? Seating chart should indicate where the metal boxes are that affect leg room in certain seats so those with a disability aren't seated there."

The pilot drove a smooth flight and we all arrived safely."

There are few places to keep your phone charged, the only stores there are extremely high priced like Tiffany's and Prada.
