My flight was delayed by 4 hours in 30 minute increments. The gate agents were amazing but the communication was not. We were told that there was a maintenance issue but they didn't know what it was. That didn't inspire confidence. Then they said they found it and it was fixed and the pilot just needed to sign off. Then the pilot needed to talk to the other pilot from the arriving flight and we'd be fine. Then we were waiting for the pilot to call back. Then the maintenance issue wasn't fixed. Then they decided we were getting a new plane (why didn't they decide this earlier??). Fine. But then they announced we were changing gates AND terminals. And we were boarding in 20 minutes. So we all had to run to the new terminal gate. We could have taken off at that time, but we then had to wait for all the people who rebooked on a different flight to book this flight again. That took 30+ minutes because there was only one gate agent. When everyone ditched this flight, I saw it as an opportunity to upgrade to comfort. Delta, the greedy jerks they are, charged me $121. After their delay, their fault, their issues, couldn't even discount an upgrade. They only handed out $12 meal vouchers for the delay. I can't even get a snack from starbucks for that.
Love me some Delta. One of the few airlines to recognize and support veterans. Easy boarding, flight was on time and arrived early and the flight attendants were excellent on this flight.
We sat on the runway for over an hour before departure. That was unwelcome.
The Boarding process was great. Particularly since my wife and I require assistance. The flight attendants were amazing. We travel frequently; they honestly were a cut above. 😀
Crew was nice, meal was good. Entertainment had to be rebooted 3 times and still did not work. Turns out there was residue on screen, it needed to be cleaned to prevent the touchscreen buttons from continuously activating. I had entertainment for the last 45 minutes of a 5 hour 45 minute flight. Really unacceptable for first class. Flight attendent indicated your cleaning solution creates this problem. Seems as if this is widely known, you should be using a different product or cleaning better. Really really disappointing which simply added to the wi fi on your planes with reliably never ever works.
Snacks and included beverages were appreciated. Boarding went smoothly. Plenty of overhead bin space. Seats get very uncomfortable after a couple of hours. After waiting 10 painful minutes for my walker, a very nice Delta guest agent pushed me in a wheelchair to the gate. It was finally delivered to me after another 15 minutes . Our checked bag was on the carousel long b4 I was able to retrieve it. Fortunately it was still there but somewhere along the way the straps we used to secure it were removed and and were not reattached. Wish I had made note of the agents name.
It was fine. 55 minute flight. No snacks or beverage service offered. Boarding went smoothly and my walker was waiting for me on the jet way.
The cabin temperature was nice and cool. The wifi was not working.
Could not get my connecting flight boarding pass until four hrs before departure! Ver annoying especially since the staff could not explain why!
Terrible experience delays going there and delays coming back will not be flying delta
For some reason pretty much all zones were called almost one after the other and we all ended up standing without moving for what seemed like a long time. Definitely not WestJet’s fault. Likely the guys in hiviz vests at boarding desk. The big problem was zero explanation. If there is a good reason for something people will understand. As a consequence of this delay flight was quite late leaving. Zero entertainment on board. I’m a Rewards member but was unable to connect to the Wifi. First world problems, I know. Flight was otherwise excellent.
The crew was excellent. The turbulence was very bad and they were unable to serve our dinner. The captain informed the passengers that we were going to get water and snack instead. They provided us ample snacks instead. Otherwise the trip was good.
Delayed but they wouldn’t tell us tell after boarding was scheduled to start. So it’s like we know it’s delayed why won’t they say anything?? How long? The. We ended up sitting on the tarmac for 2 hours before they finally cancelled the flight. Bad!
It wasn’t bad but I swear their planes keep getting smaller and cramped so it was uncomfortable for such a long time. Also the food is just okay they need some different options
Friendly helpful crew but that did not make up for cramped, uncomfortable seating. Anyone over 5.5 feet and 150lbs is going to feel crammed into the tiny space they have allotted for seating unless you are a special rewards customer, then you get the properly human size seats. With the outrageous price of flying these days, even in economy, the very least they can do is provide you with a comfortable seating experience. Especially since if there is any kind of delay on the ground you're likely to be stuck there even longer than your scheduled flight time.
Check in through Kayak is IMPOSSIBLE due to the fact that Kayak & the airline of your choosing have different confirmation and reservation codes. You have to call the airline to find your actual information. My brand new KOBO Libra Colour 2 was destroyed somewhere in the security line. When I put it in the bin it was fine, and when I received it back, the screen was destroyed. Awesome. The boarding was a nightmare as people rushed to the gates prior the their boarding zones. I was seated between a father daughter duo who when I suggested I move to either side so they aren’t separated they said “no, we chose this on purpose.” They proceeded to talk over me, pass things over me, use my foot space, and lean on both sides. When we landed, the father was one of the first up, even though we were in the middle/back area. He then rushes his daughter to the point she quite literally clammers over me so they can push through people. The food was off putting: spinach & ricotta in a red sauce is a weird choice. The bun was fine. Tony’s chocolates were a great choice, though. The first flight was terrible. The second flight was much better. I was in a state after the first flight, and two of the flight attendants did a great job supporting the intense nausea I was suffering from by providing a large bag of ice and multiple ginger ales.
Scrooge airlines spoiled my last chance at Christmas with my 95 and 92 year old folks. and rest of the family in Calgary. Ticket personnel would not let me on without a passport and I always visit Canada with my enhanced driver;s License when I travel from the US
Westjet is the worst airline in the world, they are absolutely terrible, there are to many things that happened that I can't explain in this message, I would like to talk to someone about my ordeal. I am partial handicapped and that I can only walk a short distance, I calculated how far I walked and it was more than a kilometer, the pain is so bad today I have to go to my docor, they told me there was nobody available to take me to my gate, this is just one instance. This is not finished yet, I need to contact westjet and let them know about my trip from hell
Really impressed. Organised boarding arrangements, nice new plane with decent seats. Professional yet humorous cabin crew. Nice meal and snack service, all really impressive.
They lost our luggage and didn’t return it until 15 days AFTER we got back.
All good……but luggage didn’t make it on the airplane. Had to wait 3 days. Was a bummer.
Small suitcase used for carryon the last time was refused by boarding crew this time. Appears to be at the discretion and mood of the person on the day. Flight was only half booked, there would have been no problem with space.
everything was fine. but paying for 1 piece of check-in luggage and denying passengers to board with carry-on luggage which by air line's standards does not fit is not acceptable. when one travels for a longer time one needs to have some essentials
Old, noisy plane, bad coffee, delayed. Flight attendant was very nice.
My flight was cancelled. The flight they booked me on was delayed over 2 hours with mechanical problems so I missed my connection and they ran out of hotel rooms, so I had to book and pay for it on my own. I also had to pay for food out of pocket. It was a terrible experience.
Was surprised the plane was a turbo prop. These are much noisier than jet planes.
Plus; Easy check in. Organized and efficient crew. Minus; Legroom on plane. Wiped down armrests and tray table with a Clorox wipe and wipe showed more dirt than I thought was there.
An hour and a half late. Seats as always ridiculously cramped. Beverage options limited. Stale pretzels. The usual…
We had a significant illness at the last minute. Air Canada was unsympathetic and rude and refused to give us any credit on our unused ticket.
Ran wonderfully and smoothly roundtrip. Could not have asked for more from the staff.
