The incoming flight was two hours late, so the departure was late. Our arrival in Paris was late. We made the flight, but our luggage didn't. Our return flight from Paris to Dulles was half an hour late because of people from connecting flights. We arrived about 30 minutes late, but no big deal (unless you had a connection)"

Cons: "We left DC late because of Delta's inefficient boarding process. We landed in Atlanta late. Our flight to Sioux Falls left early, without us. My pregnant wife and I made it to the gate 4 minutes before the scheduled departure and they told us the plane was already gone and there was no way for us to get on the plane. Our bags did make it to Sioux Falls, so my wife didn't have her prenatal vitamins, , we had no clean clothes and we were forced to spend the night in Atlanta. The saddest part of yet another terrible experience with Delta was that they offered us a "discounted" room at a terrible Howard Johnson for $72. I looked online and the same hotel was $65 to book on Kayak. So basically Delta was trying to scam us after they screwed us. Thanks Delta! Instead we paid $200+ to stay at an airport hotel. Every time I fly Delta I regret it, yet occasionally I get forced to take their awful airline to get somewhere I need to go. It never fails to add another bad Delta experience to my long list of failings from this SAD!!! airline."

I slept in the airport because i couldnt find a hotel to spend the night close to the airport. They were all full and i had no time to find one since I was waiting there for 3 hours with no informational. I slept on the floor and delta didnt even offer us a blanket. That was my worst trip ever."

Also another inch or 2 was taken by person in front of me putting their seat back. With such restrictive space why is this even possible??? There was also apparently an issue with the auxiliary power -- the lights went out in back half of plane when we arrived at gate. I prefer having a screen behind each seat, rather than those attached to ceiling on this flight, so that the entertainment can be customized."

Another problem - which is probably related to Heathrow airport and outside of the crew's control - was that the staff at the airport rushed us tremendously during boarding, saying that the flight would close half an hour in advance. I had never seen boarding close that early and it was very frustrating, because the boarding then took a very long time, since they searched us for no reason, and our flight ended up taking off 30 minutes late! As passengers, we felt very rushed, it seems, for no reason."

The discount worked out to be 6 dollars. Not a pleasant experience."

Lastly, they overbooked the flight by TEN people. TEN."

Cons: "There was a lack of information the whole trip. We couldn't hear the announcements of the crew or pilot so we didn't know what was going on. When. The landing gear malfunctioned it took a very long time to hear what was going on. Then, upon deplaning, there was only one single gate agent waiting to help the flight. Very poor service!"
Cons: "Alerted Flight Attendant and Gate Agent and United at 31,000 feet that there was toxic black mold in the plane and I was choking. Advised Customer Service at ORD and they handed me a brochure to call 1-800."

After 3 weeks, he was stable enough to come back to Houston on an air ambulance. As I travelled with him on the air ambulance, I was unable to use the return portion of my round-trip ticket. I provided documentation of the situation and requested a refund. I received $106 on a $715 ticket. There was no explanation of how they determined the refund, but I'm not happy."

Was not given a a boarding pass for second portion of my flight. 4. Seats don't lean back so was not able to rest very well. 5. Bright floresecent lights inside plane unpleasant and also made it difficult to rest. 6. Certain staff were short and unfriendly."

Cons: "You get what you pay for. These were the most uncomfortabe seats I've ever flown on. Basically a piece of plastic with a vinyl cover and essentially no padding. The flight was half empty so after the fasten seatbelt sign went off I moved forward to the comfortable seats (there were 10 of them and only 3 were occupied). The stewardess told me I had to go back and sit on the ballpark seats. My back is killing me as a result. Also, at check in there was a long line. I asked an attendant if I could use the boarding pass machine, which for some reason are located in the front of the baggage check line. He told me I had to wait in line even if I wasn't checking a bag. After a half an hour I was concerned I might miss my flight so I asked a different attendant if I could jut go up and use the boarding pass machine since I wasn't checking bags and he told me no problem. This was at the BWI airport. I'm not sure if Spirit boarding pass machines at other airports are so oddly located, since most other airlines have machines located in a place one can can get to without having to wait in the baggage check line even when you're ot checking bags. The stewardess was on the grumpy side - waiting to depart I had closed my eyes and she told me I had to stay awake for her flight safety talk, which would have been fine, but she didn't give the talk for a nother 20 minutes."

There was nowhere to plug into power so my iPhone (a backup for movies) died hours before we landed. Lastly, I was called to help assist a passenger who had fainted (I'm a doctor) and was offered nothing in return for my help. Not even a soda. I didn't offer to help in hopes of "free stuff," but the other airlines I have flown with have offered me a drink, some food, or even $ off my next flight as a thank you for my medical services."

Staff wasn't interactive/friendly I'd say 6/10 were nice. Asked for an isle seat the person helping at counter, said I'd have to pay to upgrade. Seriously- upgrade for isle seat!! I paid to have an isle seat on all 4 flights(I'm a disabled vet who was injured in the line of duty) I need easy access to toilets I'm unable to crawl over people, in turn need idle seat). Paid for isle seat all 4 flights- just to see the flights were super empty, people were sitting where they wanted anyway. Thanks for taking my $ for the seats tho spirit:-|. Staff wasn't that friendly compared to other airlines I've flown on. Not food. No entertainment on flight. Not worth it. If they don't do better business they won't last long I feel. There is potential just needs some work!"
Cons: "I was asked to change my seat from 29A to 3E to accommodate a family who wanted to sit together. I was told that 3E was a better seat. 3E turned out to be a nightmare. A row away was a child who screamed for 75% of the flight but that wasn't the worst part. 3E was situated between a man and a woman who must have weighed 450 pounds! I literally had half of a seat for the entire flight. I really feel that I should be reimbursed because of how uncomfortable I was forced to fly for the entire flight. A person of that size should not be squeezed into a row of three seats."

Cons: "The hidden add-ons -- from seat selection ($23 for an exit row), food/ beverages, to luggage ($42 for a check-in bag; $100 at the gate for carry-on) -- off-sets any savings you might have thought you were making with a booking here versus a larger commercial airline. Two other problems: the security lines are much much longer than those in united (it's worth paying extra to bypass these), and be prepared for baggage delays. We waited 1 hour for our checked luggage to arrive !"

Cons: "Terrible service. This plane was delayed 2 hours due to maintenance. Come to find out the flight was cancelled, 20 minutes prior to boarding. After disgruntled customers tried to rebook, Spirit informed us that they would not be able to rebook until 3 days than original departure. Eventually, I asked the right questions to get a flight the next day on Spirits dime, but even that took 6 hours of riddle games."
Cons: "Being charged for every little thing from carryon, to choosing seat, no complimentary water or snacks, get advised that when we called to complain that we may be billed for the call. Rude stewardesses. Turbulence the entire ride, 80% of the ride we had to keep seat belts on, left an hour late for no reason. Will never fly spirit again. Steer clear. I hope they go out of business. Take your business elsewhere!"
Cons: "The email Spirit sent to my phone after I checked in from that device contained my boarding pass, but only after waiting for 40 minutes in the security line was I informed that Spirit's electronic passes cannot be read by TSA screening systems. That should be fixed, and in the meantime, a very clear warning to passengers about this flaw should preceded access to the electronic boarding pass in an email."

I had a piece of luggage the same size that would have fit there but was charged $50.00 on the outbound and then on the inbound flight again. People have already asked me about my fight and I have told them the same thing thing I used as a header for this comment...next time I will spend the additional $100.00 and have at least some comfort. I understand bare bones, but it can be bare bones and have some comfort. I am just glad my flight was only 2 hours long which is another thing I don't understand. I have flown that trip many times and every other flight is about an hour and 30/40 minutes long. If anyone asks me I will tell them the same thing...the crew was ok but not accomodating at all..I guess you get what you pay for."
