Cons: I paid $70 for a seat upgrade, and it showed on my boarding pass as “EXIT” (exit aisle) with 6 inches of extra legroom when I purchased the upgrade in London. By the time I arrived in Dallas, the “EXIT” indicator on my boarding pass disappeared. When I boarded the plane there was no extra legroom and row 16 was not an exit row: rows 14 and 15 were. Pros: Everything that happened before the FIRST time we boarded the flight and when we finally landed in LA. The movie selection was pretty good since I couldn’t sleep on the flight and it calmed me down. The flight that was originally 7 hours turned into 5

Cons: What Irritated me the most about this whole experience was that they waited until everyone had boarded and seated to find a maintenance problem. Credit to them for finding it before takeoff but it should’ve been caught before the plane even left the hangar or when the plane last landed. They said this would be a 15-20 min fix. This was an 8pm flight. 800 became 830, then 9. By 9:00, same problem and I start to wonder if we should switch planes. By 10, they finally tell us that we have to deplane and go to Gate 37 which is on the other side of the terminal. On the way out the flight attendant tells us that we have to hurry up to the other gate because we have to be there by 10:25 to board. I almost wanted to punch him. So we’re there. 10:25 comes and I see the screen turn to 10:40. Around 11, the announcement comes that they’re transferring the food from the other plane to our new plane which further delayed everything. As some kind of compensation, theyleft buckets of snacks and drinks for us prior to boarding as we finally boarded. Finally took off at 12:30. I was so irritated I couldn’t rest on the flight.

By 10, they finally tell us that we have to deplane and go to Gate 37 which is on the other side of the terminal. On the way out the flight attendant tells us that we have to hurry up to the other gate because we have to be there by 10:25 to board. I almost wanted to punch him. So we’re there. 10:25 comes and I see the screen turn to 10:40. Around 11, the announcement comes that they’re transferring the food from the other plane to our new plane which further delayed everything. As some kind of compensation, theyleft buckets of snacks and drinks for us prior to boarding as we finally boarded. Finally took off at 12:30. I was so irritated I couldn’t rest on the flight.

Cons: Traveling during the holidays is never fun and a flight with American International doesn’t make it any better. No personal entertainment system on board, no place to charge a phone, an overnight flight with lights on bright enough to read by and a seat clearance of about 1cm.

Cons: Although British Airways and American Airlines are alliance partner companies, their systems don’t behave as such. It took me too many attempts to mention in order to simply upgrade my seat. The booking locator number is different for both airlines, and no one ever informed me of that critical information

Pros: Everything that happened before the FIRST time we boarded the flight and when we finally landed in LA. The movie selection was pretty good since I couldn’t sleep on the flight and it calmed me down. The flight that was originally 7 hours turned into 5

Cons: What Irritated me the most about this whole experience was that they waited until everyone had boarded and seated to find a maintenance problem. Credit to them for finding it before takeoff but it should’ve been caught before the plane even left the hangar or when the plane last landed. They said this would be a 15-20 min fix. This was an 8pm flight. 800 became 830, then 9. By 9:00, same problem and I start to wonder if we should switch planes. By 10, they finally tell us that we have to deplane and go to Gate 37 which is on the other side of the terminal. On the way out the flight attendant tells us that we have to hurry up to the other gate because we have to be there by 10:25 to board. I almost wanted to punch him. So we’re there. 10:25 comes and I see the screen turn to 10:40. Around 11, the announcement comes that they’re transferring the food from the other plane to our new plane which further delayed everything. As some kind of compensation, theyleft buckets of snacks and drinks for us prior to boarding as we finally boarded. Finally took off at 12:30. I was so irritated I couldn’t rest on the flight.

Pros: Price, entertainment, direct flight

Cons: Plane left because pilot was late, little to no legroom for a 6"2 person. Boarding procedure is a joke. Instead of their group system the plane should be boarded from the back. By the time group 8 comes on board there is no room in the overhead bins.
