Pros: Seating was Ok
Cons: The plane was dirty. There was still trash from the previous flight everywhere. The onboard Stuart’s were not up to par. There was no entertainment and the WiFi was horrible.
Cons: Seat choice flexibility, but it was basic economy...
Pros: Nothing stands out
Cons: Plane also delayed
Cons: We had to wait for an hour on the runway until we could approach the gate
Cons: Seat 33A. The audio output was bad. Could not clearly hear dialog. Restarting did not help, this issue as consistent got all media programs.
Cons: Honoring their flight schedules....I had two cancellations back to back trying to get to Montgomery, AL. I finally canceled my American flight and flew with Delta. Delta delivered flawlessly.
Cons: Flight was delayed 3 hours
Pros: They weee calm dealing with angry passengers.
Cons: Leave on time. Nearly 3 hours late. Horrible.
Pros: The flight crew were very good.
Cons: We arrived late in Dallas, due to weather. Our flight to LA had already locked the door, the lady working the desk when we got there, said we had missed the flight and walked off. Two more ladies came to the counter, but would not help us, finally a fourth lady came and helped us.
Pros: Wonderful Crew
Pros: Everything was great
Cons: Poor they lost my luggage. They did not allowed me to take my suitcas whit me because the plan was too small. I never travel again whit amercan airlines
Pros: Service was good
Cons: No TVs. We were set to be 20 minutes early because of the wind, yet they still made sure we got to the gate later than the original flight time.
Pros: The staff was fantastic
Cons: Well my flight got delayed four separate times. I was stuck in LAX for 3 hours. So much that booked another flight with another airline for the following morning. I had to book a hotel nearby LAX just so I could somewhere to sleep for the night. My luggage made it to Chicago safely, but I didn’t at least not with American Airlines. It took them an hour to tell us that they reassigned the pilot to another flight, not only that when it was delayed the first initial time (40 minute delay) about ten minutes before we were supposed to board they tell us that the flight attendant crew is going to take 30 minutes to get to the gate. Not only but those poor airline service staff were completely unaware of all these changes! They had to find out from the passengers what was going on. Honestly I will never fly with American Airlines ever again!!!
Pros: We left 25 minutes later, but arrived 25 minutes early!! I hVe flown many times and that has never happened!!
Cons: Cabin temperature was probably 60 degrees. Could understand if we left a 90 degree city. But not on an early morning flight with 70 degree ambient temps when we took off. I’ve been warmer in mid January flights from Chicago.
Cons: 3 boarding doors less than 50 feet apart with departures leaving within 15 min of each other created a difficult to penetrate gaggle.
Pros: Great seats in first class
Cons: Customer service was AWFUL after our flight was delayed from Nashville to Dallas causing us to miss our connecting flight to Bozeman. I will definitely NOT be coming back to American Airlines after that experience.
Pros: The crew did try to make us feel comfortable considering the air challenges
Cons: The aircraft was extremely hot and it took a extraordinary long time to resolve the issue. Dont understand why the aircraft was not checked prior to the flight so alternate plans could be made. Upon connecting the crew in the terminal and at the gate was not very accommodating. Very disappointed with American airlines and this experience
Cons: Flight was delayed due to poor maintenance that caused issues before take off. Of course safety is important but that is why maintenance should be done routinely and prioritised accordingly. The pilot on the first delayed flight (new airplane) was clueless, his exact words "... our analysis team from midwest needs an hour to figure out whether we can fly or not" This is after we have boarded the flight. Then after about an hour of sitting in the plane, he says "rumor has it that a new plane will be towed in..." What? Why didn't they stop boarding and just get the new plane in. And I don't appreciate the emails saying flight is delayed without giving any reason for it. AA could have certainly done a better job of communicating the issue. Further the flight crew including the pilot were acting like victims. If it were an Asian carrier like Singapore Airlines, the crew would be smiling and providing assitance courteously since they represent the airlines. Not flying them again.
Pros: The crew was excellent and most of the counter staff was good except for the one in Dallas. Actually flew on JAL partner AA
Cons: Delay out of Wichita and another delay out of Dallas, got into Tokyo 3 hours late. Paid $167 for upgrade to economy plus but seat assignment was in economy
Pros: AA got me home safe.
Cons: Entertainment was nonexistant. Most movies were unavailable and those that were would start and then say “no longer available” monitor did not work. I was not the only passenger with issues. Many could not get system to work. Antiquated and/or poorly maintained. Also, announcement made it seem as if you had to pay for wine/beer/spirits. I wasn’t drinking so it didnt matter but at other times this would have been a hassle. Never had this on an international flight. Flight was okay just not top drawer like it used to be. Cost cutting measures have impacted the brand. Would not say it is first tier. Dont mind a “no frills” flight if it results in lower cost to consumer (aka Southwest Airlines)
Cons: 80 minute delay
Pros: Staff was great
Cons: The in flight crew did not even attend the passenger properly or even did not satisfy the passengers with food what they supposed to deserve. I ultimately rate it poor airways and wish not to travel with BA.
Cons: Never got to take flight. Concerned now that I will lose EQM, EQD from flight because AA rebooked me on DL. Also, original flight was in F. AA rebooked in DL in economy all the way. So I paid F fare for economy flight.
Pros: Great fight ! The ground crew in Miami were so helpful
Cons: Seating is a bit cramped.
Pros: Flight left and arrived on time Crew was very friendly Free movies while in flight is always nice Mobile boarding pass - every airline should have them (but they don't)
Cons: Having to pay $35 for a little extra leg room
Pros: The flight was smooth.
Cons: The crew announced we would not receive beverage service without a reason. Also there was very little air coming from the vents, so not to receive a cold beverage on a hot airplane for a 72 minute flight (should've been 52 minutes; however we were delayed on tarmac) is not logical.
Pros: Empty seats around me
Cons: Flight attendants weren't the most friendly. Screen in seat didn't work.
Cons: Flight was overbooked
Pros: The crews were very kind to young people.
Cons: AA used a ground hold in ICT. Was told connection to Flint would not be a problem. When I got off of plane in Chicago the flight Flint had already pushed back. Could either wait for the next Flint flight that would get in at about midnight and risk not having a rental car or take an earlier flight to Detroit and pay $85 for dropping rental car off at Flint.
Pros: Left on time from LAX
Cons: We booked for British Airways since we have good experience with them before but this is "operated by American Airlines" - not sure why they just don't say American Airlines when booking. It's deceiving!!!
Pros: Their customer service sucks.
Cons: Their customer service sucks.
Pros: The professionalism of the pilots in handling the extremely rough weather during the flight
Cons: The meal of a turkey sandwich on dry bread was forgettable . They are co - shared with Qantas and could learn a lot about providing a decent meal on a long expensive flight
Pros: Free military upgrade was awesome. Thank you AA. In flight entertainment was good because it was free. And thank you for the USB outlet, now if you could just do that for ALL domestic flights i would never fly anything other than AA. Also, my connection was late and AA held the flight for me and 11 others to our final destination to Honolulu. Thank you American Airlines.
Cons: Some of the flight crew were awesome, and some reminded me of my 3rd grade teacher. Overall good but not great. Nothing to really complain about though.
Cons: This was not my original return flight. I was seated in the middle and plane was very warm.
Cons: i decided to purchase a separate direct flight at a different time instead of changing my flight, only to be informed later when i tried to hop on the back end of my original flight, that they had canceled my ticket since i hadnt boarded on the front end of that flight. i had spoken to a customer service rep about my option before purchasing the extra ticket, and she did not mention that this would be an issue. then i had to pay extra to get back on my original flight.
Pros: Very affordable! Traveling can be difficult, especially from Chicago O'hare - one of the busiest airports in the country - but everything was made easy for me and was a breeze!
Cons: No complaints here!
Cons: Seat reassignment
Cons: The flight was continuously delayed and ultimately cancelled. There weren't a lot of connecting flights until much later the next day, and the customer service was fair at best.
Pros: Crew very pleasant
Cons: Better comfort, cushions were hard
Pros: The middle seat was vacant which is good.
Cons: At the moment I feel that every establishment that’s out serving people are doing the best they can in this covid situation.
Pros: the crew
Pros: The crew was responsive and very friendly.
Pros: I was asleep.
Cons: The seats were very cramped.
Pros: Weather delays and the Boeing 737 problems a little out of their control. Some things could have done better, but some good employee efforts.
Cons: Small planes are subpar.. Food useless. Baggage fees. When things go bad you're on your own.
Pros: Crew was superior. Helped switch seats and get to my transfer on time
Cons: Not have a two hour delay because a passenger had a nose bleed!!
Cons: Food was horrible. I actually heard one passenger say jaill food was better Few members of crew were excellent as for others were completely opposite
Cons: United Airlines in our experience runs late putting a lot of pressure on any ongoing connections . Not clean . Staff not friendly . Only sometimes helpful.
Pros: Nice & quick! Made me feel safe even though it was icy!
Cons: Nothing really.
Cons: The seats to close ,tv did not work
Pros: Boarding, no surprises, flight: comfortable take off, flight, landing, coffee, on-time, carry-on baggage
Cons: WiFi didn’t work at all (had it connected but it was too slow)
Pros: Aircrew great along with gate agents.
Cons: First class flying is gone. No lounge access in the US. No meal (boarding at 1720 and arriving 2100) Beverage service the same in front as in back. Need to go back to Asia to get what you pay for.
Pros: Captain told the truth.
Cons: UA should have had a backup plan rather than waiting.
Cons: Rebooking through united was a nightmare
Pros: We were on time and the flights were excellent. Liked the way the pilot and the crew interacted. Appreciated the humor when the groundcrew was late parking us.
Pros: Crew was very pleasant and worked well together.
Cons: Small delay before takeoff.
Pros: Landed safely. The stewardess was very nice and engaging.
Cons: My plane took off late from Wichita, and missed departure to LA in Denver by five minutes. Despite their being several of us, they didn't hold the plane. It's 7:39 before I'm guaranteed a make up flight because I'm told by customer service that united flies fewer flights during holidays periods despite being the busiest season of the year. United did nothing to make up for the night with family they have taken from me on vacation.
Pros: Staff were very polite and courteous. Friendly and kind. The flight was on time and smooth. I really enjoyed my time and the stewardesses were awesome.
Cons: I really don't have any response to this question. I didn't have any food or entertainment due to my choice so I really appreciate the crews overall performance.
Pros: It was a new plane. Plenty of leg room and comfortable seats.
Cons: Arrived a little early and had to sit at gate before deplaning
Pros: At all points in the process from check-in to exiting the plan, the staff was quick to step in and help with direction to keep everyone moving.
Cons: A teacher was put into tears at the gate agent desk prior to boarding because she had a purse and a shopping bag but had a ticket that only allowed one bag that could not be a full roller board. I did see her eventually board wiping her tears away with a single bag, so she either paid the extra $50 or they figured something out.
Pros: flight attendants were outstanding and very nice. Pilot was great as well and even thought we were delayed in Houston for a fuel sensor for 45 mins. He was still able to get us into Pittsburgh at a decent time. Was very happy with this flight.
Cons: needed more leg room.
Cons: it took them forever to board the plane
Cons: Very late.
Pros: The crew was awesome!!!! You did a great job
Pros: The flight was fine. No issues at all
Cons: My experience would be fine except when I went through security and they checked my luggage, they opened my suitcase in front of everyone and riffled through my clothes out in the open. I don't care that they needed to go through my bag, I care that there was no concern for privacy.
Pros: I was pleased to get in early.
Cons: Seats are too small to be comfortable.
Cons: Paying for entertainment and WiFi. Wasn't allowed on this particular flight. Had to fly to San Francisco, then Seattle overnight
Cons: The flight was changed and resulted in the person I traveled with and myself being separated by 10 rows instead of sitting with each other.
Cons: I selected my seats day I purchase. I didn't get the seats I had selected. I prechek in online. I ended up the very back in a single row against the toilet which made me throw up 3 times. I don't get sick on flights. But the smell was so bad!,
Pros: We were delayed coming into Denver for connecting flight into KC, but they held the connecting flight for those of us getting in a bit late. I appreciated that.
Pros: It was without any trouble and comfortable
Cons: Nothing to dislike
Pros: The flight was bumpy but otherwise pleasant
Cons: There was a rude passenger that yelled at me as I was exciting the flight suggesting that I cut her off as we were getting off the plane thinking that I took her bag. It was outrageous and completely ruined the flight for me. I realize this has nothing to do with the flight but it just made me feel so crumby and attached that I felt the need to share it. Also the leg room was a joke. We barely had any room to move. I probably won't fly coach on united again due to the bad taste it left in my mouth. Unfortunate because it's hub is in chicago.
Pros: Everyone was great helped me make my flight on time and great service.
Cons: Flight attendant, LaToya, was the rudest I've ever encountered on United. Didn't greet anyone, basically slammed drinks down on the tray tables, didn't say goodbye to us when departing, and was overall very unpleasant. Could tell she didn't want to be there.
Pros: Everything smooth and on time.
Pros: I liked how new and clean the plane was, and how orderly all aspects of the flight were.
Cons: It has always seem really counterproductive to load the front of the plane first. All five of us said the same thing. Really dumb, so what....... if we were to have paid more money for first class. It would be faster. No need to wait for someone to get their bag in the overhead for so long.
Pros: They put us up in a reasonable hotel
Cons: United operated leg had no inseat entertainment for an 11hr flight. Isle seats had half of legroom taken up by mysterious metal box. Flight was canceled after three hours in the plane due to mysterious smell. Followed by stampede out of the plane, into hotel, etc. No compensation obviously, #America.
Cons: Ac didn't work on ground. Not tall enough.
Cons: The boarding process is a bit chaotic. I honestly think the wi fi should be free.
Pros: The crew kept us up to date on the ATC delay.
Cons: Weather in the DEN area and Eastern Colorado generated a ground stop in DEN delaying our departure from ICT for about 2 hours. Even with the overall delay in DEN my SMF flight was long gone putting me on a late flight into SMF. This of course lead to a short night's rest...just another day of travel on the airlines.
Pros: It's always worth the extra money to fly United! I love this airline.
Cons: Too warm in flight. Did not run Ac enough.
Pros: The plane was clean. Boarding was great at Wichita.
Cons: All flights should have free wifi and power hookups. Greyhound does this, why shouldn't united.
Cons: Arrived SIX hours late, did have luggage which was nice.
Pros: Everyone at the Wichita airport were very friendly - especially the TSA personnel. Everything moved quickly and efficiently. Plus the airport itself is so beautiful and easy to get around in. Took us less than 30 minutes from parking in shuttle parking lot to going through security to getting to our gate!
Pros: I would like to start by saying that we had the best price ever and the service was exelente everyone that was working on the United plane were really attentive and friendly. Our flight was on time and we also got there couples of minutes early. Thank you United for also wishing me a happy birthday.
Cons: There was really nothing negative that I can say. Other than loud snores that were coming from the person seating behind me. But overall excellent service by United
Pros: Everything was new. They provided blankets. Seats had potential for being comfortable.
Cons: Sardines. Very little room to move and seats only recline about an inch. If there was wifi it was too slow to be useful. Reminds me of dial up days only slower. And that was only to get United info. Could not access outside world. Overall still way better than Spirit but also not in league with JetBlue or Virgin.
Pros: Was a very good service; thanks to all
Cons: Our flight was delayed. I was traveling with a baby and there was no gate agent anywhere to be found to help us get re-routed after the delay caused us to miss our connection. Terrible experience with United.
