We were delayed coming out bc the plane needed de-icing... IN JACKSONVILLE, but they were unable to get manager approval for de-icing and then the truck was out of fuel. Finally, the pilot moved the plane into the sun (which should have happened much sooner). During the flight, the cabin temperature dropped to low 60s and everyone was freezing.

It wasn't Air New Zealand, but operated by United Airlines. The plane was uncomfortable, and the entertainment system seemed clunky, unintuitive and outdated. The selection of entertainment, poor in quality, I thought. There were lost of things to watch, but a lot of it was of poor quality. The food was acceptable, but again, it felt like it was done on-the-cheap, and I was eating airline food a la 20 years ago.

Flew Alaska air - Plenty of leg room and much more than any qantas domestic flight! Empty flight and very short.

Flight was delayed. Inflight entertaining streaming system was not working. Too many people insist on not checking their luggage under, so we almost didn’t have space for our carry on by the time we were allowed to board.

Flight was on time-ish, no trouble really. Call center folks were great.

Our original flight was cancelled with no explanation. My girlfriend was notified of this and I was not. When I called to get my flight details I was informed that I was to fly out on a completely different day instead. After explaining that there was no chance of that happening, the call center rep was happy to help. The flight was now an American Airlines flight booked through Alaska. About 3 days before our flight we both received calls from American saying that they did not have our passenger information. Apparently Alaska just didn't transfer that over. We also now had two confirmation codes as the returning and connecting flights were still with Alaska. Once we got to the airport on the day of I was able to print my American Airlines boarding pass, however I could not print my Alaska boarding pass on neither American nor Alaska's kiosks. It was a redeye flight as well so there was no staff at the check in counters yet. We ultimately did get to our destination, but it was such a completely unnecessary headache to get there.

Comfort levels start diminish when you try to squeeze as many seats as you can into airplane. Especially, for people like me who are at least 6' tall. Also, the food was very meh. This was surprising because all my other experiences with ANA were quite the opposite.

Despite stitching when I could and as soon as I could. Lower back buttocks hurt pretty bad half way through the flight. This is a knock on the airline industry and not so much ANA. Comfort levels start diminish when you try to squeeze as many seats as you can into airplane. Especially, for people like me who are at least 6' tall. Also, the food was very meh. This was surprising because all my other experiences with ANA were quite the opposite.

The cabin crew were very kind and helpful, always smiling and happy to be of service.

It wasn't Air New Zealand, but operated by United Airlines. The plane was uncomfortable, and the entertainment system seemed clunky, unintuitive and outdated. The selection of entertainment, poor in quality, I thought. There were lost of things to watch, but a lot of it was of poor quality. The food was acceptable, but again, it felt like it was done on-the-cheap, and I was eating airline food a la 20 years ago.

Every Alaska Airlines personnel we worked with, from luggage check-in, to gate attendants to the flight attendants, were extremely helpful, friendly and so kind. It was a pleasure flying with Alaska.

Flight was on time-ish, no trouble really. Call center folks were great.

Our original flight was cancelled with no explanation. My girlfriend was notified of this and I was not. When I called to get my flight details I was informed that I was to fly out on a completely different day instead. After explaining that there was no chance of that happening, the call center rep was happy to help. The flight was now an American Airlines flight booked through Alaska. About 3 days before our flight we both received calls from American saying that they did not have our passenger information. Apparently Alaska just didn't transfer that over. We also now had two confirmation codes as the returning and connecting flights were still with Alaska. Once we got to the airport on the day of I was able to print my American Airlines boarding pass, however I could not print my Alaska boarding pass on neither American nor Alaska's kiosks. It was a redeye flight as well so there was no staff at the check in counters yet. We ultimately did get to our destination, but it was such a completely unnecessary headache to get there.

The credit was polite, hat was about it

We were delayed coming out bc the plane needed de-icing... IN JACKSONVILLE, but they were unable to get manager approval for de-icing and then the truck was out of fuel. Finally, the pilot moved the plane into the sun (which should have happened much sooner). During the flight, the cabin temperature dropped to low 60s and everyone was freezing.
