Needs to be modernized, updated, and cleaned! I did not feel safe on this flight. Also, this flight was delayed for no apparent reason in Newark, which is also a poorly designed airport with confusing gates which are placed too close together so announcements are not clear."

Wouldn't it make sense that if the flight was scheduled to depart at a certain time, 5 minutes before that, still no crew, let the passengers know then? No. Not if you're United. They told us to wait 20 minutes, then after 30 minutes told us about the delay and the New departure time. But when that time arrived, still no Captain. Finally, after another 15 minutes, we're on the way. Except not quite. Now, they can't get the weight and logistics of the flight worked out. C'mon United, get it together!!"

Cons: "United only had one person working to check people in, and due to a lady with 8+ bags that the only agent had to take 20+ minutes with (while the line stacked up behind us), we ended up missing the first leg of our flight. Told us our bags would be checked all the way through, and they weren't. Checked bag got lost on the way back (again, due to misinformation from United on whether our bag would be checked all the way through), and when we got them back they had obviously been rooted through, with no note left by TSA. I fly often, and this was one of the worst flying experiences of my life."

And the response I got was there's nothing we can do if you miss your connecting flight the only one going out today is at 10 pm but it's completely full already. I feel like it was the worst customer service and while I realize the lady I spoke to was probably not the one responsible for the captain being Mia she could have been more kind and more helpful by 100%"

Cons: "I got to the airport 40 minutes early. The flight was out at 6:20, I was there by 5:40. They did not let me print out a boarding pass. I could see the gate from the security line and the security line was EMPTY. There was no reason for them not to let me get on the plane, but they ended up scheduling me for a flight to Denver with the connecting flight in the morning- delaying my trip 24 hrs and charging me an extra 125$!!! I ended up paying an extra 85$ to American and was able to get to PHX that afternoon! The ladies at United were straight up RUDE too. When I told the lady at the counter my name she rolled her eyes."

Kept changing gate numbers causing me to walk all over airport while having severe knee pain!! Very upsetting and painful"

The pilot announced that "no ground crew was available to prepare a gate" for us."
