The rooftop was amazing !
Was confused about the hotel facilities and how to gain access to the terrace - more info at checkin would be good
Bed was comfortable. Room was small but adequate. Nice views
Night stands are sloped. Meaning drinks don't stay put. Tiny bathroom. Almost claustrophobic. Stingy with soap and lotion- replace if shen you clean and don't make me call for some. Also don't close roof for renovations without telling people in advance.

Across the street from 9/11 Memorial. A few blocks from 4 and 1 trains. Many places to eat and a few grocery type stores. Only have Double size beds if you want two in on room.
I wish we would have been notified that they were still experiencing outages from the storm as we would have prepared better upon arrival. We did not have Wi-Fi, the business office downstairs was closed, no restaurant or room services available. Area is extremely quiet, so perfect for those families not interested in 24 hours of noise. Beds and rooms were very comfortable.

wonderful stay spa services were 1st class room service was delicious and timely hotel and staff perfect!
Hotel is very clean. This is a crucial point for us. The service was top notch. The amenities are present as well. Service was good. The hotel is a block and half from Central Park. Located between Madison Ave and Park, most of the Manhattan attractions are within a 20 minute walk. Only concern. You can be nickeled and dimed. $12 for shortbread cookies? $16.20 for 24 hours of in room wireless access? (go down to the lobby for free wireless or use the free business center) $5 bag fee? (Really?) That being said, the service was terrific (we didn't eat in the restaurant). Taxi were procured quickly. The business center allows free internet access and free boarding pass printing.

You know what you're getting when you stay here - a bathroom down the hall, a twin bed, and a small room. It was perfect! I'm in New York City, so I 'm not staying in my room anyway except to sleep! Immaculately clean, friendly service. I loved everything about it and will definitely stay here again!

Customer service, reservation team and management all were pretty terrible. Provided no accomodation for a change or adjustment in reservation. In addition the front desk person was rude and abrupt when nobody else was even in the lobby. I left this hotel and went right next door to the cleaner and friendlier Hotel Indigo.

Some things can only happen at Night. Dubbed -Gothic Gotham chic by the press and inspired by the pulse and passion of New York, hotel iconoclast Vikram Chatwals most intimate boutique property is a stylish realm of distinct and playful elegance. Very cool black-and-white decor (and Timorous Beasties wallpaper!); our room was small but well-designed and comfortable. Heavy blackout drapes were much appreciated! All staff we met, even by chance in the elevator, were friendly and helpful. One complaint: our room smelled heavily of cigarettes. We thought at first it had maybe been poorly cleaned, or that the smell was coming from somewhere else - we didn't deliberately choose a smoking room - until just before we left and found an ashtray. On checkout, the staff explained (quite apologetically) that the eighth floor was all smoking rooms, and that in future we should call ahead to specifically request a non-smoking room. We're just so used to hotels being smoke-free, or at least making clear which rooms are designated for smoking, that this would never have occurred to us. No one mentioned that it was a smoking room on check-in. This is a good hotel, but call ahead if you don't want to feel like you're sleeping in a cheap motel...
The hotel is very conveniently located. We enjoyed the extremely comfortable beds after long days of seeing the sights. The decor is trendy and cool.

Five years ago, no one would have looked to the Bowery for Manhattan’s hottest boutique hotel, but the one-time skid row has come up trumps with this irrepressible hipster hangout. The Bowery Hotel's light, bright bedrooms capture the classic style of New York apartments (complete with moodily lit tiled corridors), and its art-deco-inspired Lobby bar is a ho...

The staff were exceptional. Especially in the lobby lounge where I spent a lot of my time. The wait staff were all exceptional and made me feel welcome and like family. I loved spending time in the Lobby Lounge of the Bowery!
My room was a bit noisy. Think the rooms could use a fresh coat of paint. This was my first time staying at the Bowery and I was extremely impressed with the service. I will definitely make it my go-to hotel for all of my NYC trips.
The attention to detail of the design and the comfortable (though small) rooms with fantastic views.
The restaurant was too warmLoved the location in the East Village and so close to Soho. Very quick to and from JFK. Attentive staff. Cool vibe. Beautiful views.

The hotel was very clean and the staff were helpful and patient. The free breakfast was well stocked and we had no problems with appliances in the room. There are even recommendations for places to eat and directions to various parts of new york on the website. Very good deal for the price. :)
The only downside was the location which was above a market. If you don't like the smell of fish it might bother you, but it's not nearly as pungent once you get inside.

AC didn't work for 3 night stay. They wouldn't change my room. Staff didn't really listen and wasn't interested in really solving the problem. I ended up getting sick because I slept three nights in a room where the AC kept breaking down. Wouldn't even give me a credit for the problem upon checkout. Horrible experience.
The lobby was clean and inviting and the location was excellent.
When I arrived, my room was not ready. After two hours of waiting I was told that the people who were previously in my room had paid extra for a late check-out and were still there. They did not care that I paid to check in at a certain time, but was not able to get to my room. After three hours, I was given a different room. The room was small which I expected since I have traveled to New York many times, but it was entirely too small for three people. It may be fine for a couple with 1 bed. The décor of the room was good, but the room was not up to my standards for cleanliness. The drapes had stains on them, the air vents had mold on them and the shower floor was dirty. On our third day, I started smelling a sewage smell after a shower. It got worse over the next two hours, so I called house keeping. They came and said I needed to be moved. The new room had clean drapes, but the rest was the same except the view was downgraded. Another thing to note was the elevators were broken. The day we arrived, all the elevators were broken and everyone had to take stairs with luggage. The rest of the days ranged 1-2 elevators worked. The roof deck is nice, but beware if you plan to use it at night, you will probably not be able to access the roof deck. All 5 nights we were there, it closed around 8:00-9:00 for a "private party". We later learned from other frustrated guests that they closed it for the club that is in the hotel. It is possible that I was there on an "off" week because every guest I came in touch with was complaining. I am in the hospitality industry and understand things happen and establishments have "off" weeks, but the one thing I can't tolerate is poor management and rude staff. Not one person I came in contact with was accommodating or even apologetic. I believe the hotel has great promise, but the management needs to be changed.
