For whatever reason you always have to wait longer for their shuttle vs other car agencies, the lines for checkout and check-in also are longer, they nickle and dime you on insurance requirements like no other rental car agencies. The car I rented was older and had previously been wrecked and fixed with a bad paint job. Other than that it was ok.Reviewed May 3 2024

Would never recommend ACE to anyone going to Las Vegas. Not only is the facility in the back of an unlit/unsafe area, the staff was completely unprofessional. When I asked why I need to pay $500 upfront for a $40 2 day reservation, no joke the guy looked at me and says, "in case you smoke in the car". I have NEVER paid a deposit on a rental car in Las Vegas or anywhere for that matter. The staff unfairly profiled me when I don't even smoke. Staff were not friendly at pick up or drop off. Total advertised price was inaccurate. When providing our own insurance, service representatives were snippy as soon as they realized they would not make that extra $ off us, they kept threatening penalties, coverage gaps, and potential legal action even though proof of full insurance coverage was provided. We were provided with a vehicle from Nevada with summer tires and 2 wheel drive even after explaining we would be crossing the mountains. At drop off the receiving staff was angry and rude. ACE will not be getting our business again and should likely just advertise their true price so they can pay their staff more. I’ll gladly pay the extra (as advertised) cost for a properly equipped vehicle from a more reputable rental company. Do better ACE.Reviewed Apr 28 2024

I arrived 30 minutes early for my reservation and the line was ridiculously long. It took over an hour and fifteen to just talk to someone. I elected to purchase the collision coverage online, only to get there and be told that I also needed to purchase minimum coverage for $30 per day. An additional $150 on top of what I paid online. I budgeted $275 for the rental car to get there and be told that it will be over 50% more expensive!?!? So ridiculous, especially when I am standing in a city with no other options to rent a car at that point. 30 minutes after talking with someone I was given a vehicle with substantial scratches, dents, damage, and a half a tank of gas. This was the worst rental car experience I have ever had. I would NEVER use this rental service again. I feel like I was screwed over and when you are there, have been waiting and have no other options, you just have to pay the extra money for the damaged vehicle and move on. Nothing to like. First, I would not rent from ACE again, as the inconvenience is not worth the time. Getting to the location is a hassle. Leaving the terminal, you have to travel/walk 15-20 minutes to get to a pickup area, only to have to call for a pickup. Several people were already waiting for an extended time before I arrived. Next, after getting to the rental location, I had to wait an additional 30 minutes before a vehicle was brought to me. After inspection of the vehicle, it seemed that a previous renter hit the bumper and you can see this on both left & right upper sides. I tried to point this out to someone that worked there and was told video was already taken of the car, so don't worry about it. I then took my own video. The car was not cleaned and looked like it just was wiped down with a cloth instead of being washed. The return wasn't any better, as I wasn't greeted by anyone when I pulled to the return point. I had to seek out an employee and ask, where they told me to leave the car and take the keys inside. I then had to wait as customers were in front of me in line, before a clerk looked up and asked if I was returning. I then gave the keys over and had to wait about 15 minutes more for the next shuttle back to the airport. You must factor in plenty of time if you rent with ACE, and not get frustrated with what appears to be poor process management. Overall, I would have rented directly from the airport onsite locations, instead of ACE if I fly into EWR/Newark airport again.Reviewed Apr 24 2024
