They tried to scam us out of $2500. They said we were on the do not rent list due to prior car rental damage. The Alamo dept. that handles do not rent issues was closed. When we did get a hold of that department they took us off the do not rent list. No explanation of why or how we even got on the list. Scam. Had to rent with a different company. Never use Alamo, national or enterprise again.

Booked an automatic car, we went to pick it up and they told us that they can only give us a manual car. They didn’t even give us a heads up with an email or a phone call. I refused to take the manual car and they said they need an hour to “try” and get an automatic car from another office, why did they not do that before we even showed up for pickup? We were very late to our prior engagement and found a much better alternative so we cancelled the booking. We had another planned booking with Alamo four days after this one, when I asked if my requested car will be automatic for that booking, they said “we will try” to make it happen, as if we’re not paying for their service, but for them to “try” to provide it. Overall very poor organization.

The lady at the front desk who checked us in was indifferent. After completing the check in she asked us to wait to be called for our vehicle. All people in the waiting area, including all of those who arrived after us came and left. After almost 30 minutes we approached the lady and asked when our vehicle would be ready. She replied that she had forgotten to ask the valet to prepare a vehicle for us. Very poor service to say the least.
