Nothing It is used as residential living and their tenants were questionable. There was trash left in the hallways. There was roaches in the bathroom. No clear direction on how to get to the second floor. Their idea of a dinning area had folding metal chairs and plastic tables. Not worth staying there again.
The only good thing about this hotel is the location. There's plenty of shops and places to eat nearby, and it's located near two major freeways. They do offer free wifi, but that is something that I expect at all hotels these days, so I don't really consider it a plus. The connection seemed to run fine with the little that I used my phone during my short stay. I was very disappointed with the hotel seeing that they do not offer what you pay for. I called an hour before arriving to confirm my reservation and the man who answered was not very professional. I was about to hang up thinking I dialed the wrong number when he answered with a rude "Hello". When I arrived, the lady at the desk was not welcoming at all. She didn't even want to let me check in early, even though I had gotten the okay to do so (with an extra $20 fee) from the man over the phone. I never got a smile or thank you from that lady. Even though there was an obvious language barrier, a smile or nod would have been enough. They still have not upgraded their check in system. I was required to pay a $30 deposit - cash only! - and was given a regular key (not the swiping, more secure credit card types). Once I got to my floor, I had to take a guess at what room was mine since the room number was missing from the door. The room itself is terribly outdated and dirty in appearance. The carpet had many stains, including a large bleach stain (who knows what spilled there..), and the blanket felt grimy. I didn't even bother lifting up the sheets. I laid on some of my extra clothes instead. The bathroom appeared to be clean, but still was outdated with rusty faucets. Looks like nothing has been done to it since it was built in the 70s. Worst of all was the non-functioning air conditioning unit. It turned on just fine, but it never gave me the cool air I set it for. Even after giving it a chance to kick in, the air still came out too warm. Although it did help with some circulation, especially since it was quite humid that day, the vents were stuck pointing up to the ceiling. I had to move the round wooden table directly over the vents in order for it to force some of the air downwards. That was the only way I felt any relief. It didn't feel like the hotel's management would be responsive if I complained or asked for a different room, so I didn't bother. I checked out after only four hours of being there. Had I paid $50 or less dollars for the room, I may have expected to see what I saw. But for $84 a night, much more is expected. I've stayed in hotels in Pasadena, just 5-10 minutes to the north for about the same price, and received much better service and better quality rooms.
Staff seemed to want to take care of problem . My bed had a bunch of what looked like dead skin from someone's feet/head. There was a dead ant and hair in the other. Pillows had dried blood spots (alá bed bug). It was a horrible experience. Neck and neck with the worst place I've stayed at save front desk.
LOCATION NOISY MOTEL
It was in a nice area. Close to restaurants and wine bar. It was clean, and comfortable. Breakfast was little selection but good enough.
Pretty clean, pleased the room included a microwave, refrigerator and hair dryer. Staff were very polite. Location was very good, close to a Starbucks and some restaurants. Checked in after 6 pm and my door key card didn't work and the technician wouldn't be available till the next morning. I wasn't offered another room and was told to just ask the front desk clerk to be let in, quite inconvenient. The next day, the door was fine. Though a non-smoking room, it had a funny smell. Parking was frustrating, only about 18 spaces for more than 25 rooms. Was told that if there was no available space, I would have to park overnight on the street.
The room was big and clean and the bed was very comfortable! Not a lot of parking, though the front desk staff will give you an overnight pass to park on the street if you ask. Elevator was a little rickety and we couldn't find the stairs.
Location is good walking distance to different type of restaurants theater is round the corner quiet as well
The staff, the comfy beds, location Funny smells, noisy electronics/shower, parking price. The place is good but could use an update
Staff was great, location to other attractions The parking garage was pricey considering I paid 200.00 a night should get a discount when staying. The elevators were all not in service. Breakfast was too expensive for a weeks stay. I couldn't find a salon inside for service.
Best place to stay when going to Universal Studios, and I go a lot. There's a free shuttle that takes you to the entrance of City Walk or you can walk there in less than 10 minutes via the pedestrian bridge.
The room was spacious...good pillows. Good gym, nice pool. Two elevators were out (and have been for 3 years!), making trips up and down sometimes very lengthy. You can call the operator each time you go to the elevator asking to be picked up, but how ridiculous for a hotel of this caliber. Restaurant food was boring. All three places to eat at the hotel had the same menu, with tiny differences. The first meal or two it is fine, you can find alternate foods to eat, but after a few days, a change is necessary. It cost $18 for a so-called, all you can eat 'continental breakfast'...yogurt, fruit, cereal, muffins and coffee! This Hilton is near the Universal City Walk, all franchise restaurants so no good food nearby for real foodies...if you like buffets with all you can eat, this is your place.
Staff and less than 10 minutes walking distance to Universal studio Wait for elevator and parking was pricey
Walking distance to universal and reasonable droving distance to many LA locations. Cost of parking.
Close to Universal Studios The outside hallway carpet was greasy and muddy. Even after having them clean it, we continued to bring grease and grime and dirt into our hotel room. Our entry walkway was pretty disgusting because of it.
Everything was perfect
The pool, corner room & breakfast. The parking situation upon arrival.
Modest accommodations Nothing special for price
The hotel was clean. Check in was fast and the valet service was prompt and attentive. Make them walk the room with you at check out. I was charged a $50 smoking fee when I don't smoke.
Very clean and elegant
Room very quiet, clean Parking expensive and difficult to access
Location is great, staff were nice Bedding was inferior, restaurant was overwhelmed,
Staff was stiff
Place is getting tired. Needs a refresh in the rooms
Make sure you look at the room beforehand. It was TINY.
Staff is awesome Very helpful and friendly. They met every need and then some for my family.
Bed Cleanlinnes Bed Price
This was my first time staying here in years. The room was comfortable and clean. We were in a new renovated room and floor, which enhanced our stay. Norman at the restaurant was great - very attentive and accommodating. The hotel is centrally located and their shuttle/car service was very convenient (they"ll drop and/or pick up within a 3 mile area). I found the rate we paid was excessive compared to the rates I have seen for this hotel in the past.
Beautiful hotel, friendly staff, great food, and fun activities within walking distance! We had our dog with us and he enjoyed his stay too! We especially loved the Westin white tea products!
Beautiful grounds! For the price, things didn't seem up to par. Our room wasn't super clean... chair had food stains. Ice room was very dirty and old. Lots of construction around pool area. Room was okay. Bathroom was nicer than the room. Paint, wallpaper, etc. around the hotel need to be updated and cleaned.
The bed too soft & too noise
Liked everything! Especially the complimentary shuttle service.
the Concierge level that I upgraded to as well as the staff!
Fantastic place. History and luxury
Lovely grounds and common areas There were no blankets for extra bed.
The hotel is a gem in setting and appearance. The staff exceptionally courteous and helpful. The restaurant and bars amazing My particular room, 1702 needed a slight furniture update, and oddly was short a breakfast order door hang tag and the second day I received no bottled water replacement.
Beautiful hotel! Staff very friendly and helpful Expensive... We ordered room service late one night and didn't get half of it because they had ran out, but no phone call was made to us or given the opportunity to order something else.
Older property that has charm, but for a 5 star hotel the hotel staff falls short of offering a 5 star experience. In addition, because rooms are older, it's hard to find an easily accessible electricity plug to charge your phone at night. In fact, the only one I could find was in the bathroom.
Love that the hotel has beautiful lush grounds to walk around. Very pleasant staff and clean rooms. We were given a room at the Villa Clara and while a gorgeous building, our dbl beds were too short and made for an uncomfortable nights sleep.
The hotel is located in a recently renovated 7 story 1920/30's building in downtown Pasadena. Close to banks, restaurants and shopping. Décor is chic modern. Due to it's newness, rooms and public spaces were very clean, fresh and attractive. The hotel has expansion plans for this year to include a centrally located pool area. Staff was very friendly. Parking is strictly valet and off site. I did not use the restaurant or bar areas and my stay was just 1 night.
Love the bathtub and heated toilet seat. King size bed so comfortable. The cost of the deposit and hold on the room was over $600!!!
How modern it was. Parking was a bit pricey.
The room was spacious, modern, luxurious and clean. The bed was comfortable with good sheets and pillows. The bathroom was gorgeous tile with a really nice showerhead and good lighting. The air/heat was easy to control, the fridge/coffee maker were great and the electronics charging was a great bonus. Front desk staff and valet were really friendly. Have a less expensive self-parking option.
Super cute boutique hotel in a great location. Close to Paseo and to Old town. The staff was super friendly. The placement of the bathrooms were a little strange. No real privacy, so odd for newer couples.
One of the few things that makes business travel bearable is finding unusual hotels in attractive locations at reasonable prices. The dusitD2 Hotel Constance is just such a find. Stayed for 1 night on business with 2 colleagues. It's a lovely old building with very extensive recent remodeling. The room, though small, was very thoughtfully laid out with no bathroom wall, but frosted glass doors separating the shower and toilet, tasteful mirroring, two large windows and furniture that made the room seem larger than its square footage. Unlike the lobby, the styling of the room and hallways really works. This does not look like your standard chain hotel. I particularly appreciated the multiple touch pads on the walls to control lighting, heat and air, as well as the bedside tablet also with lighting and hvac controls and helpful information, such as weather. Bed, linens, pillows, two robes all high quality and quite comfortable. Large flat screen TV, Keurig coffee maker, free wifi, mini fridge, small but workable closet - just don't bring a lot of clothes on hangars.. My room facing the courtyard and next door construction was quiet and private. Use of plantation shutters rather than curtains contributed to the sense of spaciousness, kept out unwanted light and served to dull outside noises. Breakfast in the dining room was pretty good and reasonably priced. All staff were friendly and helpful. The lobby and restaurant seem "over styled" for my taste. The old Spanish Revival character of the lobby has been sacrificed to a swoopy, white/gold/shocking blue aesthetic that is neither welcoming nor particularly attractive. There is no pool and I did not see an exercise room, but I didn't look, either. Parking was expensive at $25/night. If I had to do a lot of business out of a hotel room, I would not stay here. The open bathroom design would not work well if you are sharing a room with anyone other than an intimate. The desk is small and the desk chair just marginally comfortable.
Clean, courteous and friendly staff Check in with car park is a bit confusing $23 over night parking unnecessary. Pretty safe street parking in surrounding
The staff was very friendly and helpful. The design was fun but also honored the history of the hotel. Great location. No pool but they are going to have a roof top pool at the end of phase 2/ the end of 2016.
Bath tub spa. Toilet. Big TV Keurig cups, water bottles, and toiletries were not restocked on regular basis. Studio still felt small.
The staff were fantastic: very friendly and they went out of their way to make my stay comfortable. The room was clean and nicely appointed. The in-hotel food was great too. The location is good for CalTech, less than a mile to walk in. I have the impression that the hotel's rate is normally over the GSA limit but this time -- thankfully -- it was not. There's really nothing I didn't like. No microwave but you really don't need one in this location (downtown Pasadena); there are restaurants everywhere.
I sought a boutique hotel that catered to mostly adults to celebrate our 10th wedding anniversary. My husband are local to the LA area and familiar with Pasadena, but wanted to escape overnight. We had plans for a fine dinner at Ruth Chris, and dancing after with the Pasadena Ballroom Dance Association. The hotel was perfectly situated for both of these plans and the rest of Old Town was well within reach. We like modern, chic places, and have stayed at such in NYC, Las Vegas and DTLA. Hotel Constance was on par with all of those, if, perhaps, lacking a pool, and a bit more vibrantly populated bar and dining area. Loved the styling, the in room amenities, the quiet of the room itself, and the location for our chosen activities-everything was in walking distance, which added to the romance. A very creative place, staff were cheerful, helpful and engaging. Would certainly make another "staycation" plan based from this hotel. We were only on an overnight, and we did not have a need to use our car. $25 for overnight valet was a pretty stiff charge. We probably could have parked elsewhere for less, but it was offset some by the cute electric shuttle, and the ride we received within an easy radius of the hotel.
I loved the bed but that's about it. When I first checked in I was carrying my baby and luggage and had my son follow. Got all the way to my room and my key didn't work so i had to drag it all back down and carry it all back up a second time. The shower clogged up. The tv was in & out and some channels didn't have any volume?! No fridge, no microwave, no table for us to eat on.... (There was a desk my son ate on but me & my husband had to eat standing up or on the bed) Parking is $21 a night for guest. You have to pay for wifi & breakfast.
I did like that the front desk accommodated us despite the miscommunication about check in. They gave us free overnight parking as well. I did not like that guest parking was so expensive. Even just for a few hours would be pricey just for a quick visit.
We liked pretty much everything. There's a pool, fitness center, & gift shop. There's also a fully functioning restaurant (The Daily Grill) that is open early & closes late. Great place to have people in the area meet us for food or drinks. Very comfortable rooms with everything you need included. It was nice to have a parking lot in the hotel, but if you opted not to go with Valet, it was a little bit of a walk to get to the lobby with suitcases & such. Adding to that, the parking lot is shared with airport travelers, so there were times at night where we were concerned we wouldn't find any spaces, even though we were hotel guests. But, it still worked out, there were a couple of hidden spots. My biggest complaint is that the air-conditioning unit in our room was very loud & would wake us up throughout the night whenever it clicked on. On a minor note, the business area in the room with the extra outlets had blown a fuse & no power was coming out of it. We let the front desk know. Over-all, these are small complaints (other than the AC).
Staff was very friendly and helpful. No breakfast for guests unless you pay at the restaurant or order room service.
We stayed there before going to vegas for our honeymoon... Awesome place, staff is extremely friendly, totally recommended
Great staff Double queen beds seemed a little small and mattresses were not very comfortable.
The pool area at night was beautiful The only thing I would mention is that the additional parking fee was not clear when I booked, I ve found out of this at the hotel
Room was very clean and staff was very polite.
The Hotel was clean and staff was super friendly but the parking wasn't free, $21 dollare a day. Yikes! No free parking.
Great value for the price. Only thing that I can point out was check in. We had to wait for a room to get cleaned even though we were checking in 2 hrs past regular check in. Also no hot tub. :( staff was top notch. I have never had towels delivered so fast. I swear they were to us before I hung up, haha
Everything was great. Was only there for a night, but staff was very attentive. You had to pay extra for parking.
Steak salad from room service was exceptional! Employees were friendly and helpful. Toilet stopped up. Hallways smelled musty. Bedspread smelled like someone's perfume - obviously was not washed before I arrived. Woodwork was full of nicks and scratches. Very dissapointing for a Marriott.
I did like that my room was ready on time and that it had a view. When I arrived there was a leak in the restroom that they did not fix... I has the same issue with the water leaking from the toilet when I woke up the next morning. Also the morning I checked out the TV did not work and I had to call room service to fix it and reprogram it. The price was not up to par with the type of room I was given.
Was charged a deposit at the hotel, had to pay to park. Also room was soooo cold had to sit in coat and hat, called front desk we were offered a space heater but it was never brought to the room. Called the front desk and was told the heat had been cut back on so heater in room should work now.. It didn't
Location was perfect for me. Rooms were nice and clean. Bed, comfortable. There is construction going at the corner of Lankershim and Universal Hollywood Dr. I stayed for two nights where the construction completed at 11PM the first night. Unfortunately construction continued ALL NIGHT the second night which was a Friday night. I was woken up several times by the work that was going on!
The Hotel Staff was amazing! They went above & beyond to make sure that our stay was everything we hoped it would be. Nothing!
I loved the location; close to Universal but also a short drive from Hollywood and Warner Brothers. Walking distance to small restaurants and gas stations. The bed was the most comfortable hotel bed I've ever slept in! And the view from the 20th floor was incredible. The room needs some updating. Dings and marks were visible on the walls and the bathroom showed definite signs of wear.
Arrived with family and Young Children. At midnight had a fire alarm that told us to exit the building via Staircase. We did. carrying 2 children and 20 flights of stairs later. We were told, It was the steam from the kitchen that caused it, go back to the room. 1 am, this gets repeated again. We get told someone was smoking, go back to the room. This happens again. We just go to the staircase with no energy to walk down 20 flights of stairs. We call 45 min. later to find out (false alarm). So next morning - the staff gets approached and we get told oh there was a party on the 21st floor that was using a fog machine. I asked why not have a PA system in the stairs so you can notify the people to not panic or there's a fire on the 2nd floor or anything. They said oh I know.. WTF.. I know. I just left with family never to return to that one again.
Team members were friendly, shuttle to Universal Studio mall plus in walking distance if you choose and food was good. We were there for our grandsons birthday First I could have had better room rate then what we got Sheraton is a Starwood management and we are owners of a Hotel in San Diego that is also managed by Starwood.. So I had told the manager checking us in that and he still didn't do anything about a lesser rate. Second under remodeling no ATM machine black out curtain didn't close properly use hair clippies to keep outside lighting out at night..
Location, location and location - that's the only thing positive about this hotel. Otherwise, it is no better than a poor hotel with bad everything - Rooms are aged (badly need remodeling) - Rooms are not kept up and clean (there was mildew buildup around the sink and it was blocked for us) - Service is poor (45 min to get shower cap)
Upgraded to larger family room with Sheik theme when they saw we had kids. Kids liked it. Location great. Porbably slightly older than the Hilton next door.
They charge extra just to use wifi, which is typically a standard accommodation everywhere. The place is run down.
Fantastic staff, great location within walking distance to Universal Studios & not far to drive to Warner Brothers Studios. Rooms are a bit dated & need a makeover, however they are currently renovating the public areas so I am sure they could possibly then start on updating their rooms. The public areas look great.
Clean beds. Parking is expensive ~$55 for 2 days. And if you decide to leave the hotel for few hours to cruise around town, you will pay even more for hotel parking. Nothing is free, not even the coffee in the room. $30 breakfast (basic) per person is ridiculous!
The guy at the front counter was very helpful room was clean but on the street didn't like that didn't seem like a four-star but did have a minibar valet guy stunk up my car not going back to this hotel because a dirty animal
this hotel had the most comfortable bed i have slept in away from home. the stylish simple decor is relaxing and the small details are appreciated. the central location is one of the primary reasons i selected this hotel. very pleased with my experience at this hotel.
This is a very efficient, comfortable and stylish hotel. The staff is friendly and professional. Clearly, they hire customer oriented staff and pay great attention to detail. I'll definately return.
The rooms were clean and comfortable The staff were attentive and courtious The smoke alarm tests Lack of king bed availaîlity
Pillows, beds, comfort of whole room. Excellent staff. Shuttle was lincoln town car. Across from 24hr grocery store. No view just another room 4 feet away. No pool. Spa water was warm but not hot. Did I mention, no pool!
Very nice room with good comfort Expensive breakfast! Including tax and normal tip we paid almost 70 dollars for a three persons continental breakfast (toast, muffin and fruit).
Everything was great! Would recommend to others
Just how nice the staff was and the welcome feeling each time you entered the doors An $93 dollars charge a day later after paying the bill that was not given a reason for what it was for.
Very clean Quite far from main la attraction. Neighborhood is a no man's land at night.
The peace and quite and very relaxing and clean Leaving
Golf courses Ike & Babe Elevator noise Inconvenient restaurant location from lobby
Nice hotel. Good restaurant. Brutal food options outside of hotel offerings.
grounds view from room window free parking noisy toilet when flushed low battery for safe in room short range from TV remote to TV
The claimed every room had a balcony but we stayed in a room without. They were not helpful with our request to upgrade either. Just over all not a good experience.
I have never stayed there before. I was pleasantly surprised how nice it was. The resort hotel was luxurious and accomadating.
The overall look of the place was very nice. The rooms need to be redone, very tired looking. I could feel the springs on the bed. We went to the New Year's Eve all you can eat Prime Rib and Lobster dinner. Almost everything had an Asian touch to it. Meaning the steak was Medium to Medium well and up. The lobster was cooked in a brown sauce. Just really not what we expected.
Staff was great
Nothing The hair in our room, and how dirty it was, and how we still haven't gotten into contact with the manager there
We loved the pool- great view and super relaxing. We were able to order margaritas from room service out there. Nice central location for visiting Disney and Hollywood.
I would definitely go back
Water doesn't drain from tub
Clean and comfortable Upon check out I realized the overbilled me. They billed triple the rate promised when booked. Their response was it will take two business days. After hours of my own time I was able to get it corrected
The price ! The only thing this place has going for it is the location!
Enjoyed are stay. It's a great location close to everything in Pasadena.
Location ~ ENTIRE STAFF OF HOTEL !! Pool !!
Ease of check-in, parking and room location close to parking. Nothing. Great stay.
We were staying at the Courtyard for a family wedding. The negotiated group rate was fantastic...$119 per night for Friday and Saturday. The pool became the gathering place for all of us staying at the hotel. Loved the space. It allowed us to spend more time together. The restaurant food was much better than expected. The hotel would not honor the group rate for Thursday night. All of us traveling from the east coast had to fly in Thursday for Friday's wedding events. Service in the restaurant was slow.
The Marriott was perfect! Sleek, large, clean comfy room. Mine had a view of the mountains. The location was in the center of the shopping district. Loads of eateries and great shopping.
The service from the valet to check in to to food service was excellent and friendly and very professional. The room was very nice and decorated. Elevator and hallway carpet looked very dated. Room bathroom was unbalanced and boring. Night stand drawer handle needed to be better wiped clean.
Check, some helpful staff Noisy b/c next to vending machine. Ask to be moved. Wanted me to move everything out before changing rooms. Hard with kids. didn't change rooms. Coffee maker didn't work.
Front desk staff was sub par.
The beds are clean and comfy The staff was great The bell hopes did everything for you with a smile The bar staff understand your drink needs The front desk staff is quick and good The shower had a clogged drain It was fixed but it was the down side of the trip
Location was decent. Food in the bar was pretty good. The rooms were super outdated and old. Paid for an upgraded room and the bathroom was the size of a very small cabinet. No outlet covers in our room just exposed plugs.
Heard music in our room coming from outside all night long.... Front desk staff unhelpful and unpleasant.
I was with a group of teachers in town for a conference at the Pasadena Convention Center, so it was nice that we were within walking distance. I will definitely be staying at another hotel next year. If you wanted internet it cost $10, there was no refrigerator, the girl at the front desk was rude and unhappy to help, the Starbucks on site only served coffee and tea (espresso machine broken), and you could hear the noise from the adjoining rooms.
I thought the staff was exceptionally courteous and helpful. In general, a very pleasant place to stay, and I would stay there again. The hallway by my room smelled musty, like a dog on a rainy day. The price of valet parking and breakfast seemed mysterious to me, poorly explained and arbitrary.
Fast check in, easy parking, courteous and efficient staff. We arrived, had valet parking ($2 difference between valet and self-serve overnight parking cost). Walked right up to desk with no wait. 3 minutes later I had keys in my hand. Room was clean and adequately appointed. In the morning my receipt was waiting for me and a call just before I left my room had my car waiting by the time I was in the lobby. Complete lack of jet packs and flying cars but I've yet to find a hotel with an adequate supply of them.
Near old town Pasadena and good restaurants The price was a smudge too much
The location is good! The room. A lot of noise. Horrible view.
Efficient check in Clean room overall good experience Bar service could be much better
Room was clean and bed was super comfortable Tub was leaking and it didn't drain well so there was always a collection of water
Needs massive refurbishment. Everything old and tired... Furniture, bed, HVAC, you name it. Parking also was $19/$21 for self/valet... too high.
Good food close by A little far from beaches
This is a very comfortable and convenient hotel that our friends in Los Angeles strongly recommend us to stay. They also told us that it is a best hotel for Chinese tourists because of its best location. We will choose this hotel for our next trip to the US. For the time being we have no unhappy experience during stay in this hotel
Centrally located, friendly staff, knowledgeable people, and rooms were spacious.
Nice rooms. The web site for the hotel under amenities said free breakfast. We did not get ffree breakfest. Even when I pointed out to the staff and showed Them. They said it was because I booked through a different web site. But under amenities listed is pool workout room and I was allowed to use those amenities. Free breakfast is always a consideration when I book hotels. So I was bummed. Started my day off bad.
If you are in Monterey park for Chinese food, you can't beat staying here. Renovation starts at 9am
Pool was open even with rain and had warm enough water to swim outdoors in 60 degrees weather.
The staff was extremely pleasant, and helpful. They greeted me each time, with a genuine smile. I would recommend this hotel to anyone.
Nice beds (although very high) and pillows. Breakfast was good! The breakfast lady was very friendly and quick at refilling the breakfast! The TV cable was out the whole night and next morning but it wasn't their fault, there was a big storm. They had a cable truck there when we came but it was still never fixed. I think they should have gave us a discount but didnt! no receipt because computer was out...again I'm sure because of the storm!
The stay The reception did not know what to do. Disturbed my stay.
It was a good experience.
The room and pool seemed clean enough. We rarely let housekeeping in for short stays, so we can't speak to that. Parking lot is terrible. Very small, horribly laid out and the spaces were tiny. Expect dents. The hotel is way overpriced for what you get. Rooms were clean but dated and ugly. The internet connection was spotty at best. We were also given a double queen when we booked a king.
easy freeway access and access to our specific event it was a little run down - TV didn't work right
that is was located on Colorado Blvd not far from downtown old Pasadena. too little parking, not very kept up and not well cleaned.
Location, breakfast, nice office people. No chair for guests to sit on. Had 2 of our friends visit, but the couch is not enough. Put a small chair in the room.
I liked that they served breakfast that was included I didn't like the fact that, I had to give a $100 deposit up front. That caught me by surprise, which I didn't like. I have gotten best western before and I didn't have those hidden charges. So that left us with $100 less for our weekend and that didn't go well for the kids.
Overall, the feeling was modern, clean, comfortable, and a place where I could do work as well as relax. The place is under renovation. There are still a few things that needed to be done in the room especially in the bathroom. But they were minor details, that will probably be addressed as they complete the renovation. The shower head was too high.
The rooms were very nice and comfy. Nice size bathroom. The non-smoking rooms wreaked of disgusting stale cigarettes. As a non-smoker, it made me gag!!
Had frig and mirowave in the room . Our room had a connecting door in it. The one night someone in the other room went to sleep with his tv volume up. beginning of the night we were able to sleep but as it got to early morning it became a problem. However when we tried to fix problem they quickly helped solve the issue.
Staff was amazing (though having a newborn with us helped). Young pregnant woman at front desk (didn't catch her name) was exceptionally accomodating. First night was broken by several members of a wedding party banging on our door and being loud in general.
Ita the nicest holiday inn i hqve ever seen and the girl at the front desk told me it was the biggest too. Also PARKING IS FREE. . . A rarity in LA It was all good
I enjoyed the entertainment Friday and Saturday night. Kareoke and the house band were awesome The pool area could use some upgrades and a jacuzzi
My only suggestion is that the room service could be a bit nicer for the price... plasticware?
The modern amenities, quality, location was perfect, The fees were high for an average size of room. I've paid that much in the past (Oxnard ~ Garden Inn) but they have small kitchenettes, free bfast & dinner.
The rooms were amazing, and the view was very beautiful! The workers were very polite and very outgoing
excellent spacious room, iphone/ipod connection with tv, very good bed, shower, air conditioning, everything works great. very well decorated room, light inside. close to warner bros, just 10 minutes by car to universal studios and 30 minutes or less to six flags magic mountain.
It was unique with every room having different murals and great location, very friendly hotel staff, and they even have a coffee/espresso machine at all hours of the night as well as pastries provided in the morning! Would definitely recommend for a trip to LA and will be staying here again! Limited parking in front so have to park in the back lot
David was very helpful, we had a bit of trouble finding our way however he talked us through it all and we arrived eventually. We end up extending our booking by 2 nights as the stay was comfortable. I confirmed on check in that my credit card was being used as a pre auth only, however when checking out i was informed my card had been charged without letting me know and i could not charge my stay to the correct card and nothing could be done about it.
