Super easy pickup and drop off in Punta Gorda. However, the truck we rented had the tint removed but not the adhesive. The windows were super sticky to the touch and would barely go down and getting them back up was a half hour task. ALWAYS check ALL window operations before driving away with your car!! Upon return, no one really cared but some manager gave us a discount as long as we promised to give a 5 star review when Alamo sent a survey!! Is that bribery??

Pros:

Staff tried. there were no trucks available for us. We had to wait over 30 minutes and I had a mortgage closing that I had to attend. It was very stressful.

The car could have been ready to go at the time specified.

Dropped off vehicle at 6:05 PM at the location. No one was there, however, there was no box to leave the keys. There was a box that said, for trucks only and not to leave the car keys. I had no choice but to leave the car keys in the truck box. would I run there again? Absolutely not. Very frustrating. I was there 45 minutes trying to figure out what to do. No one would answer the phone and when I talk to someone on the phone, it took me a half hour to wait to get to someone. Too much time out of my day, and my time is valuable.

Given tire that was very low in pressure. Given car with gas tank not full but then charged for returning with less than a full tank. Pick up location was very slow.

I reserved the convertible mustang one way to Miami from Port Charlotte. When I arrived, they said "we do not have that type of car." They put me in a jeep compass. I got 10 miles down the road and the tire pressure indicator light came on. I stopped - flat tire. I called the rental office and they said "call road side assistance on the key chain - they will either come out with a new tire or new vehicle" I called. They said it could be a couple hours. They also said they would not deliver a new tire and that a new vehicle would take 4-6 hours. I had an appointment. I changed the tire to the doughnut (note: the new Jeep compass does not have pedal or lever activated emergency brakes - its an obscure button and "park" is not sufficient to keep the SUV from rolling!) - I gave them the address that I would be at for my appointment, they said they could not be there in my time frame. I called the local office back and they told me to call national. I called national office and they said to call local. Local finally agreed that when I brought the vehicle back I would get a replacement. I had been on my way to Miami and had to back track 30 minutes to do so. Overall loss of time was about 2.5 hours due to poor maintenance and poor customer support. Add this to the issue of them renting a vehicle not in stock and I will never use Budget/Avis again.

Pros:

reserved a car for a Thursday pick up and a Sunday drop off. For a Sunday drop off I was given the choice of the CVG airport or Montgomery Rd. I chose the Montgomery Rd location. Sunday morning went to look up the address and the google page said it was closed. Called Hertz customer service and they assured us we could do a drop off there. Drove an hour to the location, its closed, big sign on door NO OVERNIGHT DROP OFFS. Called customer service, they said take car to the Kemper Rd location. Got to that location sign on door THIS LOCATION IS CLOSED FOR REMODELING. Called customer service again, they couldn't help, transferred us to roadside assistance. We were on hold for 55 minuets and they just hung up. Called the Montgomery Rd unit on Monday, they said they would not count the vehicle as checked in until they could spare someone to go to the second location and bring the car back.

Cons:

Every part of this experience could have been better, except the price, the price was good

Pros:

Excellent customer service! Busy day at the rental place, staff worked incredibly quickly and efficiently to get me out the door early! Car was nice too, basically new and plenty of room.
