Avis did not have any cars available for anyone at the Austin airport tx location. Told they may have cars in 3-4 hours but probably not what you originally reserved. No way to do business. Went to another onsite rental car company who had available cars for a lower rate.

Front desk girl was not so friendly. Didn’t give clear instructions no paperwork was given she seemed like she didn’t want to be there. Asked for my drivers license and a card so I gave it to her. Then she gave me a #k6 didn’t know what that meant so I asked what it means she just looks at me like I’m dumb and says that’s where the car is parked…um ok so I went but I didn’t even get paperwork I didn’t sign anything. I was too tired to go back and ask because it was pretty late so I left.

We booked online with kayak, but when we got to the Avis ticket counter, they said they didn’t honor same day booking site reservations, and refused to provide a car for us. We ended up having to go with budget, which ended up being cheaper anyway.

We had a very negative experience. We dropped off our car at 5:00 am when they were closed and they are now claiming damage to our vehicle that was not there when we dropped off the car. I would not recommend using this company at all.

Sadly I had ordered a Volkswagen Polo ‘or equivalent’ and was issued with a Toyota Yaris, with no ApplePlay, 85,000km, and several, significant, scratches and bumps
