The hotel restaurant was quite expensive as was the room
Found Staff to be very pleasant and extremely helpful Have recommended this hotel to all my family and friends!
I had booked for a non smoking room and was allocated a smoking room. Minor point but it was still an oversight on the hotels part.
Very good breakfast. It is in a strategic position in the very center of Belfast. Nice and clean the relax area (pool, jacuzzi, turkish bath) the staff was not very friendly, they speak fast and with a strange accent, difficult to be understood. The internet costs a lot 3£ / 1 h.
friendly atmosphere, good attentive staff in restaurant car park facilities - but this is probably the same in other hotels
Being within walking distance to the shops as this was a Christmas shopping trip. Nothing, liked everything
I Liked the fact the Hotel was not too close and not too far from the shopping centre and the main square. The only thing i didnt like was the quality of food been served during evening meal.
Location Carpets in hallways and dining area were dirty.
Location location location No
Rooms are very clean, comfortable and modern
Convenience of location Paying heavily to park
Proximity to city centre and odysey arena where we were attending an event.
Staff and food Room could have been cleaner
The Staff were helpful but obviously frustrated breakfast was chaos and it took 30 mins to organise paying for parking in an alternative garage
Close to the City Centre ,Lovely views and relaxed setting in bar The only thing I disliked was the price of parking, Very Excessive
The beds are so comfortable. Bar is lovely. Room was a bit cold, fault with air conditioning.
Excellent value. Great breakfast. Nice views over Belfast. Hotel now 10 years old. Maintenance not given priority - damaged bathroom door, difficult bath/shower tap. Room 309.
The staff were fantastic especially John at the desk who dealt with our bags and got us a taxi, wonderful people you have working at the belfast hilton, hope to be back again soon
Very pleasant and comfortable hotel no
The bedroom was very comfortable and quiet and facilities were good. Breakfast was disappointing. Several items were not in the trays and had to be requested - pork sausages, mushrooms, potato bread, crispy bacon. They were supplied with a rather bad grace and crispy bacon never appeared at all. The food generally was under cooked . No fried eggs were available. The tea pot had no lid - a saucer was used.
convenience of location, surroundings, modern style
We got upgraded when we got there due to overbooking, i was extremely impressed with that and i found the staff friendly and helpful.I will be going back There is nothing to complain about we had and excellent holiday
The homleness of the whole stay in the hotel and the food brill and pleasent staff we really enjoyed our stay thankyou Nothing everything was perfect...Inever look at reviews
clean room, good breakfast, easy to get to city centre, good parking
everything had a fab time thank you n love belfast will go vback again soon.
The hotel was great, the staff was very helpful, and I am going to miss the Breakfast.
Clean, modern, friendly staff, good food Very noisey - could clearly hear people talking in other rooms and the corridor at all hours. Difficult to sleep
My Mum & I had an Amazing time could'nt Fault this Hotel or any of the staff in any way.
Good breakfast choice, clean hotel with a good location with a very modern look to it. Checking out took longer than it should as only one desk was in use (there are 3 in total). There was a queue which should not happen around peak times (ie I was checking out at noon)
Staff were very friendly and patient. My booking wasn't registered with the hotel when i arrived. Unsure if this was a booking.com error or hotel. However the problem was promptly resolved and i had a very pleasant stay.
Convient downtown hotel. Helpful staff, great amenities. Historic grand dame. Bit pricey.
Comfortable, very clean, polite staff and good food
Location and room layout
Location was good and the room was clean. I felt the clientel were suited to a stag/hen party atmosphere. The fighting outside the door was not helpful to ensuring a comfortable stay.
Great location, great staff! Room was spacious for 3 people! Enjoyed it very much! Highly recommend
Great location arrived by train, Great Victoria Street station immediately adjacent to hotel. Concierge were very helpful in arranging tours. The room was not large but was comfortable and very clean.
The very helpful Staff!!
The availability of the Piano Bar into the small hours
Fast, friendly service, excellent food & accommodation, efficient late bar and the valet car parking facility in a busy City centre is a definate plus.
Size and cleanliness of room and large screen TV Poor for guest car parking - I found this a big disappointment
Good room - excellent resturant - great location Was able to write clean me in the dust on the wardrobe shelf. My colleague was unable to check in until after 3pm and only then because we insisted that a room be made available before we left for an afternoon/evening meeting
Rates were cheap and room was clean and warm Comfortable bed Too much noise from next door bar and room was clean but has nothing other than bar soap. You need to even pay for a cup of hot water from lounge. No coffee port in room:
It is located within walking distance of several places. The price is great on a budget, and the room was very clean. Staff was nice. There is not much bathroom privacy, so make sure you are with someone you are comfortable with. I was, so it wasn't much of a problem. Would prefer a bathroom without automatic light so that I can turn it off quickly if used in the middle of the night, so that it doesn't continue to shine into the room for 20 minutes. Also, local bar next door was a bit noisy from our room. For quiet, request a room further away from bar.
There were crumbs on the desk, the fan in the shower had a centimeter of dust on it and the vinyl floors in the bathroom were stained and dirty. The most disgusting hotel room I have ever been in. We booked online at thee times the rate they were advertising at the hotel. Couldn't believe it!
Amazing Room and service would highly recommend The selection of food in the great room
The Merchant is a very luxurious hotel and even though it is in the heart of the City, we were not disturbed by traffic noise in the morning. The staff were very helpful and courteous. We had a lovely experience and would definately return.
Super attentive staff, exquisite decor, yummy breakfast. My favourite shoes on sale in the hotel- bonus! (Christian louboutins) Rooms were stuffy despite air con (windows could not be opened)
Everything, customer service brilliant, highly recommended. Nothing.
Everything about the Merchant was excellent, but the quality of the room really stood out. We stayed in room 528 (a Deco deluxe room) and the view across to Victoria Square and the City Hall was worth the room rate on its own.
staff were excellent without being over the top. Very friendly abd accomodating. The decor is amazing and food excellent nothing I could not fault it
The Merchant is a stunningly gorgeous hotel, the beauty of the building is only outshone by the excellence of the staff. Nothing.
The management and staff were outstanding and very helpful. I would recommend this hotel to anyone, especially those who enjoy a little bit of luxury. No tea/coffee facilities in the room.
hotel had a luxurious yet cosy feel to it would have liked coffee making facilities in room .
Lovely breakfast experience with lovely dining room, great location, staff all very nice Rooms whilst really lovely were very darkly lit and a bit small given the price.
Everything at Malmaison Belfast was outstanding! The staff was great and helpful for anything you needed and could arrange things like black taxi tours, room service, and recommend various restaurants and things to see. The rooms are gorgeous and very spacious. Shower pressure is great! The location is also ideal, being right across the street from Victoria Place shopping Center and other sights to see. Overall great experience and would absolutely recommend everything!
Great location, nice clean hotel friendly staff. The only point that could be improved upon was drections -staff could improve on this point. Otherwise very nice friendly people. See above
It was in the perfect location
Friendly, efficient staff. Convenient location. Comfortable rooms. Nicely designed and furnished rooms. 'Quirky' details. Would like brighter reading lamps in bedrooms.
We liked the decor, comfort and the attitude of the staff
Friendly and helpful.
Great location. The bed was excessively hard.
An excellent, really funky hotel; I'd definitely stay there again. There wasn't a bath!
Location, friendliness of staff and general high standards of hotel No parking, although large car park across from hotel - quite expensive daily rate though, perhaps hotel could try and negotiate a special rate for guests
Decore and the staff
TThe hotel had a nice relaxed, friendly atmosphere. Was close to everything and the staff.were lovely
Excellent value, central location, spotless room, pleasant and helpful staff.
The whole thing was great from the staff to the location I would recommend this hotel to anyone and dare them to find fault!!!! Bar was very pricy
Fast friendly checking, good wifi, good location, lovely rooms. Water could have been a degree or two warmer in the shower but i like it really hot and it was nonetheless fine.
location very limited and paid parking
It was central to the shoppnig area and close to my business appointment There was no roon in the hotel car park
The Park Inn Hotel is new built, bright and clean with friendly staff, it is located central to Befast City and is a short bus or taxi journey from Belfast City airport. None really, bar prices were what you would expect for a central city location.
close to pubs clubs food in hotel was good and reasonably priced having to put money on room account meant i got stung for al lthe drink
very clean, good heating system, quiet, central location, friendly staff, good pub. pub smoking area- metal chairs very cold to sit on, also outdoor heater would be appreciated.
hotel warmth N/A
Loved it's central location. Very accommodating and appreciated their attention especially in locating a forgotten camera.
Great location mere blocks to central Belfast at a good rate for such a nice hotel in the center of a major city. Parking was a little far away and pricey. Staff while hopeful weren't as friendly as I'm used to. That may be a cultural thing because I'm American and I had previously spent a week in the 'warmer' Republic of Ireland but I found the staff here and at other places in the North to be much less likely to greet you or strike up a conversation. Not a huge deal but for me it helps to make me feel welcomed in a new place.
hotel was freezing cold, the food at the wedding reception was non existent, (not sure whether that was at hotels expense or wedding party) the food that was served was cold, i had stomach problems following day.
Everything from the food, the staff and room service. N/A
Very luxurious hotel in the centre of Belfast Paid my bill on checking out and was asked had I used anything in mini bar, which I replied no,we never do.On checking my credit card account I was charged £9.50 on a seperate transaction I phoned the hotel and was informed the charge was for three packets of nuts and a bottle of water from the mini bar.I was told it must have been a mistake and apologized for the error.A refund was to be made to my card. Careless mistake by someone but I was not pleased.
It's city centre location is excellent and having a very good restaurant on site with late night entertainment really made the night worthwhile.
bed very comfy and quiet and its central position. the reception was very dark and uninviting, it wasnt suitable to sit and relax in.
This hotel needs serious renovation. The price did not match the quality by a long shot. The hotel needs to improve it's customer service.
very relaxing hotel friendly staff and right in the heart of Belfast
everything was first class, from friendliness of staff to the quality of the room and the food. the price was a bit steep, I probably could have got somewhere equally as nice in Belfast for cheaper.
Piece & quiate.
I love staying in this hotel on this occasion I mixed up our departure date and the staff were really understanding and allowed us to retain our room for the extra night.I particularily love the whole atmosphere at this hotel and it is always my hotel of choice when visiting Belfast. Nothing we did not like.
very friendly staff made very wecome highly recommanded, only down fall is there is no customer carparking facilities which would highly recommand the hotel to put in place, fanatastic location, clean and great food and service,
The staff at this hotel were excellent! The receptionist was friendly and efficient as was the girl running the breakfast service in the morning.
Friendliness and helpfullness of the staff, meals within the hotel Room we were in must have been near a karaoke bar as there was some noise from that during the night
Large comfortable room and perfect city center location Would have preferred on site secure parking even at extra cost.
The best thing is the location The heating system was not up to the expectation. I had to wait for a long time before the room is warm enough, and even then, I did not feel that the room was warm enough. The room was not as spacious as the photos in the website.
Great location. Lovely rooms, bar and staff and service superb! Look no further for your stay in Belfast - book here! Absolutely none
The breakfast was the best with a really huge selection of food to choose from. Couldn't fault the room what so ever and was very clean. I had to leave!
Within walking distance of shops in city centre. Staff helpful and efficient.Room clean & comfortable.Good choice for breakfast. Directions given for overnight car parking.
Staff were extremely helpful. B'fast with children free was very reasonable. None
Centrally situated and ideal for Shopping and night life. It is a short walk to the Oddyssey and the museum. No Complaints of any description
Friendly staff with a good attitude
the hotel was very handy for our city break well situated and easy to find the room was clean and staff friendly the window handle was broken and some traffic noise kept us awake
Good central location Harsh lighting in bedroom
My Mam and I really enjoyed our stay here. The location was excellent and the staff were most helpful. Our room was spotlessly clean and very comfortable. I would highly recommend this hotel to anyone and will definitely be back.
Breakfast was tasty and the staff were lovely. The hotel location was also great The room was overly warm but other than that everything was good!
None I really thought Paying for wireless internet and paying for breakfast is a complete iInsult!!!!!!!!! I would never stay in this chain hotel ever again! The staff were Aweful as well.
location room was cold and when the heater was turned on it just made 2 much noise and was dusty.. couldnt sleep well
Liked the location and good access to city centre shops, restaurants and other venues Heater in room was poor in that it was difficult to control the temperature and bathroom towels were not of great quality.
Room was clean and everything worked. Cannot complain for the price I paid. It's a budget hotel. It was decent for the money.
The helpfulness of the Reception staff was excellent. In fact all the staff were very helpful and cheerful. The small entrace lift for Disabled people and wheelchairs is difficult to get out of, if like me you are unaccompanied.
Excellent location - very close to city centre and Waterfront friendly helpful professional staff clean ,nicely decorated room comfortable bed Choco machine not working - i,m a choco-holic need night - time supply!
rooms clean and comfortable.staff very friendly no where to leave bags before check in
Location Room size too small windows not shutting properly
Good services. Good location close to City Centre and tour pick up points Outside and inside noise.
nothing totally disappointed was looking out at a blank wall no light in the room, no spoon to make tea,on two occassions when we left room we had to get staff to let us in as the door was faulty, was wakened from seven with piegeons cooing, staff wre exellent at all times breakfast lovely but i have stayed at hotels like premier inns for fifty pounds and the rooms and facilities were 5 times better wont be going back or recomending it!
Hotel was next to Crown Liquor Saloon and other good pubs. Staff was very nice. Double bed was smaller than most singles I have seen. Would not recommend to travelers/couples doubling up.
I got exactly what i expected from my stay good value clean room and great location.I would have no hesitation booking again.
Hotel has prices advertised in euro but would only accept pound. having to walk for half an hour in the lashing rain to find somewhere to change our currency as we arrived late
location could do with a bigger bath and an easier shower to use
The close proximity to the city centre and the shops No hotel bar. Very noisy, better double glazing/soundproofing required
situation -close ti city centre the room was very poorly lit [natural light] and the view was dismal, also at 7.a.m. workmen at the back of the office block we looked out on starting emptying skips. it's a pity we couldn't get rooms next to each other, the internal phone did not work, so we had to go to our son's room on a diferent floor when we wanted to speak to him.
