10.0 Excellent
Pros: Very good hotel with private beach and good selection of restaurants and bars. Train station is littersly minutes away if interested visiting towns near by. The room was comfy with everything needed, including a Kettle.
9.5 Excellent
Pros: Good breakfast, only 2 hot options but the bacon was tasty. Pool, restaurants and private beach are what set this hotel apart from others at Camogli.
9.5 Excellent
Pros: Beautiful location and the staff were all lovely!
9.3 Excellent
Pros: We loved the views from the hotel. Fantastic location. We stayed in the pink building on the top level, not a seafront room but on the side with a view down the coast & a cute balcony. We loved it.
Cons: If you didn’t have a room with a view & a small balcony then it would be a waste of money. Some staff were not so friendly.
7.5 Good
Pros: Water front
Cons: Expensive for the room we gor
9.5 Excellent
Pros: Beautiful location and gorgeous rooms. Great food. Would definitely stay there again.
Cons: Very expensive.
8.8 Excellent
Pros: The relaxed atmosphere
Cons: The fact that some sunchairs on the front row at the beach could be bought and reserved, this vip separation was a bit odd and unfair sometimes people did not even show up but the best spots could not b e used... strange politics there. It is already an exclusice hotel that is expensive you should be able to use the private beach freely.
9.5 Excellent
Pros: Room was very clean and the bed very comfortable. The staff is friendly and helpful. Good quality breakfast, excellent restaurant, amazing view. The free parking is a plus
Cons: Nothing
7.5 Good
Pros: Phenomenally situated with phenomenal, truly breathtaking picturesque views over the water and the village in an old school, somewhat dated, hotel with the grandeur of yore. The restaurant has one of the best views I know and offers good, rich, old-school Italian cuisine with friendly staff.
Cons: pool was closed for works and the private beach facilities were still closed and that information was not available while booking.

10.0 Excellent
Pros: Very safe and homely, room decor was beautiful
Cons: The breakfast was a little too sweet (sugary, cakes, no savoury)
9.5 Excellent
Pros: Very nice atmosphere, felt like home. Host was very great, she made breakfast each day in a nice dining area. Room was large and had nice finishes. Bathroom was nice as well.
Cons: The location was close to the train station but many of the shops and restaurants near by were closed and never seemed to be open at normal hours.
8.3 Excellent
Pros: A lovely building and the lady at reception was extremely welcoming and helpful. Very near the railway station and also some nice eating places.
Cons: The TV was out of action...not a big deal since I didn't go to Italy to watch television. However, there was nobody there in the evening to raise the issue.
8.3 Excellent
Pros: The staff were very polite, helpful and accommodating .The premises clean and breakfast was nice. Permitted to keep our suit cases at premises after check out as our flight was in the evening.
Cons: The approach to the premises has a flight of stairs before lift , with suit cases can be a bit of an inconvenience. Maybe that with breakfast there be cooked food, even if it just baked beans on the menu.
7.5 Good
Pros: Palazzo, good life cation
Cons: Breakfast was good, but maybe not as good as other reviews suggested!
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Staff/owners were lovely... couldn't be more welcoming or helpful. 5 minutes walk to bus and train station so ideal for getting about but close enough to walk to old town etc.
Cons: Nothing
9.3 Excellent
Pros: The staff were beyond friendly and so accommodating and welcoming! The staff provided us with options for our stay there, what we could do and where to eat, which was always amazing! Would highly recommend and we'll be coming back!
Cons: A lot of banging around, not during the night but during the day. The cleanliness wasn't fantastic but still good!

Featured amenities include dry cleaning/laundry services, luggage storage, and laundry facilities.
8.8 Excellent
Pros: Very modern style in a very old building. Tricky to find though in the rabbit warren that is old Genoa. Those streets must date back over 200 years and Iyhink I got lost more there than.in Venice!
5.5 Okay
Pros: The staff were lovely and the room was cleans.
Cons: So unsafe, no cameras and it seems to be in the middle of nowhere.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Charming little apartment with a sick view and by the old town and church :)
Cons: Some dodgy neighboring street but it’s not unsafe
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Absolutely loved the hotel, perfect location close to the centre and the port. Great breakfast selection, everything was top! And add a lift to the square for the bus!
Cons: Nothing!!!
9.5 Excellent
Pros: Beautifully restored floor of an old palace that was used for dignitaries in the 15th century. Quite unique and modern. Quiet. Great location for visiting Genova & day trips.
Cons: Difficult to find. Park at Porto Antico near aquarium, walk across street, enter at Delfin bar & put Santa Maria delle Vigne into your phone. It is across from this church. You cannot drive to the hotel. It seems like a sketchy area if you arrive at night, but it is fine. Many stores, restaurants nearby.
9.5 Excellent
Pros: It felt like living in an apartment due to the hotel being part of a residential building. The setting opposite the Sancta Maria della Vigne church is perfect.
Cons: If you aren't too clever climbing steep stairs up or down to the bed area, be vigilant when booking your room..some have beds on the level..best enquire from hotel if booking which room number has bed on level if you have problems with stairs..
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Really beautiful and spacious. Modern upgrades throughout.
Cons: Nothing
8.8 Excellent
Pros: We were very impressed with the friendly, helpful staff at Hotel le Nuvole who went out of their way to make our stay here very pleasant.

9.5 Excellent
Pros: Very clean rooms and free water/coffee on shared place.
Cons: It is dark in the nights to find hotel.
Hotel La Camogliese - Camogli - Building
4
9.1 Excellent (582 reviews)
Overview Reviews
With a stay at Hotel La Camogliese, you'll be centrally located in Camogli, within a 15-minute drive of San Fruttuoso Abbey and Camogli Beach. Featured amenities include express check-in, express check-out, and dry cleaning/laundry services.
9.5 Excellent
Pros: Location was perfect, right in the centre of Comogli. Lift takes you down from railway station to the main street that the hotel is on. This is very handy to know although many didn't, but we did advise people we found struggling down the steep steps with suitcases. The railway gives cheap and easy travel to many coastal resorts as well as Genoa, hence the location of this hotel was perfect! The owners and staff couldn't have been nicer or better informed and they were so knowledgeable about the area and facilities and nothing was too much trouble such as printing out train times and details, on the many occasions we asked. I originally inadvertently booked a small room, which would have been fine for a short stay but too small for a 9 day stay, but fortunately they were able to move us without any problem or fuss. The cleanliness was outstanding as was the friendliness of all the staff, cleaners, breakfast lady, receptionists and owners, who also work there. We had a problem with the fridge not chilling as it should which we reported at night, they put our white wine in the hotel fridge to chill and the next day ours was fixed. Cannot praise or recommend it highly enough!
Cons: The hairdryers in the rooms are not the best - the bathroom wall type - but I borrowed one from reception which was fine. I think they are aware of the problem which is why they have them behind reception.
9.3 Excellent
Pros: Staff very helpful Comfortable bed and pillows
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Lovely, friendly and helpful staff. Superb location right on beach.
Cons: Nothing!
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Very good hotel in a really good location.
8.8 Excellent
Pros: Excellent location, comfortable room and very friendly and helpful staff.
Cons: Rooms are rather noisy (not very soundproof). And if you are on the streetside and like to sleep with the windows (slightly) opened to get some fresh air, it get’s even noisier because it’s a rather busy and noisy area at night.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Friendly and welcoming staff Superb Location Wonderful service and clean rooms
9.5 Excellent
Pros: Friendly staff. Good breakfasts with vegan options. Close to train station
Cons: Price a bit high

8.0 Excellent
Pros: All was good except that the pool is really too small
Cons: The swimming pool
9.5 Excellent
Pros: The spa downstairs is gorgeous. Staff are amazing. The hotel really does live up to expectations. All round, an excellent stay!
Cons: Provide Ice water in the reception especially when it’s hot.
7.0 Good
Pros: The interior design of the hotel (although rooms are quite outdated) Price was fair Nice view on the terrace Staff tries to be helpful
Cons: Location: quite far from the city center, and next to the train station (definitely not the best location for evening walks) Absence of pool, while hot tub is just next to the restaurant tables (I.e. someone could be having bath just next to you eating) Rooms are very small, furniture is antique, but in quite bad condition Parking costs 25 eur + TAX (which you’re not informed about btw), and you need to wait while they bring your car back. Several times we had to wait for 15-20 minutes! Breakfast is not 5* level (they use palm oil for frying, and it tastes quite badly) Ironing room is on one floor, and for whatever reason you need to ask someone bring you an iron, because it’s not there! It is quite weird to have 1 iron for the hotel which supposed to be 5* Extremely limited choice of food for out-of working hours of the restaurant (eg late evening, for instance )
5.0 Okay
Pros: The location
Cons: This hotel cannot be rated as a 5 stars, it doesn't deserve the rating it got on booking.com so far. Below are some of the things that were really wrong with this hotel: - the room itself: is very dated, while the old style of the room is to be appreciated, the furnishing and bed covers were very old, I am not even sure when was the last time that orange bed cover or bed head were washed. - the breakfast: the idea to have someone play piano during breakfast is nice, but it was way too loud. Also the service was a bit understaffed if you were deciding to have breakfast after 9h30, they were barely managing to find you a table, get you coffee etc. - the parking: this was our biggest disappointment. we paid 75EUR for 3 nights to have our car parked in a secure parking and when we got it the last day, it was scratched. I find this unacceptable, especially that both the parking valet and the lady at the reception said in Italian (so that we don't understand, but we did) that we complain too much and that you cannot even see the scratch. - you cannot sleep after 9 o'clock in this hotel, the cleaning lady starts cleaning a bit before 9 and wakes up everyone with the noise, sometimes on holiday guests would appreciate sleeping late. Overall, this hotel needs refurbishing to live to its 5 stars standard, the services need to be improved.
3.3 Mediocre
Cons: Dirty, expensive
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Great ambiente of Genovas ancient days of glorious merchant times. Like the movie Grand Budapest.
Cons: The pools are place in the terreace with all the guest, that was not comfortable for its use.
6.8 Good
Cons: Not a very clean place.Needs repainting and redecorating.Definitely NOT a 5 star standard. Piano player at breakfast was playing so loud we barely could hear each other speaking.
8.8 Excellent
Pros: Breakfast was very good, it has a good selección of fruits, bread, cold meats, juic
Cons: We arrived and there was no one in the reception no one to help with luggage

Pros: Great location and great design particularly roof terrace

10.0 Excellent
Pros: Breakfast was amazing
6.8 Good
Pros: The hotel is very good, nice and clean, lovely design. The rooms are spacious, clean and comfortable. Nothing to complain.
Cons: The location of the hotwl is right in the old town. However, the old town is not safe at all! Everybody recommends to stay away from the dark and deserted alleys even during afternoons on sundays, but there is no way to the hotel without crossing the alleys! Especially if you are coming from the parking garage the hotel recommends at the port, it is not a pleasant walk at all.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Great location and very friendly people. The Terrasse and the breakfast was great
Cons: Difficult to get by foot to the hotel
6.8 Good
Pros: Nice bed
Cons: Location, overrated, bad AC system,

Pros: The hotel was amazing it had original ceilings from the 14th century. I thought the red Smeg fridge in the bedroom was a nice touch and the bathroom was of particularly high standard. The breakfast was good with all the pastries made in the hotel. There was also an amazing large relaxing lounge/library with coffee machine. The hotel was tastefully decorated and furnished in keeping with its history.
Cons: Nothing to dislike
Ostellin Genova Hostel - Genoa - Building
8
9.0 Excellent (583 reviews)
Overview Reviews
With a stay at Ostellin Genova Hostel in Genoa (Genoa Historical Centre), you'll be within a 5-minute walk of Palazzo Rosso and Chiossone Museum of Oriental Art (Museo d'Arte Orientale). Featured amenities include a 24-hour front desk, luggage storage, and laundry facilities.
6.3 Good
Pros: Location is in the middle of the town. Feel so homey
Cons: Hostel doesnt have elevator you have to climb up to 2 floor with your luggage. Moreover the building is also located on the step you have to walk about 50 meter on the step way before you reach there. Room doesnt have air con so in summer they open all the door and window on the dorm so that the wind can flow. But where is the customer privacy? And safety? They also provide the fan to us,thank for that but its just for some bed thats is the bad thing that you can only see someone have a fan and you just sit and been so hat on that time
8.0 Excellent
Pros: Very nicely decorated in the communal areas and dorms, and a well equipped kitchen with a fridge and plates and cutlery to use. The staff were very accommodating and gave you a tour when you arrived and recommend places to go in Genoa!
Cons: The bathrooms weren’t very clean but they were shared between everyone in the hostel, also the other dorm mates were much older than myself and my friend but they were still friendly. Also the stairs up to the hostel are very uninviting and almost scary- best not to arrive at night maybe!
7.0 Good
Pros: Convenient location in walking distance to almost everywhere; big kitchen, where everyone feels at home; helpful personnel, which also recommended a funny and educative walking tour from Spyros
Cons: Very hot and noisy from the street
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Everything. Lovely staff, great ideas on what to see in the city and around, absolutely amazing kitchen and basic but well appreciated breakfast. Although the more I travel the less tolerant I am with dormitories and snoring roommates here I had no problem at all, probably because the room had a great stucture as in the ventillation was just great and there was a huge space so everybody could have a sort of privacy. The location is perfect, couldnt be better. On our last day we could participate in a walking tour organised by the hostel and a guy with who they cooperate with, it was the best way for us, low budget travellers who can't sit on their bums :)
Cons: Seriously, everything was great, I can't complain.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The hostel is clean, spacious, and in an amazing old building. It’s located in a totally central spot with everything in walking distance. They have everything you need - washing machine, iron, hairdryer, kitchen etc and the staff are just so lovely! Special shout out to Federico who was brilliant- full of recommendations (all of which were awesome) and always willing to chat.
Cons: A few guests slightly on the odd side, but I guess that’s the mystique of hostel life.
7.5 Good
Pros: Great location and showers!
Cons: Super super hot with no fans. Below average breakfast
8.3 Excellent
Pros: Superb location, right in the heart of the city. The staff were very friendly and the apartment where we stayed was nicely done. The hostel's extra information, sent by email, such as local recommendations for food and gelato were a great bonus!
Cons: Felt a bit odd that the hostel staff shared the same apartment (as they were using the same kitchen and bathrooms as us). The breakfast wasn't great with excessively sweet cereals and stale pre-made toast!
8.8 Excellent
Pros: The location is just nice. I went everywhere on foot. Both train stations are at a walking distance, and there is a metro nearby and plenty of bus stops. The room was big enough for 8 people, and there was a private toilet connected. The showers were available almost always. It was quiet after 11pm which can be both an advantage and disadvantage. The building itself is in the old house, very authentic.
Cons: One of the showers lacked a shelf or anything where to put clothes and soaps on. The breakfast was reallly basic but I guess that's expected from a continental breakfast. After 11pm the kitchen was closed, and lights were out in the common space, so no place to work or hang out.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: A wonderful hostel, very comfortable room, friendly staff. The staff provided us with a Google map with recommended places to eat and sights to see, and this was very useful. Everything was just perfect for me and my two sons. We strongly recommend this place.
Cons: Everything was great.
9.3 Excellent
Pros: The staff were very friendly and helpful. Bathrooms are clean and a simple breakfast is included.
Cons: Bedroom was a little bit stuffy as I visited during the hot summer (blame the weather haha!).

9.3 Excellent
Pros: The staff were excellent and the food was some of the best we have had in a hotel
Cons: The bed was a little hard
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Very nice building with shiny marble floor in the lobby, it looks like a small mansion. The room is spacious, bed is comfortable , bathrooms is nice with large and fluffy towels. Breakfast is excellent with a great selection of cheese, pancake, fruits, etc. They have free parking in the yard. The hotel has a beautiful garden with large trees, and a swimming pool. It is in a quiet suburb of Genova, but the center is only 15 minutes by taxi, and it only costs 12 EUR for a ride . It is a much better option than staying in the noisy center of Genova where parking is impossible and traffic is crazy. Here you can relax ,and take a taxi to the center if you want. The hotel is very easy to reach , as it is close to the motorway.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Very Good
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Very grand old style villa hotel set in beautiful grounds.
Cons: Nothing. It was perfect.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The breakfast was amazing both the DIY and a la carte with a huge offer of amazing and fresh local food. I asked for an egg Benedict which was wonderful.
Cons: I came back after a evening out in Genoa at 1am and I need to wait 15 minutes outside after many attempts ringing the Intercom I need to call the reception to draw their attention.
7.5 Good
Pros: The room was spacious and with the sea view.
Cons: Breakfast very poor but hot dishes (like fried eggs etc) for additional price only.
8.3 Excellent
Pros: The breakfast was stunning with lots of fresh fruit! Eggs are made to order at no extra charge. Hotel is located right by the beachwalk, which offers gorgeous views and access to the water.
Cons: I could feel the mattress springs in my back - had a hard time sleeping. They definitely need to replace the mattress.

4.3 Okay
Pros: Location
Cons: No room service. Guests must walk to the lobby to get shampoos/towels. Car valet isn’t actually a car valet. Once you give the lobby your car’s key, you cannot have your car until the next morning.
9.5 Excellent
Pros: Breakfast, situation in the town, parking, amability of the personnel
Cons: Nothing
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Location cannot be better - the hotel is on the main street, walking distance to most of the museums and to the old port, less than a 100 meters from a subway station that leads to the two major railway stations in Genoa. The breakfast was great, especially if you choose to sit on the terrace. Our room was relatively large for an hotel, with plenty of closet space. And, of course, the historic staircase in the hotel is an attraction for itself.
9.5 Excellent
Pros: great location. Nice room with comfortable bed. Very high ceilings.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Very clean, so elegant and classy design, spatious room, very good breakfast, center situated.
Cons: Nothing

Pros: Beautiful building with classic decoration. It really feels like a palace. Room was spacious, clean and very comfortable bed. Bathroom had all the amenities and extremely clean. I would definitely recommend it. We had dinner in the restaurant in the hotel as we arrived quite late in the evening. Food was delicious, highly recommended, particularly the tasting menus.
Cons: Nothing.
5.7 Okay
Pros: Not much
Cons: Horrible WIFI. Bad coffee and not many healthy choices at breakfast. Terrible parking. Nowhere to unload the car, the parking is slow, Off site and expensive. The Brustol has no door person and this hotel needs one.

Pros: Every single thing
Cons: Nothing
8.3 Excellent
Pros: Location
Cons: Valet parking expensive and take a lot of time
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Brekfast is good, but one has seen better.
Cons: The garage is a bit laborious to get as you need to ask well in advance to get your car.
8.0 Excellent
Pros: Location!

9.5 Excellent
Pros: This hotel is beautiful with excellent rooms and views of the marina. The staff was welcoming and accommodating, and the buffet breakfast in the morning was excellent. We loved the views and the in-room espresso machine!
Cons: We loved everything about the hotel, it is just that the area at night feels a little run down and questionable. It is important to keep your eyes open if you walk around at night.
9.3 Excellent
Pros: The hotel is just in front of the marina, the room have a balcony with a nice view. The bed is giant and confy !
Cons: The breakfast is really nice but a little expensive
8.8 Excellent
Pros: great location, short drive off the main highway to the airport, on the marina near many family friendly attractions and short distance to walk to the main center of town. Comfortable rooms, had a balcony overlooking the marina you are on. Staff is very accommodating and helpful. There is a restaurant/ bar which is a great place to grab a few drinks before heading to dinner with a cozy patio on the marina.
9.3 Excellent
Pros: This hotel has spacious and comfortable rooms and is in a great location for exploring the old centre of the city just 5 minutes walk away. It also sufficiently far from the main road and flyover along the quayside to avoid the noise and fumes from the traffic. Convenient and accessible on-site parking (if rather expensive).
Cons: It was great to have a balcony on which to sit and admire the cityscape and the yachts moored below - just a pity it was so small that you could barely move on it. Overall however the hotel's communal areas are rather too characterless to feel welcoming - it probably doesn't matter as you will want to sit in pavement cafe or walk the old streets of the nearby city.
9.3 Excellent
Pros: The hotel offers an incredible view of the marina and of the old town which is only a 10 minute walk away. There was a lovely terrace bar to watch the boats bobbing whilst sipping a cold glass of wine.
Cons: There were plastic straws at the bar.
6.8 Good
Pros: The breakfast was good, the breakfast staff were very good (unlike the reception staff, hence my lower overall score for staff). The beds were comfortable and the room and bathroom were cleaned on a daily basis. Our toiletries were replaced when we finished them which is unusual but appreciated.
Cons: The room we booked was advertised as having a view and a terrace, not a balcony but a terrace. If you look at a regular double room it is advertised as a balcony but if you upgrade to a premium room it comes with a terrace. I was gutted when we arrived to find out that the view was the back of the aquarium (like big industrial units) and the terrace was 1x2 ft balcony. We paid a premium to get a view and a terrace and we got neither. Straight away I went down to reception to confirm that we had the correct room and was met by blank stares, the view is the view and all the balcony's are the same size. When I asked if I could get the room with the terrace I was told they did not have any rooms with a terrace. It ruined my holiday, I was expecting somewhere to sit in the sun looking out over the harbour - not a tiny balcony which did not get the sun looking out at industrial units - we were there for 7 nights - it was a slog to stay the whole time and if there had been a way to cancel and get our money back I would have.

Cons: Dated design
9.5 Excellent
Pros: We were very pleased with everything. Staff were helpful, friendly, service and cleanliness excellent. Breakfast was one of the best we've experienced. Location was really peaceful but close to the busy city shops and restaurants and the Marina was very interesting to look out over. The room was sound proofed and very quiet.
8.8 Excellent
Pros: It’s real 4 stars hotel, with all meanings.. It deserves extra half star too
Cons: The floor had grains of sands. Nothing else

Pros: Upgraded to the 5 star hotel next door on arrival which was perfect. We were just there for a night before an early train so a comfortable bed and close proximity to the station were ideal.

Pros: A perfect location next to the train station. The breakfast was excellent. The staff was friendly and the room was spacious.
Cons: Nothing to dislike.

Cons: Everything was great
7.5 Good
Pros: Location, and room design
8.3 Excellent
Pros: Large room and well decorated. Big bathroom. Comfortable couch and bed. Excellent breakfast.
Cons: Pricy and noisy. Being on a near top floor we could hear everyone entering the hotel after the front entrance was closed. Noise carries throughout hallway.
9.3 Excellent
Pros: A very beautiful hotel right opposite the train station Principe, which is very convenient for the ones who want to explore the riviera and surprisingly safe as well. The hotel gave us portable wifi (really useful) and let us use the jacuzzi of the grand hotel savoia. All in all, great experience.
Cons: Breakfast could have been included in price and the reception should stay open 24/7, because after 23:00, you have to enter the hotel through the hotel next door and it s too much trouble. Other than that, everything was great.
9.3 Excellent
Pros: The hotel was clean and cool with effective AC. The position was perfect for us, as we used it as a stopover between Cinque Terre and Lake Garda. It was a little noisy with the traffic outside, but to be expected with it being so central.
Cons: As above, a little noisy and you had to pay extra for breakfast.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: This property was exceptional. It is now probably my favorite hotel. It is absolutely beautiful. The location is fantastic. It is very clean. The complimentary bottle of water they give you each day is a really nice touch. My room (executive double room) was huge. I love this place

Pros: Location was perfect. Close to city centre, restaurants, bars and points of interest. Breakfast was very good and good value at Euro 5. Staff were very friendly and eager to help. They were also happy and welcoming.
Cons: No car parking at the hotel. You need to park at different location which is a little expensive at Euro 22 per day.
8.8 Excellent
Pros: Very central, lovely staff, excellent shower.
Cons: TV was terrible. No Sky, no sport. But was not there to watch TV. Bar fridge was tiny, lacked ice but staff provided.
8.3 Excellent
Pros: The staff was really kind, great and helpful.
Cons: Floor was not really clean, not pleasant for those who remove shoes inside.
8.8 Excellent
Pros: The staff were marvellous and the room was comfortable but a bit small for a large bed .Wi Fi worked well and the buffer style breakfast was excellent. When I return to Genoa,I will stay there again.
Cons: It is no fault of the hotel, but Genoa like most cities in the world has severe parking problems. I was on a motorcycle and had to scour the surrounding streets to find somewhere to park. If you can visit this wonderful city without a car or motorcycle, you will save yourself a great deal of stress.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Staff was very friendly and helpful. Hotel is in a great location - in the old town center, you can easily walk everywhere by feet. We stayed with your dog. We were pleasantly surprised that the staff brought us dog bowls and bed - it was really nice :) Breakfast was good. Wifi was super fast. Room was a bit outdated but the bathroom was really nice and big.
Cons: Room was a bit dark and our window was just a 2 meters from another building wall, but probably in Genoa, it is hard to get a better view since every building is close to each other.
7.0 Good
Pros: The bad was comfortable, good view from the room hotel near to the Porto antico and piazza Ferrari...nice personnel

Meliá Genova - Genoa - Building

8.9 Excellent (1,565 reviews)
Overview Reviews
Meliá Genova is a delicious five-star boutique hotel, located in the elegant residential area of Genoa, just a short walk from the historic center. Classic and imposing on the outside, modern and elegantly decorated in a contemporary style inside, the hotel welcomes its guests in a warm atmosphere, making it the ideal location for corporate and private events, cocktails or celebrations with a refined taste. The historical building was designed by architect Giuseppe Crosa Vergagni in 1929, the same who gave life to the famous and historical Piazza De Ferrari in Genoa city center and other important buildings of the city. Many are the thematic events organized for customers during the year, a journey into the world of art, starting from the cuisine, which underlines paintings exhibitions and live music by always different artists, making Meliá not only a location but an experience to live.
9.3 Excellent
Pros: Yes
Cons: None
5.5 Okay
Pros: The location is good, but if you are not used to walking about and climbing hills then it is not good. The staff were very friendly and we could not criticise them at all. Especially the older gentleman and barman who served us drinks in the evening - thank you. Would have liked an area to sit outside and chill, instead of indoors. The two units outside the hotel looked like to two fish bowls and are not conducive to relaxing.
Cons: The breakfast was reasonable, but we had to ask for coffee instead of in a 5* hotel the person showing you to your table would normally ask you what you would like to drink. Also the orange juice glass container had a fly in it. Not sure what swim stroke it was doing. One night the AC starting dripping on the floor and when we turned the lights on, they blew out. We must admit the hotel fixed the problem straight away. There were no tissues in the room, no shower caps, etc. The small things are what makes a hotel a 5*. Unfortunately we would rate the Melia a 4*+ aiming to be a 5*.
9.5 Excellent
Pros: Lovely hotel, pleasant and professional staff, very nice location within easy walking distance to the historic centre, fantastic breakfast choices and bonus of a little spa area in the basement. This was our second stay and we loved it just as much as the first time.
Cons: Although our room was very nice, the configuration was a little strange - you appeared to enter the bathroom through what looked like a cupboard door beside the bed. Not really an issue - we had a small room this time and when we stayed in a larger room on a previous visit I don't remember the same layout, but it was a little challenging trying to find the door in the middle of the night!
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Really fresh food, and good variety. Plus the best waiter in all of Italy. It was in a great location in a residential neighborhood, but only 10 minutes walking to Christopher Columbus‘s old house in the ancient city. Close to the waterfront, Europe’s largest aquarium, live music concerts, fantastic restaurants, street life, etc.
Cons: I didnt notice if it said the pool was indoors in the literature—I chose this hotel specifically because I wanted to enjoy an outdoor pool. No big deal...
9.3 Excellent
Pros: We enjoyed the spacious and vlean room, the gentleness of the staff and the excellent quality of the breakfast.
Cons: The breakfast coffee should be improved; was not really at the level requested by celebrated italian standards. The garage fee is quite expensive, should be lowered to a more reasonable price
8.3 Excellent
Pros: It's a beautiful historical building in a lovely area, just 5 min walking and you enjoy a stunning view of the sea. Spa zone is nice, but quite small. Breakfast is good, especially the ligurian cuisine corner
Cons: You expect a five star experience but get less. The hotel looks a bit tired - definately needs some renovation. In the bathroom there is a mirror that shoud turn into a tv, but the batteries in the remote control are dead. There is a mini bar and it says if you touch anything it's automatically added to the bill. So if you touched but didn't consume you had to call the reception..
8.8 Excellent
Pros: Great room with a beautiful balcony.
Cons: Restaurant was expensive.
8.8 Excellent
Cons: I didn’t like that it was not available a beauty-kit And I didn’t like the gym .. technology too old or broken
8.8 Excellent
Pros: Hotel was amazing, clean, large rooms and beds. Issues with air con but this was repaired and dealt with by the hotel offering to move us too other room whilst being repaired. Excellent breakfast and we really appreciated as a family the pool.
Cons: Air con issues, leaked in room But was resolved. However checkout was very stressful due to no documented refund being recorded as verbally agreed by manager and taxi was waiting outside!
10.0 Excellent
Pros: All
Cons: Nota
