I wish my friends had frig and microwave. the refrigerator in our room was small, no freezer Coffee maker would be great in the room
Clean room, good location. It was quiet when I stayed there. Staff was friendly. I don't expect a ton of amenities from Motel 6, but I don't think you should have to pay extra for wifi in 2016.
Staff was friendly and there no bedbugs. Room was bare bones. The place was noisy and my husband got very little sleep.
We were there for a ceremony at the Naval Base and it was very convenient. Room was simple, and clean Sign in at 3 P.M.
Cheap No alarm clock or basic motel items like shampoo etc, in room.
This hotel was pretty great considering it was the cheapest hotel we could find. Seemed clean, the staff was friendly and we had a place to lay our head for the night. The room smelled a little bit like mildew.
The location was great. The prices, affordable and the room vey clean!
Older motel but very clean with a great view of the pond. Short easy drive to Newport attractions. There are chairs on the lawn so you can kick back and relax outside. Ask for an upstairs room to enjoy the pond from your outside patio. Small Bath with limited counter space
LOVED this motel! The owners are extremely friendly and kind, the room was clean, bed was comfortable, great location close to downtown Newport, he facilities are well-kept with nice flowers and a nice pond across the parking lot (be sure to check out the sunset!) Would stay again in a heartbeat. n/a
Price was very reasonable for 2 people splitting the cost. It was clean and served the purpose for one overnight for a conference Slow Wifi Pretty bare bones room Not the most comfortable bed
Spacious room. Had to pay for wifi, but yet it was not working.. No mini frigror microwave.
The only thing that I can say good about this particular Hotel Location is the Front Desk employee was great. We did not end up staying here. Dirty bathroom floor, had not been swept at all. There was hair and cigaret ashes beside the toilet. The bed had hair in it and it looked like someone had just rolled out of it. I have stayed at Motel 6 before and always had a great experience. Just did not this time.
little brwon ants on night stand in morning / advised front desk
quick and easy no mini fridge
We were given a smoking room even though we had reserved for a non smoking room. The TV in the room didn't work. There were hairs on the bed sheets. We were told that we couldn't get internet in the room as we hadn't specified an 'internet room' when we booked the hotel - though this was not mentioned on the website.
Good location, easy to access. Reeks of cigarette smoke. Floors not swept recently. Counter tops sticky. Bathroom not clean (bug in tub, hair on floor). Limited handicap parking.
Tia at the front desk was very nice. Other than that nothing came close to being acceptable. The room was filthy with pieces of paper bags and dirt on the floor. The room was not cleaned the first night and we had to go get towels for the morning from the front desk. We came back to the room about midnight. The second night the room was supposedly cleaned however the paper garbage was still on the floor and the sheets were not changed. I know this because there was a very obvious stain on the bedsheet right below where you put your pillow. The room had no box of tissues and the only amenities were two travel soaps. When I asked the desk about the room cleaning the man said it was done and all the towels and bath matts were there. He lied straight out. While I was in the office another man came in and said he was disgusted and wanted to leave despite his reservation for 4 nights. Then another couple came in complaining. It was almost a comedy. The hotel refused to give anyone back any money and the owner/manager was outright nasty. The place was out of date, the towels we did see were threadbare, the mattress springs squeaked and poked, and the shower head was sticking out of a hole in the wall. The pool still had the cover on and it was mid June. This site is not owned by Motel 6 but does use its name. It is making a very bad name for Motel 6.
The motel should have advertised that they were in the middle of full renovations! The place smelled awful and there was dust EVERYWHERE the outside doors to get inside kept getting stuck even though the light turned green showing it accepted my room key! Anytime my boyfriend or I want outside it woukdntake at least 4 tries to get the outside door (C) opened. The place was just so dirty. I really wished they had advertised that they were undergoing renovations because I would have booked a different hotel!
Lower cost A few hours into my sleep around 11 pm very loud noises were heard. This was apparently a family going in and out of the room opposite to me with a small kid. This continues for a good 5 to 10 min.
Clean room and helpful staff. Apparently there are some long term residents who live at the motel and there were some kids hanging out unsupervised making noise and messes in lobby area.
Convenience. Room had a musty odor. Smelled of mold/wet.
I liked that it was conveniently off the highway The bathroom need fixing. They are not property maintained. The rooms look dirty and smell. The bed was supposed to be a Queen size but it looked like a Full size. The bed was very uncomfortable and the sheets didnt look clean. The room didnt have extra pillows or an iron. The only good thing about the room was the big flat screen TV and the AC. The hotel needs a lot of maintenance and TLC. The hallways smelled. There is a pool but it was closed. In speaking to one of the housekeepers, we were told the pool is closed because its too much money to maintain it. I feel that it was too expensive for the quality of the place. I will not be staying here again. I rather pay an extra $20 and stay in a better place.
Cheap and convenient, but the saying goes that you get what you pay for. Well, we didn't even get that. I have paid the same or less at other hotels, and gotten more out of it then here. Flat pillows, no shampoo or conditioner, a single bath towel, even despite the booking showing two adults. The pros, as few as they are, is the room rate was cheap, compared to others in the area, and location was convenient, right off the highway, and as a bonus, across from a Dunkins, for breakfast and coffee.
Room available for last minute booking, fairly reasonable rate, free wifi. The staff was not friendly but efficient. The rooms smelled of smoke. I was almost afraid of sleeping in the bed as the room just seemed outdated and in desperate need of updating.
Poor quality of bed, pillows where super flat , rug had holes and tears
I was travelling with my adult daughter. The owner was very accommodating. It basically did the job of giving us a place to sleep. I am unsure if I would recommend the motel. It would depend on what the person was looking for. I was so focused on location that I didn't pay attention to the stars. There wasn't a mat in the bathroom. The sheets had stains on them. The heat was off and it took a couple of hours to heat.
The grounds were very well landscaped and the buildings were cozy and in great shape. The office staff were gracious and pleasant. The room was very clean - not modern but perfect for my needs for an over night stay near Newport at a reasonable price...

For the price, it was just what I needed. Staying in a clean, quite place was great. I slept well especially with no one above me walking around in the middle of the night. The shower had nice pressure and plenty of hot water. I'll be back
I decided to get of of town for a night and this sounded like a cute little spot to stay. When I showed up it was a very different story! It was very dingy. When I got to my room I was very upset because it seemed very unsafe. The only lock it had was a low quality deadbolt, which was loose, and I could see outside. no chain lock or lock on the door knob itself. Im very petite and I feel like I could have pushed that door down if I really tried. I felt too unsafe and I had to leave. The person at the desk was gone for the day and there was a number to call if you needed to contact someone. Every very time I tried to call, no one answered. I asked for a refund and no one ever got back to me. Extremely disappointed.
The owner gave my son a "Goody Bag" filled with snacks and candies - that was a surprise. The facility is old, and really can use updates.
Staff was very friendly. Room was musty (damp) and bed was very uncomfortable.
I liked the comfort, budget prices and the decor of the room. I did not like the exterior of the hotel-it could use some paint, updating.
Nothing. Cock roaches, Dusty, Dirty and nasty stains on walls and floor...
The room had a little kitchen area very comfortable I would stay here again. Very no frills but it was very cheap. Staff not English speaking, cleaning staff extremely rude and a bit scary. Owners do not shovel walk ways making guest trudge through deep snow.
Stayed in a regular room from July 2- July 4 ($105) and the first room we got which was 144, the AC didn't work too well so the room was so hot, we asked for a room change and got 131, which was pretty decent. Then from July 4- July 5 ($75) my boyfriend and I upgraded to the hot tub rooms, 108, and the first room we got, there was hair left in the hot tub and guess what, we found 2 bed bugs and we were not about that. It was 2 am and we were so frustrated and asked for a room change, 115, and that one ended up alright, and of course we checked for bed bugs carefully. The trash was not taken out, and there was an opened soap bar, meaning someone was in the room before. From all these room changes, we realized that the rooms were not consistent, the bed bug situation was terrible, ACs were bad as well. Overall experience, eh. Nothing We didn't even make it into out room, we cancelled our reservations before entering the room. People were smoking weed in the parking lot. A toothless woman wanted to eat my girlfriends face and the cops were there for a domestic disturbance. Let's just say you should never stay here. Unless you're a crazy person and want to get stolen for sexy trade.
For a base in which to explore Newport at a reasonable rate, the Pineapple Inn met our needs. It was clean motel and the staff were courteous and helpful throughout. It was a relatively well located place for access in and out of Newport, a 10 min cab ride into the centre /or right by the bus stop (a 20 min ride into town).
The staff was very friendly and helpful. All in all a nice Motel at a reasonable price. I’d stay there again ...
On that particular weekend (Jazz Festival) their rate were much beeterr than most hotel. 1 The overall cleanliness of the room was not whay I am accustomed. Wasn't able to switch to another room closer to the front of hotel.
Staff was alright... room was a nice size but was not clean by any means.. alright if you need a cheap place is a hurry for a short time..
Large room. Well equiped. good price. Room was not very clean. Watercloset was blocked. One night in the room is okay, not longer.
very confortable. large room. well equiped
Good location, easy to get on main route through Rhode island, near main harbor. Very, very good value.
Very convenient to where I was visiting for the weekend. One of the blankets had a stain on it.
staff was helpful..front desk gave us clean sheets very bad housekeeping..room and sheets were very dirty. Perhaps it is time for a new housekeeper?
The location was good. I would give the hotel a one star. The place was old and only worth 10% of rate charged. I do not recommend this place to anyone.
Nothing!! This place is a dump. could not get out of staying there. I was so upset. I was forced to stay. was told I would be charged anyway even if I chose not to stay there. had to purchase bedsheets and water shoes. the mattress had mold on it and smelled horrible. the tub did'nt drain and looked dirty. everything in the room was sticky. will tell everyone dont even think about staying there. had to use the quilts on the beds for the floor, We woke up to back aches and couldnt wait to get out!! They should have paid me to stay there!! Nothing!!!!!!!

The room was clean and cozy sleeping without the sound of traffic. The room I was in needed a paint job on the walls other than that I had a very nice stay. All I needed was right there. Italian restaurant right next door and a market just down the road. No! I liked my stay which was for 4 days and would tell my friends.
This hotel was near the hospital and my daughter was having a baby so it was convenient. This hotel was very dirty. The bed had not been changed over from the last guests. The shower was dirty. When I booked the room it said it was a super 8 hotel with Continental breakfast, when we got there it was a motel 6 and no breakfast.
The location was fine Bugs, attitude and dirt = BAD
There was nothing at all that I liked about this motel. The sheets were yellow with stains, the room smelled musty and unclean, toilet seat was broken and the shower was so filthy we didn't dare use it. DO NOT STAY HERE

The property was just about what I expected. I went solely for price and location and did not have any great expectations. The room was outdated; but, clean and the wi-fi worked.
The room was a generous size. King size bed, breakfast table, and full size work desk. Mini fridge and microwave were in the room as well. The mattress was hard, only 3 flat pillows, bedding not only had holes but also had strange stain marks all over. The chairs also had stain marks. There was dents on multiple walls as well as doors. The shower was moldy and there was hair in the sink all over the facet handles. The sink was too large for the small bathroom. Our room was the only one I saw without a peep hole in the door as well. The lack of repairs makes this place seem like they don't care much about maintenance or cleanliness. Also the non smoking room still had a strong smoke odor through out the hallway. No Wifi was available in the room.
It was close enough to affordably Uber to Providence. The staff wasn't very nice or accommodating. The outside of the Rumford Motor Inn is poorly lit and looks dingy. Once receiving our key and TV remote from the front desk, we made our way to the room. The hallway smelled of smoke and there were stains all over the carpet and walls. Once in the room, the bathroom had pieces of the ceiling that were shedding onto the surfaced and the toilet paper roll had been dropped into some sort of liquid. The bathroom fan made an awful rusty fan noise as well. The bed was terrifying. If we had any other options of places to stay, I wouldn't have even chanced it. The bed, including the mattress, was covered in yellow and brown stains and had burn holes in the blankets. I would not recommend this place to anyone.
Knew immediately that I couldn't stay here, didn't even bother to see if it was tolerable This place should be bulldozed to the ground
Staff was not friendly. There were blood stains on our sheets-- NOT FROM US. You could hear the couple beside us cussing and having gross sex. Someone had an awful, loud dog. And, our room had hair in the sink and shower as well when we first walked in. I'll pay the extra $40 next time if that means having a better stay and service.
