Pros:Found the contract and fulfilled on the delivery.Cons:Didn't expect to be asked for insurance number. I was able to find it BUT inconveniently with extra time required for checkout.Reviewed May 31 2021

Pros:Vehicle was clean. Got an Expedition for price of minivan when they didn’t have the minivan we reserved. Gave $15 discount to offset poorer gas mileage of the Expedition vs minivan.Cons:1) Website let me reserve a minivan, including payment, but they didn’t actually have a minivan. We got an Expedition at minivan price, but it doesn’t have the storage capacity or gas mileage of a minivan. 2) Vehicle had 3/4 tank at start so we were told we only needed to have 3/4 tank when returning. The paperwork (which I should’ve verified) said it was a full tank at start so I had to return it with a full tank.Reviewed Jul 1 2020

Cons:I reserved a mid-size car (Elantra or equivalent), and got a Corrolla, which I have always understood to be a compact. The car was dirty outside (windows, body, etc.), and filthy inside with trash in the console and under the seat, as well as some sort of food all over the floor in the back. The windshield wipers were worn and did a poor job cleaning the windows, the wiper fluid was empty, and the dash was indicating "Maintenance Required" every time I started the car. Had to wait entirely too long when dropping off, as the agent was spending time visiting and chit-chatting with someone who was picking up, while I stood in the lobby with no acknowledgement of my presence. Overall, a very disappointing experience.Reviewed Dec 2 2018

Juan, knocked it out of the park At the American Fork, Utah LocationPros:Professional - Courteous - Knowledgeable - Reserved a vehicle online and went down to store to confirm size, the vehicle we really needed was not available. However, the one we reserved would do, just not ideal for what we needed. When we went to collect our reservation Juan mentioned that the vehicle we originally wanted came back early and was now available for time requested. We switched out vehicles and were still in and out in less than 20 minutes. Well Done Budget! for employing staff such as Juan. Need a vehicle at a reasonable price from a professional company. Terrible Service - Dirty VehicleCons:Arrived at the location to find the representative gone. Took 30+ minutes for him to return. When he finally came back, they didn't have the vehicle I requested. The car we settled on was filthy...looked like it hadn't been cleaned for weeks. Low tire pressure and they asked me to go fill up the tire at the local tire shop. Continued to leak throughout the weekend and was a huge inconvenience. Stopped multiple times with refill. The vehicle also needed the oil changed and ran quite rough.Reviewed Aug 22 2018

Pros:Nice van when we got it.Cons:Had to wait for over 3 hours from my pick up time to actually get the mini-van I had ordered 8 weeks in advance! Then the car wasn't really clean and had only 3/4 tank of gas. Check in was fine the man was really happy because he need a mini-van that people were wating for. Sounds familiar.Reviewed Aug 10 2018

Fine vehicle poor management at locationPros:As I find typical, I was upgraded to a better vehicle. It was actually better for my needs than what I had reserved.Cons:I have only been in to the Orem Budget location for two rentals, one truck and one car. That means 4 visits, 2 pickup and 2 drop off. Of those 4 visits, I heard, "We're a franchise and corporate has us overbooked. I don't know if we'll have enough cars/trucks," 3 of those visits. Add a long line and when I got my car it had crumbs on the seats and trash in the console and it was a pretty poor experience.Reviewed Jul 27 2018

They didn’t have a van for usCons:We got to the Budget office and they explained to us they had “overbooked” and didn’t have a minivan for us. They tried to give us a Ford Explorer, but as a family of 7 taking a 12 hr road trip that wasn’t going to work for us. We were out of luck and they didn’t do anything to try and fix the problem. Luckily we went to the Enterprise down the street and they were able to help us. It was a terrible experience and I’ll never use Budget it Kayak again.Reviewed Mar 16 2018
