Pros: SUV great value for the money, brand-new car. Good tires. No problems.
Cons: They don't answer the phone at the desk. Needed an access code to get into the parking garage, which I didn't have, so that added some time to the drop-off. Overall, not a big deal.
Pros: Omar was excellent. Thanks for a great rental experience.
Pros: Waited over 2 hours for car.
Cons: There was no car available.
Pros: Easy to pick up and return.
Bait and switch
Pros: I liked the price of the vehicle I reserved, not the price I was charged when I went to pick up the vehicle which was higher, nor the price I was billed upon completion of my trip which was higher still.
Cons: Did not like that the vehicle I reserved was 'not available' and they blamed it on me, saying I reserved the vehicle for pick up in park city, not Salt Lake City where I was due to arrive at the airport. They said the rental websites often crawl your trip itinerary via cookies and automatically input the pick up location or change it even if you put it down to be picked up in an airport. THAT SHOULDNT BE MY FAULT OR AT MY EXPENSE. Of course they tell me when I get there that the airport pickup taxes are about $100 more. I reluctantly agreed, after all it was a blizzard outside and I needed 4 wheel drive, but now my obligation was $450 instead of $350 for my 8 day long rental. Worse still, when I turned the vehicle in at the end of my trip they charged me $550, at first saying saying I had turned it in a couple hours beyond my week rental. NOT TRUE! Another associate upon further investigation of the time of drop off saw I actually paid for 8 days already and did not go beyond my contracted time. But the parking garage desk said they still couldn't do anything about it, and if I wanted to have anything changed to speak with the airport desk. BUT THE AIRPORT DESK WAS COMPLETELY UNHELPFUL. The airport desk said they couldn't do anything about it and to call someone else. I said I wanted to have my fee reduced by $100 and they said it was impossible to do. They charged me over $8 a gallon to fill up my tank of gas, said it was for 8 gallons of gas, but my tank was nearly full... NO WAY DID IT NEED 8 GALLONS OF GAS! And gas prices are less than $2 a gallon right now in Utah. So then I went back to the garage desk and offered to fill the vehicle up with gas and return it but they said it was too late, that it had already been returned in the system, cleaned and filled and rented to someone else. REALLY? THEY DIS THAT IN LESS THAN 20 MINUTES?! So then I explained again that I originally was only expecting to pay $350 and now I'm paying $550 and they didn't try to help me in any way. Just referred me to a number on the business card they gave me for a person in customer service to call and figure it out later. Now I'm home from my trip and get to tell my wife why my car rental was $200 more than it was supposed to be. And what are the chances the customer service rep is going to do anything different? Should I really have to speak with the customer service at the garage desk, only to be referred to the airport desk, only to be referred to the business card of someone not available until after the weekend? BAIT AND SWITCH, THEN THE RUN AROUND. Come on Budget, I've been renting from you for 20 years, you can do better than that. I shouldn't have to contact a third rep and waste more time trying to resolve this issue. If you care and want to resolve it, contact me. My email is firstname.lastname@example.org. I rented in SLC Jan 30-Feb 6, 2016. I'll remove this review and write a better one if you take initiative now to show me what good customer service really is.
