Pros:The car we rented was in good working condition, and was clean. It met our needs for the trip.
Cons:The check-in line at the airport to get the car took an hour and 45 minutes. Was not shown the car before picking up, so we just had to take their word for the condition of the car. I took pictures just in case. Also, there was no wiper fluid, so had to pay out of pocket at a service station.
Pros:The car served our purposes very well. We went with a regular 2-wheel drive and were able to get to every location we had planned on visiting. Our only complaint was the check-in. Quite a long line!
Cons:We specifically had booked a Golf for our tour of Iceland. However, when we went to pick up the car, we were told that we had reserved a Golf OR similar, and we were given a small Hyundai instead. When asked if we could get a better car as we were going to drive 2,000 kms, we were quoted a price that was over twice the initial quote. When we went to the parking lot to pick our Huyndai, we realized they had a ton of Golfs there...
Pros:I have withdrawn unknown deposit which is much more than the agreed value. Please clarify the problem.
Pros:Car was practically new and very clean. Ran well and got us where we needed to go.
Cons:Long wait to pick up and drop off car. Felt unnecessarily pressured to get additional insurance.
Pros:Reasonable rate for Iceland. Good fuel economy and condition of car.
Cons:The drop off system was unclear. Should notify ahead that drop site is remote. Also, you leave car while they check fuel and damage and transmit that to staff inside who then clear your account before you shuttle to terminal.
Pros:The pick-up was very close to the terminal, and without problems. We drove a practically new Hyundai that was clean. The drop-off was easy as well, and they provide a quick shuttle to the terminal. No complaints at all, and we would highly recommend Budget at the KEF airport in Iceland.
Pros:The car was dirty and had wiper blades that needed replacing, but other than that it was safe and comfortable for the size car we rented.
Cons:The check in process took at least 30 painful minutes. Price calculations were incorrect on two occasions causing the bill to be recalculated. We felt pressured into taking full daily insurance and had to firmly say NO!!! We rented a GPS that did not connect to the satellite which we did discover until we left the airport. The car had 7 chips, scratches and other marks on the return form. When we got to the car, I found two other small but very noticeable dents that were not identified. I was forced to return to the rental car location the next morning to point out the dents and return the non working GPS.
