Standing in line for well over an hour wasn't a pleasant experience...once we got to the counter it went smoothly. The return was smooth. The facility itself was very dated.

I booked an SUV and Budget gave me the smallest car they had. Pretty unacceptable.

When I searched, the price was displayed in Canadian dollars, but when I completed the booking, it was processed in U.S. dollars. In addition, the room had a noticeable smell of smoke.

The car only had just over half a tack of petrol at pickup and it could have been cleaner. The staff responded well, but it should have been fully fueled and ready. We also had issues with the insurance - this could be a Kayak problem. At pickup, I was told we didn't have standard insurance, which I though wasn't even possible. We had to pay extra to get standard insurance! I can understand full cover with zero excess being optional for extra cost, but standard is legally required, so I do not understand why it wasn't included by Kayak.
