Pros: Staff and Area
Cons: Everything was great
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The beautiful interior of the rooms, the atmosphere of the pool with the little cabana beds and waitress that brings drinks and food, the friendliness of the staff and the beautiful scenery. The convenience of the hotel restaurant and how delicious the food was!
Cons: The beds were too hard for us and were extremely uncomfortable.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Nice, quiet and well remodeled hotel with nice pool area and outdoor games. Nice view and Good family place
Cons: A little disappointed with the service in the restaurant. The staff was not very knowledgeable or experienced, and some menu items were unavailable. Food was good.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Gorgeous view of Texas Hill Country. The pool is surrounded by palm trees and colorful, flowering shrubs that attracted hummingbirds and butterflies. It opens early and stays open till 11 PM. The water's warm and we stayed up for stargazing with little light pollution, nice cool breezes and no insects. The rooms are spacious and newly renovated. There are a lot of fun spaces to play games or lounge. The food at the Texas Bistro onsite restaurant was excellent and we enjoyed eating outside on the wide porches. They had onsite entertainment in the Barrel Room where we enjoyed drinks and an excellent cheese and meat platter appetizer. There's a chef garden onsite where they pick fresh vegetables, herbs and microgreens to compliment the menu. They have a full service spa onsite. We stayed eight days. It's a half hour drive into San Antonio's Riverwalk. It's a great venue for a wedding. The entire staff were very welcoming and helpful, a rare find! We will definitely return.
Cons: No problems, it was totally relaxing.
8.3 Excellent
Pros: We enjoyed being a ways away from the central part of San Antonio. The first night we did have some issues with the TV and the airconditioning. They were finally resolved by moving us to a different room. It seemed that the restaurant staff was fairly new and not completely trained yet. We were given complimentary tokens for breakfast, which was nice for our inconvenience about the room. However, the first day, we were charged for coffee and hot chocolate but not charged for beverages the second day. They didn't have sufficient cash to change a $20, so we were not able to leave a tip for the server.
Cons: see above

10.0 Excellent
Pros: We absolutely enjoyed our stay at Hillside. The staff was ALL so friendly and helpful. As great a crew as any hotel or resort I have stayed at. It was me and my daughter and some friends who stayed for a softball tourney in town and we were blown away with the place. Breakfast and the restaurant were amazing. We plan to come back.
Cons: the rattlesnake I almost stepped on. haha
9.5 Excellent
Pros: Loved the style and feel of the place. Really felt upgraded in quality from our last visit.
Cons: Our tub/shower was very slow to drain and there mold/mildew in some of the grout to give it an ick factor, but the rest of the room was great.
