Pros:

That I booked a truck and it would be ready for pick up.

Cons:

The customer service at the rental place could of been a lot better. Having a truck available would of definitely been a plus. Not being frowned upon fir using a third party agency to book what should of been my rental. Having the truck I reserved or anything to accommodate the size of the vehicle I rented. Again the customer service sucked.

Will not rent from budget again. Prepaid for rental Plane delayed got in at 9:30 we’re staying hour from airport and they said we couldn’t take both vehicles because they were rented by same person. We had 8 adults and 6 children plus 8 month old baby Corporate wouldn’t respond because too late. Wouldn’t give us refund because she didn’t have authority one of our group had to drive to airport an hour and pick us up to go back an hour to our house Called on Monday to get things straightened out got cut off 6 times before I got someone to talk to. Finally got a refund for one of the vehicles that they wouldn’t give us that we already paid for. TERRIBLE customer service !!!!!!

Pros:

The vehicle was not cleaned inside or out. It had a very strong smell of cigarette smoke inside. The staff was not helpful at all and said that no other vehicle was available. I should have canceled and requested a refund!!

Cons:

The paperwork clearly stated the vehicle was a no smoking vehicle AND that there is a $400 cleaning fee! I'd like to know if these clowns charged that to the previous renters!

Cons:

It was a surprise that on top of the payment I owed $80 in taxes. This negated the benefit of this transaction vs other reservations. Then, my flight arrived at 9PM. Hertz was closed. I could not get a rental car for one night as none were available so I had to Uber for $60 more. So not reserving here next time.

Pick up took too long. We waited for an hour. Pick up counter staff was not friendly and made us feel like I was in prison at a visitors gate. However drop off was good. Although there were not enough staff there because it was late, the guy who takes in cats was very friendly and helped us a lot.

Do NOT rent from the Hertz airport location in Corpus Christi. They literally do not answer their phones. Ever. This was confirmed by an agent at the other Corpus Hertz location where I had to move my reservation.

The first agent I spoke with was boderline rude. I was the only person in line and was waiting patiently. She sent me across the airport for a facemask before she would speak to me. Under normal circumstances not a big deal. That day I was dealing with a sprained ankle. Not a fun walk. Second issue, the Rogue we got had no running headlights. We discovered this the second night there when we attempted to drive home, in the dark. Ended up calling my brother to come get us and locked the car up in a convenience store parking lot. Third was driving back to the airport to get the car replaced. I bought the tank of gas. The clerk initially stated I would have to buy another tank of gas. Thankfully, she understood the issue and I did not have to pay for another tank of gas. The second female clerk I spoke to was better, nicer, and much more pleasant than the first one.
