Cons: car location was listed as Barnstable AIRPORT; we took cab to airport for $8 and then found it wasn't on airport property; called THRIFTY and they couldn't come get us so we had to take ANOTHER taxi! THRIFTY did reimburse us THAT cab fare!
Staff was very helpful but wasted 45 minutes of FINDING our car!

Thrifty Car rental in Barnstable was terrific!
Pros: Our experience with Thrifty in Barnstable was great. We were picked up at the Transportation Center and taken to the office to fill out paperwork. The staff was helpful with ideas for a breakfast spot before we headed to our destination on the Cape. Our experience couldn't have been better.

Pros: The car was clean and in very good condition. The people at the agency were nice and also flexible when we had to make a change. The rate was more than competitive. We found that renting with Thrifty was a positive experience.
Pros: I am glad there's an office there - even if it's a tiny one without restrooms.

Car smelled heavily of cigarette smoke
Pros: It was easy enough the retrieve car.
Cons: Car smelled heavily of cigarette smoke, like it’d been smoked in a lot more than once. There was a bottle of Fabreeze under the drivers seat. While picking up the car the attendant filled out the survey upon renting the car (asking if the car was clean etc.) for us and didn’t acknowledge the questions to US. Probably won’t rent from this Hertz location again.
Cons: We were driving from Falmouth MA to Boston which is just a little over a hour away. When we got to Boston I had put in the address of the rental place to return the car to. It turned out to be a storefront with no place to park the car and we had no directions on where to take it. I tried to call the rental company and I could not get through to them. In fact I was on hold for over 5 minutes and then they hung up on me. Without anyone answering. We finally had to park out in the street and one of us ran in and asked where to take the car and it turned out to be in a parking garage down the street. We had tried to find a gas station in Boston to fill the tank back up with gas but were unable to find one anywhere. So we decided to go ahead and take the car back because we use such a small amount of gas. They charged us $30 for gas and it should have only been for about 2-3 gallons.
