The car rental location was closed when we arrived
Cons: We did not get the car as location was closed. We had to get another ride back to the airport from this 'Off-Site' 3rd party car rental place ...not actually an official Budget rental site. We had to go through the rental process from start to finish at the airport. Luckily we were able to get the car we wanted as a 'walkup' to the counter!! I will never book through Kayak again

Excellent and friendly customer service!
Pros: I actually rented a car at a location away from the airport, but staff at the airport helped us get a car on-site and got us a great rate on a larger vehicle.

Kayak is A Nightmare to Rent From
Pros: Absolutely nothing! It was a nightmare from beginning to end. I will be happy to tell you all about it.
Cons: The rudeness, the lies, the filthy office, the lack of assistance, the list goes on and on.
Cons: I had a 12 o'clock pickup time at a location that, unknown to me, closed at 12 o'clock. How can that even be possible? And then on top of that when I got there at 11:50 my vehicle wasn't even there and I was forced to wait. Although I was offered a car that just happened to be there and ready at twice the price. I arrived by taxi and never once was it mentioned that a $20 credit/reimbursement might be an option even though I later read that on the website. The employee tried to sell me the insurance by questioning my insurance deductible and trying to convince me that my $500 was most likely $5,500. What a terrible tactic to sell me something I already said I didn't want or need. He also went on to warn me that more accidents happen in Palm Springs than any other California city. Really? Come on! Overall I left feeling dirty and that Hertz tried to take advantage of every in order to get more money out of my pocket.
Cons: 1. The radio worked intermittently.
2. I rented a car from PSP and was then told to pick up my car in Cathedral City. I was then told it would cost more to pickup at PSP.
3. I waited in line for nearly 30 min. because the computer was down.
4. The person at the desk was rude and condescending, he took absolutely no responsibility for the error in rates and blamed it squarely on Kayak.
I will never rent from HERTZ again. this was a horrible experience.
