The value of renting the car and process was worth it. However, pickup with the shuttle went terribly since they hadn't come from an hour, ignored my phone calls, and I ended up ubering to their office from their assigned pickup point.
Got in to the airport at 5:45. Apparently they close at 5:30pm. What kind of a rental car place closes? People depend on it. Horrible! Had to rent a car from someone else.
Can't beat the price. I'm very happy with the rental and would use them again.
When I booked this rental, the description showed the rental center was off-site as were all the other major rentals, Avis, Budget, Dollar, etc. What WASN’T revealed until our plane landed was that a 2nd shuttle from the rental center was required. That shuttle dropped us at an office located through a garage into a grimy building with all vacant offices except the U-Save rental office. After completing the paperwork (which included a statement that there would be no price adjustments if the vehicle was returned early- which we did after experiencing the multi- shuttle issue), we had to walk down a hill to a parking garage to get the car. The vehicle itself, a Toyota Corolla, (these are now “standard”, not “compact”) was a brand new hybrid and worked well except for the 1 trip we took with all 5 of our party - a bit cramped. When we decided to return the car early to avoid the dual shuttle situation on our departure day, we were directed to wait in the dark, grimy garage for the shuttle to return. 5 other folks arrived with their luggage also. After waiting around 10 minutes, we decided to Uber back to the hotel. We trudged the 1/2 block up the hill from the garage (we’re 72 and 83 years old) , where the shuttle would have been also, and got an Uber with no problem. The Uber pulled up at the same time as the shuttle - which was a 7 passenger mini-van - it would’ve been a tight squeeze. Bottom line - decent car but not worth the aggravation. Spend a few more dollars for a name brand company. I wish we had.
