The office wasn't very organized, the car didn't have gas, car seats weren't available for rent, the car was fine but smelled like smoke although it said non smoking. It wasn't as nice as other cars from other companies, and even from other Enterprise locations.

Desk agent attempted to up-sell every markup possible. Did not even present the options of not purchasing insurance, attempted to add a driver (my wife) without my consent, pushed excessive toll package despite knowing route had minimal tolls, and even said “what if something bad happens to you” when I continuously declined these frivolous packages.

Tesla wasn't even charged fully after we gave them 2 extra hours to have it ready. We missed a once in a lifetime special occasion due to their poor management.

The agent left work early so I was unable to pickup my car when my flight arrived, even though I entered my flight info in Kayak's database. I had to rent a car from another provider.

They incorrectly blamed me for the smoke smell in the car upon my drop-off. It was inconvenient to have to call and get that charge dropped. Great car though!

Cons:

At airport, no shuttle to off site rental car place. Called 1-800 # customer service to have them get a hold of somebody at offsite Alamo for a shuttle. Customer service agent did call the offsite place and said nobody was answering left a message with my contact # for them to get a hold of me and I still, to this day, Never received a call. It’s been 4 days.

Pros:

The manager when we picked up the vehicle was extremely helpful. He personally got our vehicle, warmed it up as it was 16 degrees and loaded our luggage for us. He really went above to assist us.

Cons:

Alamo needs to correct their automated answering messages as they do not direct customers correctly. Was not able to get to a real person, messages sent you in a circle and then disconnects.

Excellent! I've rented many times, but this was the first time I can remember that I was given a completely new vehicle that hadn't been driven before. This made for a very enjoyable vacation!

The price was very good. It did take a long time for them to get a vehicle that matched what I had ordered. The Nissan Rouge ran well, but I had to put air in the tires, the key fob had a low battery, and the car didn't look completely cleaned as some things were left over from the previous users. The car windshield had a slight chip in it. I took some photos, as I don't wish to be charged for something that was on the car when I received the car.

Long lines for pickup due to single Hertz counter that was also serving Dollar customers with onky one agent at counter. Car not cleaned and filthy. No checking process; I still have not received a final bill. Never again using Dollar/Hertz.
