Cons: They seemed very busy, we waited about an hour for our car to be washed and prepped. When I originally made the reservation I was told that we would be reimbursed for the cost to get from the airport to your off site area, but was told no at the office.

Excellent Customer Service
Pros: The lady helping us get the rental was very helpful and went out of her way to help us get everything settled.
Cons: On the downside, we had the original car the first night. On the 2nd morning the low tire pressure light was on. The rear hubcap was broken and had been pushed into the tire stem so we couldn't add air. The Enterprise office we were closest to gladly traded it out for a different car. Unfortunately the replacement car was not nearly as nice as our original car - not a comfortable, fewer amenities, and used more gas.

Pros: price, cleanliness, and staff
Cons: Tire pressure light was on because two tires were low. Went to put air in the two tires that were low, but the internal computer was mixed up in which tires were actually low; therefore, I mistakenly over inflated front tires when the back tires were the ones in need of air. No big deal just took a little extra time and patience to fill the correct tires to the correct levels.

Not as promised
Pros: They didn't have a van for us to take upon arrival, so we went with a smaller SUV. Not a huge deal but disappointing when traveling with 6 people and luggage all week.
Cons: We called and confirmed 2 children car seats, they didn't have them upon arrival (they did notify us as we were at the airport, nothing we could do about it at that point). We were told we had to go pick these up from another rental place- Alamo. They had no idea what was going on when I got there- it took nearly 2 hours to get everything from start to finish with all the drop offs- Also, enterprise's tag line is we'll pick you up- after messing up our reservation we asked if they would pick us up- they said no we are not authorized to do that. Its really frustrating when you don't get the services you requested or paid for and the company does little to help you out. I am avoiding enterprise from now on.

Such helpful staff
Pros: The staff were upbeat and fun and were flexible with my pickup and dropoff times. I didn't take it, but I was offered an upgrade for a very reasonable fee. They even let me return the car to the airport Enterprise, which was a huge help.

Pros: Nice folks, they had a good car ready as promised. It was also a great deal.
Cons: Car could have been prepped a little better, kind of stank of perfume from previous customer so i had to wipe off everything. After that it was fine. They also gave it to me with almost no gas in the tank. so i immediately had to go fill it. But it was such a good deal that these things are minor.

Pros: Everyone was very nice. Service was pretty quick. Best of all, they didn't have the car I originally reserved so they upgraded me at no cost to a brand new SUV.

Counter agents couldn't be nicer
Pros: I ended up here while looking for an alternative to the high PDX tax rates. And I really enjoyed the interaction. First, these are personable, pleasant people who treat you like a customer. Second, they are willing to give you a break. Did you underestimate the rush-hour traffic on I-205? Run into a protest while getting out of downtown? In my case, they gave me another hour. It's also reasonably close to two different MAX stops, and not a bad walk (if it's not raining). And my agent have me tips on local driving customs? What was not to like?
Cons: Nothing. Happy camper.

Accommodating & Friendly!
Pros: Brendan & his team were efficient and accomodating to every guest during our transactions. We planned on a spontaneous trip out to Portland & booked literally a last minute rental... Straight out of the terminal type of last minute. A car was ready within the small time frame and it took us longer to get to the office (10m) then to check out our car & start our adventure.
Pros: Everything was great. The car was clean and reliable. The staff were friendly and helpful! And the price was very reasonable! Overall impressed!

Overcharged with no explanation.
Pros: My experience was fine until I received my bill. I was quoted $283. 80 for a rental from Dec 22-Jan 1, 2017. My bill was 438.76. I was supposedly given a USAA upgrade, fee waived, by the Hertz associate, but this is not the case. I would like to talk to customer service at the earliest opportunity. Terrible customer service
Pros: Cheap, fuel efficient
Cons: Rude customer service agent at pick up. Kept asking to upsale me into an SUV when I clearly told him I was looking for fuel economy on this trip.
At drop off we arrived 3 minutes after close, but before the employee had left. I realized I was going to have to use the drop box and tried to ask him what I needed to do, but all he would say is that I had to pay an extra day and marched off. I had to call customer service to get the full details on what info they needed from me for the drop box. They weren't very helpful, but it got done. Now I'm stuck paying an extra day for a car I no longer have because I was 3-4 minutes late, despite Hertz website stating there is a 29 minute grace period for drop off.

Information provided by Kayak was wrong
Cons: On our confirmation docs it said they were open until 6pm, we showed up at 5pm and they were close. This killed the first 2 days of our trip. You should compensate us for that.

Cons: The location for pick up was closed when we arrived and the staff there was unable/unwilling to assist us. Spent an additional two hours trying to get a rental car through another hertz. Will never use them again.

Pros: The associate that assisted me out of Portland was extremely friendly and helpful with his recommendations. It was largely beneficial for our road-trip. Drop off was hassle free.
Cons: Having to pay for a drop off fee in another state. I get it. But it definitely hit the wallet hard. I also did not know that I needed a credit card over a debit card. Luckily I brought one, however, I typically do not and that would have been a very unexpected and unhealthy charge elsewhere.
