I never got the car. I was called the morning of my trip, suggesting that the car I wanted wasn't available and that I would need to get the next available size up at my expense. As if that wasn't bad enough, my travel plans had me in town around 6 PM, my reservation time. I was told that it needed to be by 4 PM. That was impossible, so I canceled the reservation. It was utterly unprofessional to blindside me like that on the day of my trip.

My experience was excellent until I needed customer service after I got home and realized I left my glasses in the car. The pickup was awesome, the agent was excellent in getting us a car - can’t say enough good about him. And drop off was a breeze. However, I forgot my prescription sunglasses in the car after I got home. I immediately tried to call AVIS to see if they could help. No one was available Sunday night, so I called Monday morning and when I selected “lost and found” I received an error saying they couldn’t connect me and try later. I tried several times Monday into Tuesday morning with the same results. So I called a different number and they gave me the local Concord, NC number and I got through. The lady was very helpful and said she would call me back but as of 9:45pm Tuesday night I haven’t heard from her. I certainly hope my glasses can be recovered for me.

Absolutely horrible. They put greed over honoring a contract and almost completely ruined a trip for my scout group so they could make More money for the vehicle

After confirming reservation and express check in we received an email hours before we were to pick up the vehicles saying they did not have our vehicles and wouldn’t have them u til the 7th. After calling we were told that the Charlotte airport Avis had one we could rent for $6000 over $5000 over our reservation price. After arguing for several hours about them not honoring the agreement we were told we could go to Charlotte to get the vehicle at the agreed upon prices. When we arrived there we were told we only had 1. The. We were told we had to go to we had to go to the concord location because they did i fact have 1. After 5 hours of lies, runaround, arguing, and demanding they honor the contract we had the vehicles needed for our trip.

Poor. So disgutisting the drop off service. I never rent a car with Avis Again. I had to payed $800 more for “closing the contract” without any reason

The experience was poor, They did not have the car I reserved, the one they gave me had a dead battery in it, and we had to call road side assistance twice to jump it, causing may hours of delay in our vacation, when we were at our destination we swapped out for a new car, that had a slow leaking tire, that we had to return to Avis twice a day to get more air, more time lost, in total over half a day. We finely got a third car on our final day of vacation that was given to us with an empty tank of gas, but was in running condition. Avis would not compensate us for the fuel in the two cars that were bad or for all the time we lost on our vacation, being stranded and having to put air in our tire for there defective cars.

The car reeked of cigarettes. The return in Raleigh was very confusing.

Car was not well maintained. The maintenance light was in whole time. It blocked outside temp reading which I like to see. The car’s gps didn’t work, big negative for me. It had lots of dings to outside surface. I just felt the maintenance was poor. I did like that I could use my car key the traditional way and that it was a simple car to use. This was my first z budget rental. I was disappointed.

Pros:

great economy. For a small car rode fairly smooth.

Cons:

One person taking care of cars. Floor seats had stains on them as well as a big stain on passenger side carpeting that they tried to mask with deodorizer..We waiting a half hour to return car to finally putting keys in box and leaving.

Pick up : gas tank empty had to immediately stop for gas, windshield smeared, no windshield washer fluid. No place to park when car dropped off. Had to call for assistance when tried to call a second time the phone would not accept calls. Drop off desk was closed at 5:05 pm on a Friday. I had scheduled for return by 6pm, no indication they would be closed and no mention of this when car was picked up. Had a bad experience with Hertz a few years ago. Tried them again but will avoid them going forward.

The amount I paid and the fast service was great.

Cons:

The car was full of dog hair from the previous renter I'm assuming. When I first saw it I thought it was just a little but but oh noooo... it was everywhere!!! Like how did the clerk miss that??? Like what if I was allergic to dogs???? I had to rush and leave so I didn't have time to switch the car out.
